Chapter 198: Before I Flare Up, Scram
When it came to military firearms and equipment, it was almost impossible to find a power that was on par with Apollo.
“Apollo.” Su Huiqing leaned aside and called out to Apollo mildly, but her gaze was on the flames of war outside.
“Hmm?” Apollo turned his head towards Su Huiqing.
Su Huiqing’s expression was very calm, but her eyes were extremely black. She only reached out and pointed at that island. “Go and test the power of the particle beam gun.”
Upon hearing this, Dugu Yusheng, who had been leaning aside, couldn’t help but turn around suddenly and looked at Su Huiqing.
His eyes were slightly darkened.
Dugu Yusheng pursed his lips. There weren’t many people in the world who dared to talk to Apollo like this.
Su Huiqing knew that he was looking at her.
And her expression didn’t change at all.
The particle beam gun was a new weapon that she had given to Apollo for him to study.
She had only tested its power theoretically.
Upon hearing her words, Apollo’s hands paused slightly before he smiled, his golden eyes glowing.
“Brother, excuse me.” He reached out and patted Chu Xuning’s shoulder.
Su Huiqing just leaned on the cabin wall as she watched Apollo fire a shot towards that island.
Everyone in the fighter jet knew that Apollo had many new weapons on hand. Thus, they stopped firing and looked towards that island.
However, there were no skyrocketing flames.
Not even a single movement.
Chu Xuning blinked, and the edge of his mouth twitched—he was slightly in disbelief.
“Well,” He looked sideways towards Apollo as he lifted his nuclear gun once again and lifted his brow. “Brother, let me do it instead.”
However.
Just as he was speaking.
‘Boom—’
The entire island suddenly collapsed!
Such a situation even made the usually calm Yu Shijin raise his brow, needless to say for the rest.
Dugu Yusheng only turned his gaze towards Su Huiqing.
She was looking down and not looking at the dramatic collapse of the island. Instead, she had one hand in her pocket as she stuffed earphones into her ears nonchalantly, looking graceful and indifferent.
As if she had predicted this scene.
The particle beam gun used a particle accelerator to accelerate charged particles to near-light speed, shot them to a target area, and caused damage from within.
This also explained why everyone saw no changes to the island at first before everything collapsed in the next second.
Not only did Yu Shijin didn’t hold back in this war, but the same also applied for Su Huiqing.
This was completely a landslide war.
No need to think otherwise.
The sun gradually rose from the horizon of the sea.
When everyone was discussing the particle beam gun, Chi Yue only looked towards Su Huiqing.
However, he didn’t look for her so straightforwardly.
There were too many people on this fighter jet. He wouldn’t act rashly in front of the International Police.
The fighter jet landed in the Yu Residences.
Once Chi Yue alighted from the fighter jet, he snapped the mini laptop close and followed Su Huiqing to a remote corner.
“Captain…” Chi Yue looked at Su Huiqing with slightly darkened eyes.
They had met under unfavorable circumstances previously, and he had yet to ask many things.
For example, Su Huiqing’s current identity, how did she change her looks completely… and how did she turn into Missy Su of the Green City.
Su Huiqing smiled and removed her earphones, her eyes as clear as ever. “This was the reason for me not meeting you previously—to wake up in another body… was too absurd.”
“I’ve investigated that explosion. It was caused by yourself…” Chi Yue held his fists tightly.
He lowered his eyes, and it was hard to tell what he was thinking of from the mirror. She could only feel that even his voice was trembling.
“I had no choice but to do it.” Su Huiqing stuck her hand into her pocket and smiled at Chi Yue. “The mastermind has yet to appear, and I still can’t return to the Unknown Island now.”
Chi Yue was the last person to join the mercenary regiment.
But he was the one that Su Huiqing trusted the most.
He was also the one whom she had the most chemistry working with—once he heard her words, he knew what she was going to do.
Had no choice but to do it…
Chi Yue looked down, his nails almost piercing into his palms.
Yu Shijin was standing a distance away, looking at the two of them calmly.
He was even holding a cigarette in his hand and had a cold look in his eyes.
“The military doctor is here.” Seeing that they had finally finished talking, he stubbed out the cigarette in his hand and grabbed her other hand.
His pitch-black eyes scanned her arm that was already covered in blood.
This time, the military doctor wasn’t the same person as the previous time. After Yu Shijin brought Su Huiqing in, he left in a hurry to look for Yu Hongchang.
“My name is Ye Xing, and I’m a military doctor in the International Battlefield. This medicine is specially developed by our medical team and isn’t easy to find.” Ye Xing slowly applied the green colored medicine all over Su Huiqing’s wound before he spoke casually, “Miss, your surname is also Su?”
Su Huiqing leaned against the sofa with her feet slightly resting on the tea table as she sent messages to Qu Yan and the rest with her other hand.
Hearing this, she merely glanced sideways and replied coldly, “Yup.”
“Oh no,” Ye Xing laughed briefly and put on a new bandage for her. “Thinking of it, you’re the second Miss Su that Master Yu has brought back. The last time was a year ago at the old mansion—I’ve never seen Master Yu in such a panic. What a coincidence—both of you have the surname Su.”
Su Huiqing looked up slowly and said very mildly, “Is that so.”
Ye Xing’s smile froze. She glanced sideways towards Su Huiqing, not expecting her to actually be so calm.
If it was another woman who heard this, even if she wasn’t sad, she would probably at least be angry or ask more.
“Miss Su, have you ever been to the old mansion?” Ye Xing frowned and continued saying, “I remember at that time, it was rumoured that Master Yu had arranged for a military troop to the old mansion to protect that Miss Su…”
“Miss Ye,” Su Huiqing threw her phone away, reached out, and clenched her wrist. “I only want to heal this injury in peace. If you continue being chatty, I’ll make sure that you can’t speak anymore for your entire life. Got it?”
Her lips curled up in a really wicked manner.
Ye Xing only felt that if Su Huiqing clenched slightly tighter, her wrist would break.
With a pale face, she nodded cautiously.
Only then did Su Huiqing release her hand, picked up her phone once again, and sent a message to Yu Xiangyang lazily—”Go back to school right now.”
“Done?” Yu Shijin came back very quickly with a hand in his pocket and asked calmly.
“Yup.” Su Huiqing stood up straight away, tugged at her collar with one hand, and smiled at Yu Shijin. “Thanks. I wanna go back first.”
“Let Xu Ning send you.” Yu Shijin frowned slightly.
He still needed to attend to some matters—he needed to wrap things up after the major incident last night.
Su Huiqing merely waved her hand leisurely with her back facing him.
Then, she strode out the door unhurriedly.
Yu Shijin lit a cigarette and watched unwaveringly as her figure disappeared.
He suddenly thought of something as he looked over at Ye Xing, his voice turning cold again. “Prepare two bottles of that medicine and ask the chief detective to send them over to her.”
“Okay.” Ye Xing nodded, reached out, and pulled her hair behind her ear, revealing her wrist that had been bruised by Su Huiqing. “This Miss Su seems to have a bad temper. Just now, she still wanted to make me unable to speak for the rest of my life.”
Everyone in the entire military knew that there was a characteristic about Yu Shijin—justifying faults.
Yu Shijin had wanted to go upstairs.
Upon hearing this, he paused, looked sideways over at Ye Xing, and spoke with a very calm voice. “You offended her?”
“I, Master Yu…” Ye Xing was slightly stunned.
Yu Shijin reached out, flicked the ash off his cigarette, and interrupted her mildly, “Don’t appear in front of her in the future.”
Ye Xing tried her best to work up a slight smile. “I…”
“I don’t want her to be unhappy.” Yu Shijin glanced sideways at her and said coldly.
Then he turned around and went upstairs. Even his back view was cold and harsh.
—
At the Su Corporation.
Xie Zhengyuan stood by the window with his eyes narrowed as he called someone.
A lazy voice came through the phone. “Xie Zhengyuan, are you back at the Xie Residences?”
“Only back at the International Association.” Xie Zhengyuan looked at the busy streets downstairs as his eyes gradually darkened. “Last year, when I was being kicked out of the International Association as an abandoned son, I’ve never thought of going back to the Xie Residences.”
“Why not you come to our Galaxy Steel—that poor D-Class company of yours…” Qi Lan stepped on his stool and turned around as his voice became stern.
“Poor D-Class company? Qi Lan, do you still remember that “A Life Of Overturn” person?” Xie Zhengyuan lowered his voice and asked in response.
“How can I not—that sicko.” Qi Lan clicked his tongue—that ruthless person who almost made the Galaxy Steel lose their shares.
Xie Zhengyuan said very calmly, “She has come to the International Association. This Class-D company is hers. Pfft—I’ve laid low for so long and those people really thought that I was afraid of them.”
Qi Lan went silent for a while. He then ended the call.
Xie Zhengyuan wasn’t surprised. Instead, he looked downstairs. He could still remember that a year ago, that girl stood before him just like this and only said a statement to him.
“Join the Su Corporation. I’ll help you to get back into the International Association.”
It took her a year to do it.
Xie Zhengyuan thought for a while, looked down, and sent her a message. “Wanna talk to you about something. Also, Empress Su is here. I’ve brought it to the office—come and get her when you’re free.”
Very quickly, he received a word—”Immediately.”
Qi Lan, who was in the headquarters of the Galaxy Steel hung up the phone with a slam, took his jacket, and rushed outside.
“Hey, President Qi, you haven’t signed on this document!” His secretary stared at his back view.
Qi Lan waved his hand. “What’s the point of signing this at this point—that’s it, I’m going to see an expert, talk more when I’m back!”
At 4:30 P.M., at the fringe of the International Association’s business district, in the Su Corporation.
Swoosh—
A car stopped by the roadside.
The car door opened and a young lady wearing a white blouse and a pair of black pants alighted.
She didn’t leave immediately. Instead, she looked at the crowds surrounding the company’s lobby.
She still had her earphones on and a book in her hand.
Her eyes were rather cold.
The person leading that group was a man in black with a green dragon tattooed on his arm. “Are you a staff of the Su Corporation? I heard it has always been a D-Class company. However, in the International Association, D-Class is just a start. A new company ought to act like one—how dare you guys go against and compete for business with a veteran company? Since no one taught you guys, I’m here to teach you a first lesson for free. Since you’ve just gotten into the International Association, if you’re a dragon, you’ve gotta coil yourself up—even if you’re a tiger, you’ve gotta lay down. Otherwise, you won’t even know how you died someday.”
As he spoke, he pressed a lit cigarette onto a staff of the Su Corporation.
His smile wasn’t too friendly.
They were surrounded by crowds of onlookers.
This was how the International Association was like.
Especially at the fringe of the business district that was filled with E-Class, D-Class, and C-Class companies. This place was like an abandoned place for the exiles. With no police instilling order and no formal rules, those who were stronger and more violent ruled the place.
With Xie Zhengyuan, Su Ruohua, and the rest, the Su Corporation must have shown its prominence once they arrived.
And hurt the benefits of some people. Naturally, those veteran companies would find ways to get rid of the Su Corporation.
In the International Association, no one cared if your methods were orthodox or not.
Thus, most of the new companies who came to the International Association couldn’t survive—not because they were managed poorly, but because they were not capable enough.
Su Huiqing reached out and covered her darkened eyes.
Gradually, she smiled.
Since the Su Corporation is already here at the International Association… they would take a huge gamble.
Just as the lit cigarette was about to land on the face of that Su Corporation’s staff, she narrowed her eyes, lifted her arm, and threw the book in her hand towards that man in black with a swoosh!
The book and the lit cigarette landed on the ground with a thud.
“Who is that?!” The man in black held his hand in pain, his eyes looking ruthless.
Su Huiqing raised her hand, removed her headphones slowly, stuffed them into her pocket, and looked up.
Under the sunlight, her eyes were extremely gorgeous and cold.
With her hand in her pocket, she squinted at them lazily. “I don’t care who’s backing you guys up. Before I flare up, scram.”
