Change the Name and Continue
Clayton was silent for a moment before he spoke indifferently.
“Those who want to leave will definitely take away some people, so don’t force them to say. Continue to
pay salaries to the rest that stay until we’re back on track. I’ll get third-party agencies from Mediania
and Liberty to cooperate and check the company’s accounts. When the time comes, you’ll have more
work to do.”
The acting president waved his hand with a bitter smile. “I don’t get my annual salary for nothing. No
worries, but… The accounts can’t be checked out overnight.”
Clayton’s eyes flickered as he looked at the acting president. “The accounts won’t be clear, just stop
when you see fit.” –
‘What do you mean by that?”
Clayton laughed lightly. “Clean out the entire senior management. Find out those who colluded with the
Sloan family in private and fire those who betray the interests of the company. This company is rotten
from the core. If you want to bring it back to life, you have t o cut out the rot. Even if it’ll hurt at first, we
still have to do it.”
The acting president looked at Clayton in silence for a few seconds and suddenly smiled.
“I thought you really gave up on this place, but I finally realize today that you’re the one who cares the
most here.”
Clayton was stunned for a moment and smiled.
“Nah, I’m just talking as a third-party observer. I admit that I have my personal agenda for wanting to
take this opportunity to remove dissent.”
The acting president suddenly laughed.
“Your personal agenda is the same as mine.”
The acting president knew from the day he took over Sloan Corporation that the company’s internal
management was rotten to the core. If he wanted to continue the legacy, he had to be prepared to be
unprofitable for the next five or six years.
However, he was worried that the company’s management would not let go of him and make him into
their puppet instead.
The two men looked at each other with a smile and understood each other’s intentions.
As long as Clayton was firm in his stance, the acting president was confident to tide over these difficult
times.
Clayton paused for a few seconds. “Nicole spent a lot of effort to bring you over here, right?”
The acting president raised his eyebrows, seemingly a little surprised. “Mr. Sloan, I thought you didn’t
know about it…”
Clayton smiled. “She told me from the beginning that she recommended you.”
“No wonder you’re not afraid that they’d bribe me.”
The acting president shook his head.
“In that case, this place is completely in your hands.”
‘I can’t possibly name the company, right?” The acting president shrugged his shoulders. “It’s not good
to just leave it be.”
Clayton hesitated for a moment and picked up his phone. “I’ll ask Nicole.” The acting president was
speechless and thought, ‘Wow, is Mr. Sloan so obedient to such an extent? Why does he need to ask
for Ms. Stanton’s opinion on such a small matter?’
Nicole was holding an impromptu meeting when she received a video call from Clayton.
Yes, it was a video call.
She was angry with her subordinates that a project for losing a project to their rival.
The four related department heads were careless for a moment. They sat in Nicole’s office with
trepidation as they received her wrath.
Nicole looked at the people in front of her with cold eyes. “A moment of carelessness?! This project
was snatched away. Didn’t you think of why it happened?”
The project manager braced himself and replied, “It’s because the partner temporarily backtracked
since someone offered a lower price than we did…”
Nicole coldly snorted. “I found out later that this partner has been working with us for many years and
has always given a sincere price. You deliberately lowered the price so that you can get more
commission, right?”
She looked coldly at the project manager in front of her.
Nicole did not show any mercy.
The project manager’s face instantly turned pale. He was so scared that he broke out in cold sweat. 4
