Nailisi was scared too, as she got mature, she understood some things naturally. Her bloodline was special and had much room for growth. It was hard for an imp like a Luoluokaluo to grow up. She was special, she had gained almost unlimited life to grow on the Myers Mainland.
Sooner or later, her powers would break free from the bond of this dimension and she would escape Saleen’s grasp.
Nailisi had no idea too what she would do when that day really came. At least for now, she was still sure what she was going to do tomorrow; help Master become strong.
“Nailisi, once I am out of the Purgatory Desert, I will be going to Holy Rock City to see Joey. Follow me then.”
“He is a dangerous person, isn’t he?”
“Yes, perhaps the most dangerous in the world. I promised him and if I don’t go, I will be going against my word.”
“Will Sister Sika be going too?”
“No, just you and me.”
“Master, Holy Rock City doesn’t seem too friendly to you.” Nailisi reminded Saleen.
“Then are you scared?”
“What is there to be scared of? At most…” Nailisi almost spilled the truth, she estimated that by the time they left the Purgatory Desert, she would have already summoned the demon. At most she would escape to the demon dimension with Saleen.
Even though it was equally dangerous there for a Luoluokaluo with three powers, it would not be a problem protecting a grade-5 mage like Saleen. She already had the ability to use magic. She would get all the remaining contract scrolls from Lex and by then capture a large number of demons to work for her. Then a supreme demon would not dare to offend her.
Nailisi was from the demon dimension and so long as she had the coordinates and summoned the first demon, she would have her ways to return to the demon dimension. By then, very little people on the the Myers Mainland would be able to threaten her safety. If she could get Lex’s God Ring, entering and leaving the dimensions would be even safer.
It was a pity that master would not promise her, Nailisi shook her head in defeat.
Saleen patted her head and said, “Relax, my badge can would be recharged soon. Even a grade-9 sorcerer won’t be able to withstand the powers of lightning. It is a shame your powers are only defensive and they can’t be used to kill enemies.”
“Master, those lightning dragons that you have been keeping, can’t they?”
“They need to evolve first before they can leave water. I do not have enough magic nuclei on hand. The amount of food they go through every day is incredible.”
“Master, I have a plan.”
“What plan?”
“You will know in time.” Nailisi thought. What does the demon dimension have the most? Magic insects. Some of the magic insects on the demon dimension were comparable to a whale. They would be enough to feed the lightning dragons. Once she called upon enough demons, she would let them hunt for magic insects for Saleen. He would no longer need to worry about food for the lightning dragon by then.
“Nailisi, do not let the lightning dragons eat people.” Saleen had assumed that Nailisi wanted to kill humans for him. When he entered the city, he had gained certain enlightenment and he would never do such a thing again.
“Master, human flesh isn’t nice, I don’t even want to eat it.” Nailisi licked her lips, giving a wronged expression.
“Alright alright, I know. Nailisi, Bear with it for a while more. From today onwards, do not leave my side until…”
“I understand.” Nailisi immediately broke into a smile. Killing Bifano was not anything difficult. The way he looked at her was lecherous and defenceless. His armor was a little weird. The Dragon Tooth Dagger might not be able to pierce through it, however, there was no armor on his neck and a single bite would do.
Nailisi had not seen anyone who could still live with a broken neck, she was the best at biting the necks of her prey.
Bifano was not a dandy and when he returned to Fire Dance City, he had met with the wealthy who had come forward to seek refuge, redistributing the defensive plan, giving out the rations, and stabilizing the public. He then started gathering his army and prepared to attack the pink army’s nest. Lex and Saleen were temporarily forgotten by him and he did not worryabout them.
Bifano had decided to give up Fire Dance City at the start, however, many wealthy had followed him this time and the army of Fire Dance City had expanded to over twenty-thousand people. This did not even include his five-thousand elites. With these twenty-thousand people, he could defend the city completely.
The terrain of Fire Dance City was incredibly special, the army around the side was hard to move and only cavalry could enter quickly. They could not bring with them any large-scale equipment to attack the city. Only the front of the city needed to be defended and twenty-thousand people was enough to fend off a one-hundred-thousand strong army. Not only that, looking at the situation now, more people would come there to seek refuge. His father was missing and once he heard that he had settled down there, he would definitely figure out a way to return.
If his father returned, he would be able to attract more people. By then he would be able to use the two strongholds of Fire Dance City and the Myers Temple to defend against the invading Cloudflow army.
It was a pity that there was not any arable land near Fire Dance City. The terraced fields on the mountains did not produce much and needed the irrigation from the magic disciples. He had no choice but to give up on large groups of farmers and could only sustain his troops with the rations that they had gotten through extortion. This was not a long-term plan and sooner or later, he would need to choose a side to support. It would not be much if the Cloudflow Empire admitted the Agares family again, but if they did not, supporting the Qin Empire would not be a bad choice.
If he captured Lex and took her to Holy Rock City, the emperor had to accept him.
Lex was not slacking away either. Bifano had not revealed her identity. even though some of the grand mages were strong, they did not dare restrict her freedom.
Although Fire Dance City had strict security, the shops were still open. She had sent mages out for two hours and they had managed to hire dozens of mages there.
Someone had tipped Bifano off, but he heard that she was only recruiting mages to create scrolls and he did not take it to heart.
Lex was not satisfied. If she was in Bitter Water Prefecture, she would only need a month to create ten-thousand scrolls. She would not even need to do it herself. The mages that she hired now were mostly grade-3 and only two of them were grade-4 mages. They could only produce several hundred scrolls daily.
This was also because she had high-quality empty scrolls, if not she would be lucky to create twenty to thirty scrolls a day.
Luckily she had brought with her two grade-5 mages and four grade-4 mages. They had an incredibly high success rate of creating grade-3 scrolls, making very little mistakes. The entire process was basically a process of using the formulas and besides the restoration time needed while meditating, the rest of the time, Lex was creating the Fossilization spell scrolls.
Even though a grade-3 Fossilization spell was not very good, it was a waste not to keep it. It was a single target magic, it was effective against creatures under grade-3. Against those above grade-3, it could only be used as a controlling magic without much killing power, unless it was targeted.
The Metal Titan was suppressed by the Fossilization spell, but it only slowed him down for around a second. Saleen had closed his room door the moment he reached here, not meeting anyone. Lex did not want to force him to meet anyone. She reckoned that he was preparing something to help him with their trip to the Purgatory Desert.
Lex was right, Saleen was replenishing the energy of his badge. His badge could contain the powers of lightning. Since Saleen had the twenty-four young lightning dragons, he would constantly place the badge in the necklace to absorb the energy that the lightning dragons released.
The young lightning dragons did not have much attack powers, but as Saleen constantly let the badge absorbed it, its replenishing speed was much faster than if he were to do it himself. The lightning dragons released the powers of lightning and there was no damage to the badge as it absorbed. According to Saleen’s predictions, it would take at most another two days for the badge to recharge with enough energy to release that powerful lightning strike again.
This was Saleen’s strongest attack and even if he were to meet with any grade-9 magic beasts, he was confident in killing it with a single shot. It was a pity that the powers took too long to amass and it was a one-time attack.
In the Goddess necklace, the lightning dragons grew quickly. Saleen fed them with red krill every day and used up many magic nuclei. The time in the necklace passed incredibly quickly and the badge was constantly stimulating the lightning dragons. They grew almost twice the speed which he had predicted.
Saleen kept counting the amount of food that he was using up and he had no choice but to slow down the passing of time in the Goddess necklace.
After seven days, Lex repeatedly asked to stay in Fire Dance City for a longer time to prepare the equipment to deal with the pink army. In actual fact, she was rushing the production of the fossilization magic scrolls, she had long prepared the equipment to deal with the pink army. Bifano could not reject as he needed her help to enter the Myers Temple.
At the start of October, she finally made a move on Bifano’s request. He gathered over five-thousand cavalries and hundreds of chariots worth of resources, moving south. Along Hantze was one of the strongholds of the Agares family. The Cloudflow army had crossed the Chishui River and did not immediately come to clean up.
Saleen’s skeleton war horses had long returned to the green spirits, the magic chariot was dragged by four handsome war horses now. Inferior horses did not have much explosive powers and were not suitable to charge into battle.
The terrain near the Hantze region was complicated and the pink army’s nest was among a patch of swamp. It was impossible to enter from the south and was completely isolated from the Cloudflow Empire. Entering from the north during autumn was not a bad decision. The water entering the Hantze had fallen and this swamp was affected too.
Compared to the Chaotic Marshes, this was still a safe place, the threat of magic beasts was small there after all. Bifano looked at the map in detail again. The army carefully passed a dangerous zone, reaching the center of the swamp almost without any losses.
The land there was already incredibly firm and there was tall grass as tall as the height of two people there. Bifano’s army was stationed on high ground, it was impossible to set up any post on the lower grounds of this swamp as there would be a flood after a storm. Even in autumn, they had to be careful.
Bifano came beside Lex’s chariot and asked carefully, “Viscountess, there is less than half a day until we reach our destination. The enemy might notice us any time, are you prepared?”
“Bifano, don’t worry, I will assemble the equipment fifty miles away, the terrain here isn’t good and assembling them too early would use up too much resources while moving.”
“I understand.” Bifano quietly retreated, hatred welling within him. When he had his own powers, he would no longer need to accommodate others. “Lex, you won’t be cocky for long.”
