Chapter 68: I Want You To Speak
In fact, Chu Xuning had been following Yu Shijin for three years.
Nobody knew what he went through those three years.
His sudden return to Green City and his acceptance of the capital’s mission had messed up Chu Family’s current setup.
He created such a big ruckus the moment he returned and this had started to make the higher-ups unhappy, especially those who belittled him after seeing how he rarely turned up at the military and just wandered about, doing nothing.
So, after what happened last night, many of them started to have objections against him and thus, they sent Chu Deputy Regiment over to irritate him with some sarcastic words.
Chu Xuning was aware of their opinions.
But he did not take them seriously.
He turned off the surveillance video and smirked in a mocking manner, saying, “Do you know that if Chu Family is not in Green City, judging from our current capability, we are not even in the position to work with her.”
Old Master Chu looked down, lowered his head and listened to their argument. Naturally, he was satisfied with his grandson.
However, he still felt shocked at Chu Xuning’s words.
He did not expect his grandson to give such good comments to that brat from Su Family.
On the other hand, Chu Deputy Regiment was rather distressed. He opened his mouth and wanted to say something.
Suddenly, the entire atmosphere in the main lobby turned cold and solemn.
A figure appeared at the door, standing against the sunlight. The person stared at the three people in the main lobby with piercing eyes, looking colder than usual.
Nobody knew how long he had been standing there.
“Did he leave anything behind?” Yu Shijin landed his gaze on Chu Xuning and asked him.
Chu Xuning was taken aback for a second as he expected Young Master Yu to lose his temper. Then, he immediately handed him the thumbdrive that Chi Yue left behind.
Yu Shijin received the thumbdrive, but he did not stuff it into his pocket.
Instead, he gave it to Su Huiqing who walked in from behind him.
“There’s some information inside it,” He said while turning his head slightly, before continuing, “It should contain what you want.”
Su Huiqing did not take the thumbdrive from him immediately as she scanned the main lobby instead.
“I heard that you’re against the partnership between the Chu family and the Su Family?” Nobody caught how she reached Chu Deputy Regiment in such a short amount of time.
When they finally realized what was happening, she was already gripping onto Chu Deputy Regiment’s collar with one hand.
A small smile formed on her gorgeous face. She lifted one corner of her lips to give off a callous feel.
Chu Deputy Regiment was shocked beyond words. With that speed of hers, she only needed one second to kill him.
“I’m in a good mood today.” Su Huiqing sniggered, adding, “I won’t haggle over it with you.”
She released him slightly.
And with that, Chu Deputy Regiment, who she was grabbing tightly onto, fell to the ground with a loud thud.
Yu Shijin stood there as he placed the thumbdrive on the table and then lit up a cigarette, looking at Su Huiqing without blinking.
His dark and hollow eyes resembled a bottomless pit.
“The first essential of a soldier is abidance, and the most important point of a general to a commander is that you must be able to convince others,” Su Huiqing looked down at her clothes and tidied them while speaking. Then, she pointed at Chu Deputy Regiment and said, staring hard at him, “These kinds of people will be instantly driven out by me if they appear at Su Family.”
An army who could not master even the simplest abidance.
Su Huiqing sighed.
She tidied her clothes in a casual manner.
And even her voice sounded lazy.
But every of her word hit Chu Xuning’s heart heavily.
“I don’t have the patience and I’m very scared of incompetent teammates,” Su Huiqing stuck one hand into her pocket and took the thumbdrive from the table with another hand. She tilted her head and said calmly, “I hope none of you will be that incompetent teammate.”
This moment, even Old Master Chu did not say a word.
Su Huiqing was the first one who dared to despise someone from the First Army.
And what she said was correct.
After taking the thumbdrive, Su Huiqing headed towards the door and just when she wanted to leave, she thought of something.
She stopped in her tracks and turned back to look at Yu Shijin, saying, “I owe you a favor.”
Her eyes could clearly distinguish between black and white, giving off an exceptionally cold and unapproachable aura.
Yu Shijin bit onto his cigarette and leaned against the table. Upon hearing what she said, he squinted his eyes and said, “Noted.”
After she left, he looked towards the other three people in the main lobby and directly told Chu Xuning, “Call the military higher-ups over…”
He put out his cigarette as he spoke, a bloody smile creeping on his face, “If there’s still anyone unhappy about the Su Family, ask them to say it in front of my face!”
Chu Xuning exchanged glances with Old Master Chu.
He saw the shock from his eyes.
“And you,” Yu Shijin stood up straight and told Chu Xuning, “She’s right, you’re indeed lacking in some way.”
Chu Xuning was speechless, “…”
“Let’s go,” Chu Xuning grabbed onto Chu Deputy Regiment to gather the military generals.
Chu Deputy Regiment felt his legs wobbly as he asked, “Xuning, who…who was that man?”
“Who is he? Zijin’s commander.” Chu Xuning patted his shoulder and smirked before continuing, “He’s someone whom even the chief-in-command won’t dare to offend. I would say that you guys have great courage.”
**
Su Huiqing returned to Su Family.
She directly inserted the thumbdrive into her computer.
After speedily reading through all the information, she placed her arm on the back of the chair and spat out two words, “Dark Angels…”
Obviously, this was a new rising power.
It was reasonable for them to capture Luxe, but capturing Gu Li…
She placed her finger on her lip and pondered over it. Suddenly, her phone lit up with a message sent by Yu Xiangyang—[Qingqing, we are downstairs!]
Downstairs.
Yu Xiangyang, Qu Yan, and Gu Li were all there.
Qu Yan’s entire face was very red, she looked like she was fuming mad and her mood was in a flutter.
Yu Xiangyang was also in a similar state. He clenched his fists tight and leaned against the table, the anger building up inside him visible to everyone.
Among the three of them, Gu Li was the calmest one as he just stood there, frowning.
Gu Li would not usually show his emotions, but even he was frowning…
Su Huiqing lifted her brow slightly before taking a fruit platter from Uncle Chen’s hands. She placed it on the table with a loud ‘clang’ and turned to Qu Yan, asking, “Tell me, what happened?”
Qu Yan lifted his head and wanted to say something when Gu Li stopped him.
Gu Li took a peek at Su Huiqing and looked like he was thinking of something.
Su Huiqing stretched her hand out to take an orange, taking her time with each step.
The entire atmosphere became solemn all of a sudden.
The three of them stared at her peeling the orange, the tension in the air heightening.
At that moment, they felt their heartbeat stop.
“Have all of you calmed down?” She took a scan at the three of them only after she finished peeling the orange.
She eventually landed her gaze on Yu Xiangyang. Giving a cool smile, she said, “I want you to speak.”
