Chapter 793: Lex’s Revenge (Part 1)

Stephanie was puzzled to see that Eleanor was no longer afraid. As Stephanie was a little fearful of Saleen, she did not continue to agitate Eleanor. She instead began to use magic to treat Eleanor’s injury by sealing up the wound and stopping the bleeding so that the tendons would not be broken completely.
By the time Saleen returned, there were no longer any visible injuries on Eleanor’s body.
Stephanie took out an equipment from her spatial equipment and began to assemble it by the side. Saleen came over and looked at Eleanor.
“My Lord,” Eleanor smiled weakly. Saleen stretched out his hand and cast a Chunlin spell to mend her body a little.
“I’m back. I will help you gather whatever you need. Eleanor, anything that can be solved with money is not a real problem.”
Anything that could be solved with money would not be a real problem. What Saleen said was philosophical, but at that point, Eleanor had been placed onto a moving wagon by Stephanie’s Floating spell. On the other side of the magic tower was a large-scale equipment that Stephanie had taken out from her spatial equipment.
Based on the size of this equipment, perhaps it would not be accurate to classify it as a large-scale equipment. It was only slightly more than three yards long and two yards tall. There were only a few tens of supplementary mechanical parts.
When Saleen saw this large-scale equipment, he knew that Eleanor stood a chance of making a full recovery.
The main body of the equipment was a crystal that was about two yards long and could fit an entire person in it. Stephanie did not pay any attention to Saleen. She took off Eleanor’s clothes and dumped them into the crystal box.
After Eleanor had been placed in the crystal box, Stephanie closed the machine up and continuously mounted metallic boards onto it. Eventually, the alchemy machine turned into a metallic box and in the middle of it floated Eleanor’s crystal box.
The mage’s crystal coffin!
The equipment that Stephanie had taken out was something unheard of even in Alchemy City.
The mage’s crystal coffin was a large-scale equipment that was specifically used for healing purposes. This type of equipment could only heal one person at a time and time needed for the healing process would be extremely long.
This type of equipment was created back when mages were studying divine spells. The outcome was that the mages realized that healing using divine spells would always be faster than using magic spells. If one could only be healed by magic spells, either the outcome would not be the best or the price to pay would be extremely high.
Within the mage’s crystal coffin, Eleanor floated in the middle of the box and looked at Saleen, who was standing on the outside.
She did not feel embarrassed, nor afraid. She was unsure of what Stephanie had taken out, but the equipment was definitely increasing all sorts of elemental power in her body.
Elemental powers were usually used for killing people and less often used for saving lives. Fortunately, all the elements in the crystal coffin had begun the healing process for Eleanor.
The mage’s crystal coffin was connected to twenty-four containers, which Stephanie had filled with magic medicine.
Saleen was puzzled and looked at Stephanie. It was clear to him that Stephanie seemed to have prepared the equipment long ago. He was surprised that an item like this, which he had only heard of before, not only existed on drawings, but was also made by someone.
“This was something that I had prepared for Grand Emperor Chanake. No one expected him to die in the Tanggulasi Empire,” Stephanie said to Saleen.
Stephanie’s voice was calm, but there was a tinge of sorrow in her heart that could not be expressed. Such sadness could not be staunched.
She was a mage that had been groomed by Grand Emperor Chanake all her life. Before his death, she had been to Alchemy City before and found Imposa to help her refine this piece of equipment. Refining the mage’s crystal coffin served a simple purpose.
She was Grand Emperor Chanake’s personal mage, so the purpose of the equipment was that it might be used to save his life in the future.
She had received news of Grand Emperor Chanake being killed by the Holy See by the time she returned to Holy Rock City. To an ordinary person, Stephanie had less than half of her lifespan left. Everything that she did served only one purpose and that was to help Grand Emperor Chanake.
For a royal mage to have taken the entire Grukos family into consideration, it was clear that Grand Emperor Chanake had always been everything to her.
That stubborn man had thought that he could resist the world based on his strength and power alone.
After Saleen had seen this large-scale equipment, he knew that at the very least, Eleanor would not be handicapped. She might no longer be able to shoot arrows, but she could definitely continue to be a mage.
Saleen put away Seven Nights and in his hands was a piece of drawing paper.
On this drawing paper was an elvish half-plated armor. Eleanor had given this to Saleen. On this piece of paper was a magic armor that only the elf royal family would wear. A huge elvish word was carved onto the chest of the armor. The elvish word was complicated and surrounded by circles of magic symbols.
When Eleanor passed Saleen this piece of drawing paper, she had mentioned that only true elves would be able to wear the armor. She would no longer be able to use it after becoming human. Her intention was to let Saleen pick up some techniques of elvish magic and not necessarily for him to refine it.
Now, Saleen took out the drawing paper and put it in front of the crystal coffin so that Eleanor could see it.
Eleanor smiled when she saw what Saleen did. Saleen’s meaning was clear and it made her feel warm and secure. Saleen had decided to refine this piece of elvish half-plated armor for her.
“Alright, Saleen. If you still want to continue admiring Eleanor’s naked body, you can wait until her injuries have been healed. I believe this elf is willing to give you whatever you want. Right now, I need to perform an in-depth treatment. Please give us some space.” Stephanie said to Saleen coldly.
“I know. I will gather all the resources that you have expended to replace them.” Saleen put away the drawing paper and bowed to Stephanie before leaving the seventh story of the magic tower.
In the south of Daliang City, the attack from Cloudflow was getting intense. They had unleashed their gigantic magic beasts. They were of low levels and they were dragging huge magic stone artilleries while charging towards the city wall. They were shooting magic stone shells while they were charging.
The magic stone shells flew into the city and their angles and coordinates were adjusted very quickly.
Tens of magic stone artilleries focused their attack on the arrow tower on the south gate. If this arrow tower was destroyed, there would be no alchemy crossbows in the next few hundred yards to suppress enemy attacks. By then, the Cloudflows would not need to worry about alchemy crossbows and could attack the gate with ease.
Nicholas stood on top of the city wall and had yet to discover the traces of any strong opponents amongst the Cloudflows. Battles were as such; if the enemies were powerful enough to determine the outcome of the battle, then there would have been no need for equipment to be created.
Qin arrow towers were like horrifying porcupines that could shoot out fatal magic arrows any time. The outcomes of many famous battles throughout history were centered around how the powerful arrow towers were destroyed.
Although this tactic might seem silly, it was actually the most effective method to break through a city. The armies of the Tanggulasi Empire hated the Qin arrow towers because countless holy priests had died because of them.
Nicholas felt ashamed for not going to rescue Saleen, so he was keen to prove himself in other ways. He was determined to track down the enemy’s strong opponent, who would be targeting the arrow tower, and kill him. He did not know how to face Saleen when he returned otherwise.
Nicholas could sense that the terrifying force in the city had disappeared and there had been no news about Saleen and Lex. On top of that, there had been no changes to his bond, which meant that Saleen was still alive and that terrifying thing was dead.
Indeed, Saleen and Lex were powerful enough to kill something like that.
Gusion was leading the dragon-slaughtering corp in clearing up the debris outside of Saleen’s bedroom. Nothing was preserved as everything was turned into dust by the angel’s attack.
Gusion and the officers and soldiers of dragon-slaughtering corp saw the powerful attack and knew very clearly how the debris was created. His Master, Saleen Metatrin, was someone who, not only survived that attack, but also managed to kill the enemy.
Every single member of the dragon-slaughtering corp was astounded. As they were clearing up the debris, they saw many materials such as broken pieces of metal. His Highness, Saleen, managed to remain unscathed despite such an attack!
Subconsciously, these soldiers began to develop admiration and respect for Saleen. Such feelings would never be removed once they had been developed. Just like how the Tanggulasi people worshiped their God, these people had also become disciples of Saleen.
The commoners of Qin had a saying –’there was nothing that mages could not do’.
This was a clear indication of the status of mages amongst Qin people. On the other hand, Sikeqinyans did not share the same sentiments towards mages. Their attitude towards mages was one of respect.
These people only developed such feelings because Gusion had instructed them to clear up the debris.
The sky was dull and the water puppet had dissipated. The moon hung high in the sky, as if the heavenly angel was never there.
The hostel of the Tanggulasi Empire had already been surrounded. The tragedy that occurred there had already been reported. Very few mages understood what exactly happened. The retaliation against the Tanggulasi Empire was about to begin.
The Tanggulasi people had ordered their envoy to kickstart the assassination attempt on Saleen and Lex. This time, Lex would no longer tolerate this and she had every intention of retaliating devastatingly.
This retaliation would no longer be a controlled one. Lex wanted the Tanggulasi people to remember the consequence of going against the rule of a battle.
The mages recorded the magic images in silence before duplicating the scene of the Tanggulasi people’s deaths. These magic images would be sent to many places, including Holy Rock City, Alchemy City, Sikeqinya and even Cloudflow.
