Chapter 734: Ransoming Good Grace
Shang Han was speechless. Even though these were people from the Dark Coalition, sometimes even they could help with taking care of ultra beast problems for the governments. More importantly, these people might actually have someone powerful backing them up.
“Sigh. Fine. Since this S-tier has decided to stop, these people probably would not hunt you down anymore. But you should stop with this nonsensical campaign right now. Don’t go to the Amazon Alliance again, you hear me?”
“Of course I won’t. Besides, there isn’t anyone else that is worth killing there.”
It was true. Qin Feng had killed every single powerful criminal that was active in the Amazon. There were still some left but these were quite powerful and cunning—it would take him too much effort to find them. Besides, there was still an S-tier that wanted to take his life over there.
Hearing this, Shang Han rolled her eyes at him. “What? If there’s still someone that is ‘worth killing’, you want to go back there still?”
Qin Feng beamed up a smile. His body gestures seemingly affirmed that he would indeed still go back there to kill these criminal scums.
Shang Han shrugged. “Well, it’s best that you stop now. I’ve told them that I’ve called you back to base.”
Qin Feng nodded. “Certainly. Oh, now that they have a lot of B-tiers slain overnight… their faction would be weakened. It’s high time for us to grab more territories between our and their borders. And I would like to have some bonus from this.”
“Yeah, don’t worry. You’ll get your bonus.”
Although Shang Han was dumbfounded by what Qin Feng did, she was quite pleased with the results. In general, Qin Feng’s actions had brought great benefits to the Huaxia faction.
After hanging up, Shang Han sent some men to the borders to fight for more territories and resources. Qin Feng, on the other hand, asked Bai Li to handle their villa’s visitors while he meditated.
Qin Feng had killed a lot of people in the battles in the Amazon. As such, he had accumulated a huge amount of internal energy in his dantian. Out of seven A-tiers that he killed, six of them were ancient warriors. Although he had used up a lot of his internal energy reserve, Qin Feng still had three of these ancient warriors’ internal energy in him. And these were about as huge as 150 seas too.
And that was not all.
He had also absorbed over hundreds of B-tiers’ powers; and about seventy of them were ancient warriors. Then, there were the C-tiers. About 80% of the seven hundred C-tiers that he had absorbed were ancient warriors too.
In other words, if Qin Feng did not digest these energies soon… his dantian might explode from overloading.
These energies were also the reason Qin Feng kept on killing these Dark Coalition members—he needed a means to release them.
“Asteroid Assimilation… no wonder people consider this is an ‘evil’ neigong.”
Regardless, Qin Feng did not regret learning Asteroid Assimilation.
If it were not for this neigong, Qin Feng would not be able to take on so many ancient warriors.
“Absorb!”
Qin Feng activated his ability and started to absorb these internal energies that were crowding in his dantian.
Perhaps the effort to absorb that took a great deal of effort, Qin Feng’s head started to fume with vapors.
After quite some time, he was finally able to separate the energies that he could and could not absorb—he absorbed the former while releasing the latter using his consciousness.
Thus, his internal energy kept on increasing as minutes went by.
One sea of internal energy…. two seas of internal energy… then, more and more energy accumulated in his dantian.
When he was finally done, Qin Feng’s dantian now had an increase of 300 seas of internal energy!
Qin Feng opened his eyes and breathed out white, warm vapors.
“If I did not waste too much energy killing these people… I might be able to get a lot more than this. Sigh. Killing seven A-tiers is indeed a difficult feat.”
“Still… killing these people isn’t as beneficial to me compared to killing ultra beasts. After absorbing so much internal energy from these people, I still haven’t reached B3-tier yet! Hmm… still, it’s a great way to increase my internal energy… yeah, I should be content with it. It’s rare to have such a chance to get three times the amount of internal energy I got like this in one go after all.”
Qin Feng walked out of his training room confidently. Yet, when he stepped out of his room, he immediately sensed that something was off.
Qin Feng quickly activated his qinggong and rushed to the living room.
Then, he saw him.
A visitor.
A visitor that he never wanted to see in his home.
Bai Li was sitting next to this visitor in the living room. The latter seemed to be having a good time on the sofa, already treating Qin Feng’s villa like his home.
“Hey, little fox. Gimme more of this fruit wine! It’s really nice!”
Bai Li rolled an eye at the man. “You’ve gulped down 8 bottles of these. How are you not dead yet? Actually. Why don’t you just die already? So, I can devour you. I bet your flesh can make me a lot stronger than I am right now!”
“Oh, come on. Is this how you treat the person who saved your life?”
“What you’re doing is worse! You’re ransoming us just because you did something good to us!”
“Sigh. How ungrateful… If I knew this earlier, I wouldn’t have saved you.”
Qin Feng walked toward them as they finished their conversation. He looked at this visitor straight in the eye—it was Z. And as always, Z still looked young and handsome, still had that weary look in his eyes. However, right now, he looked quite relaxed and less daunting than their last encounter.
He then looked at Qin Feng with weird glitters in his eyes.
Qin Feng could not help but feel his body tense up. It was rather uncomfortable to be treated as a “peculiar specimen” by this mad scientist.
“Damn, boi! If I haven’t seen it myself, I wouldn’t believe it. You could actually grow so strong in just half a year. I’m starting to regret that I gave you 3 years before trying to acquire you again!”
Qin Feng was able to ascend from C4-tier to B2-tier in 6 months. If given a little more time, he would have reached A-tier too.
Right now, Qin Feng’s potential was rather promising—in fact, if he reached A-tier, he might actually be able to take on an S-tier!
By then, would Z be able to have his way with Qin Feng? It might actually be a challenge to do so.
Qin Feng frowned as he sat next to Bai Li. He patted on her shoulder, trying to calm the white fox down.
“How can I help you, Mr Z?”
“What? Would it hurt you to say ‘thank you for saving my life’?”
Qin Feng smirked. “Your organization almost killed me back then. So, now that you saved my life, how about we call it even?”
Even though his grudge was from before he was reborn, Qin Feng could not help but still feel bitter about it.
Z did not bother to check whether Qin Feng was telling the truth and continued on chatting, “A grudge is a grudge. A favor is a favor. They are two separate matters. Now, perhaps you would like to return the favor I did for you first, then seek revenge from me? Hmm? It’s fairer this way.”
Qin Feng smirked. “Sure. Tell me what you want. But I have the right to refuse!”
