Rebirth of the Heavenly Empress Chapter 208 - Does He Want To Die?!

Chapter 208: Does He Want To Die?!

Yu Hongchang gazed at the still-burning lamp in the study. His murky eyes grew sharp. “Has Young Master Yu really gone to Country H?”
“Yes.” The Yu Family Head answered.
“He is insane.” Yu Hongchang clenched his fists, he felt like sweeping the lamp onto the ground. “Does he want to die?!”
The Yu Family Head lowered his eyes, not daring to answer in case he further angered Yu Hongchang.
“Have you found out who is the other person linked to this lamp?” Yu Hongchang took a deep breath.
“Not yet. The Young Master has really clamped down on this information. Apart from Mr. Chu and his team, no one else knows.” The Yu Family Head sighed. “However, we can start at Country Hua’s Green City.”
Yu Shijin was the smartest person he had ever known.
“Green City?” Yu Hongchang’s eyes darkened when he heard those two words. “That rundown place which that father of his left for him?!”
The Yu Family Head stole a glimpse at Yu Hongchang.
That stubborn old man. Why refer to him as “that father of his”? That was his own son!
Nevertheless, the Yu Family Head didn’t dare to voice out his thoughts. He just said very respectfully, “Should be.”
“Go and investigate,” Yu Hongchang said through gritted teeth.
“Oh, Ning Baokun wants to see you…”
Before he could finish his sentence, Yu Hongchang cut in coldly. “Ask her to get lost!”
The Yu Family Head quietly retreated. He didn’t dare to raise the subject of Dugu Wu.
Inside the house, Yu Hongchang stared at that glowing lamp in a fury. In the end, all the rage dissolved into one heavy sigh.
Outside the house, Dugu Wu felt somewhat down as she had not seen Yu Hongchang yet.
Ning Baokun couldn’t bear seeing her disappointed face. She hesitantly said, “I will give you Shijin’s cell phone number, can you contact him first?”
“Thank you, Auntie!” Dugu Wu’s eyes lit up.

Meanwhile, at Country H.
“Qingqing, have we come here to play?” Yu Xiangyang sipped a cup of milk tea, strolling casually beside Su Huiqing.
Country H’s weather was rather hot now.
Su Huiqing put on her baseball cap but kept silent. Those bright eyes of her continued gazing forward.
The embassy was over there.
Countless armored vehicles and special police forces wielding guns surrounded the area.
The situation had been like that for many days.
Most people couldn’t wait to get as far from this place as possible. The entire Country H was enshrouded in a stifling tension.
“I am looking for a friend.” Su Huiqing tucked her hand into her pocket. She gazed at a car parked right in front of the embassy.
“Friend?” Qu Yan blinked. She stuffed the final piece of ice into her mouth. “You have a friend in Country H?”
“Eh… strictly speaking, this friend is not a Country H citizen.” Su Huiqing played with her cell phone, her voice somewhat solemn. “But he should be here now.”
Hidden under her cap, no one could see the profound expression on her face.
Gu Li turned away from the embassy and looked at Su Huiqing with probing eyes.
He was not as naive as Yu Xiangyang and Qu Yan.
He naturally understood the meaning behind Su Huiqing’s out-of-character behaviour.
Su Huiqing stayed for three days beside the embassy.
It was only today that he noticed a Country M private car had appeared amongst the crowd of vehicles.
That looked like… the car of the Country M commander-in-chief?
But he just couldn’t understand. According to what Su Huiqing said, did she mean that the commander-in-chief was her friend?
His lips twitched at the thought of it.
“Let’s go.” Su Huiqing tightened her grip on her cell phone and lifted her eyes. “No more strolling around.”
Just as she turned, a large group of suited men rushed out of the embassy, before lining up in two neat, respectful rows along the side of the path.
Su Huiqing observed the occurrence with indifference. She continued walking leisurely toward the hotel.
Until another car came to a stop in front of the embassy.
A handsome figure alighted.
A face so pale that even the scorching sun rays reflected on his face seemed to have lost its original heat.
Su Huiqing paused and tightened her hands around her cell phone.
“You guys head back first.” She could hear herself speaking very calmly.
Yu Xiangyang and Qu Yan wanted to say something, but Gu Li dragged the two of them off.
Su Huiqing remained standing there looking at Yu Shijin. If it was in the past, he would have already spotted her. But he had his eyes lowered, totally oblivious.
She recalled the message that Chu Xuning sent her three days ago.
Yu Shijin’s illness had flared up again.
She immediately recalled the way he vomited blood last year.
And that chaotic pulse.
This was why she had concealed all news about her, so that he could concentrate on recuperating.
She never expected that in the end, he had still shown up.
He was not supposed to be in Country H, but he had shown up after all.
Su Huiqing lowered her eyes, before lifting her hand and seriously typing in a series of numbers.
Yu Shijin was not in good condition.
His face was very pale, and he felt cold all over. The glaring sunlight made him feel ill-at-ease, and his vision was blurred.
His mind was in a mess.
Countless images flashed by. Whether it was in the past, the present or in his memories, that person stubbornly held onto his hands, refusing to let go.
Until his cell phone rang.
He took out and glanced at it. His eyes instantly cleared. This number…
He thought he would never get an answer from Su Huiqing.
He never expected to attain it.
Looking at that number, he was truly stunned. So stunned that he just continued staring at his cell phone until the ringing stopped.
He remained dumbstruck, his body swaying a little.
He leaned against the car door and looked at the chief detective through narrowed eyes. “You guys head in first.”
“Boss?”
Yu Shijin’s face was pale, but his voice was as domineering as ever. “I said to go in.”
The team went in. He was about to press redial when his cell phone rang again. He immediately picked it up without looking.
Dugu Wu never expected him to pick up her call so quickly. She said happily, “Master Yu?”
