Upon saying so, she headed upstairs in quick strides.

With a long face, Mu Heyuan stood up from the sofa and eyed the others with a frown. He said, “There’s some work I need to do at the company. I’ll be heading off first.”
Old Madam Mu suddenly added, “Oh right. Do you know what’s going on with Gu Corporation?”
Gu Corporation had been doing very well all these years. It was almost unbelievable that something like this would befall their company.
This made Old Madam Mu suspect if there was someone behind this financial crisis.
Mu Heyuan shook his head. “Gu Corporation isn’t responding to any inquiries. I’m confused as well.”
“Alright. You should head to work now.”
Once Mu Heyuan left, the Old Madam headed back to her room.
The only ones in the living room were now Li Tongzhi and Mu Xingyu.
Mu Xingyu’s affair with Yifan was still a heated topic, and she wanted to avoid any questions on their relationship. Hence, she remained at home instead of going to the company.
After everyone had left, Mu Xingyu could not resist asking Li Tongzhi, “Do you think the investors have anything to do with the man in the picture, Mom?”
Although they did not manage to see the man’s face, the luxurious car next to him was definitely eye-catching. It was a limited edition car which was not something anyone could own.
Li Tongzhi frowned and shook her head. “It’s hard to say. I guess we can always find out when we sign the contract with the other party. All that aside, Mu Siyin is such a lucky girl! I wonder how she met a man like that.”
If one wanted to find out a man’s status, one would usually look at the type of car he drove.
Upon hearing this, Mu Xingyu firmly clenched her fists and gritted her teeth. “I don’t believe that she didn’t have sex that night!”
After all, Mu Xingyu was the one who had drugged Mu Siyin’s wine on her birthday. She knew how powerful the substance was. It made perfect sense if he became her new boyfriend that way.
