Chapter 813: A Rise to Fame
“Liu Chong is an A1-tier ancient warrior. A superbly talented champion. His Deca Kendo Strike is rather unmatched too! And yet, someone like him would lose to this kid?! Just who is this young man?!”
“Don’t you know? That’s Qin Feng! He’s the prodigy from last year!”
“Prodigy? Come on, be real! How could a mere young prodigy like that grow so much in just a year? To the point where he could beat Liu Chong?”
“Oh, you’ve been missing out, man! Lemme tell you his recent feats…”
Discussions and gossip started to spread like wildfire. Qin Feng’s recent feats, as a result, began to spread vast and wide to various cities in just a day.
The video of him beating Liu Chong had been watched by various ancient warriors again and again because it was a really good material for reference when one was to fight champions.
Many were curious about the martial arts that Qin Feng used in the fight too.
Just what kind of secret technique did he use to beat this A-tier’s S-tier martial arts?
Some ability users used their abilities and equipment to playback the whole fight in slow-motion. As everyone was impressed by the great display of Qin Feng’s skills, one person started to mumble to himself.
“This… looks like the fabled Wanzhong’s Spirit Chain Rend?”
Many knew about this Spirit Chain Rend. It was from a tale that many told one another from hundreds of years ago. Every S-tier in the Huaxia Alliance was the talk amongst others in their lands. Some of their feats were retold so much that it became something of an urban legend.
“Hmm, this does look like the Wanzhong’s Spirit Chain Rend. But… Qin Feng’s Spirits looked more beastly while Lin Wanzhong’s Spirits were all humanoids!”
“Well, this is quite understandable. Lin Wanzhong was a devil who murdered millions of people! This was how he perfected his Spirit Chain Rend—by using human souls. This was also why so many S-tiers got together to take him down back then!”
“Wow, so Qin Feng has mastered this legendary martial art? That’s impressive!”
“Indeed. And martial arts aren’t good nor evil. It all depends on who uses it. Unlike that murderer Lin Wanzhong, Qin Feng utilized the souls and spirits of the ultra beasts that he had slain. It just shows that when in the hands of a good man, a martial art has the potential to do good.”
Upon hearing this, the others nodded in agreement. No one had a problem in Qin Feng using this so-called “evil art” that came from a murderer.
Nonetheless, there were still some people who were paying a keen interest on Qin Feng’s mastery of the Spirit Chain Rend.

On the 9th Floor of the Dragon Capital.
Long Yue, Long Yunyi and a rather elegant looking woman were sitting together in a room, watching a large screen.
“It’s only been a while since we parted. And yet, he has already mastered it!” Long Yunyi sighed.
Long Yue nodded with a stern expression on his face.
Meanwhile, a beam of smile curved up on the woman’s face. “So, this is Qin Feng, huh? Interesting!”

In a fancy club in the Dragon Capital, dozens of clan leaders were gathering for a dinner.
Suddenly, they received a message before switching on a big screen. The screen showed Qin Feng and Liu Chong’s fight.
The joyous dinner turned into a dull torment.
Their faces were all grim and pale.
“So… remember we said we’d give Qin Feng 3 years?” One of the leaders opened his mouth.
They all then recalled that moment. They could not help but feel the sting of irony on their faces.
“3 years? I thought he was just stalling for time after all those bluffs. Now that I think about it… perhaps it was him that gave us a chance to save our faces. He didn’t even need 3 years. We can’t even touch him after just one year!”
“That Fengli Organization is going to be a goliath corporation in no time.”
Everyone then sighed in defeat. They were thankful that they did not openly cross Qin Feng at the time. They were thankful that they hesitated when they got the chance to cross him.
If not, they would be totally ruined.
Now, no one in their group dared to touch Qin Feng ever again.

There was a cascade of tremors rocking the Huaxia Alliance and even the Dark Coalition.
However, these were all not of Qin Feng’s interest at the moment.
After Liu Chong left, Qin Feng could finally relax and get back to his aircraft.
However, as soon as he stepped into the aircraft, Qin Feng instinctively felt a surge of danger in the air. Every thread of nerve in his body was perked up for another fight to the death.
Qin Feng’s consciousness immediately locked onto one person in the airship.
That person too did not bother to hide his presence. Instead, he stood up and walked straight toward Qin Feng, approaching him as if it was just business as usual.
Qin Feng’s face turned grim. “What the hell are you doing on my ship?”
Z did not mind Qin Feng’s hostility at all. Instead, he stood there and looked at Qin Feng’s bloodied body with keen interest.
Qin Feng’s mouth twitched as he raged in anger, “Do you think those ultra beasts could take me on? The blood is theirs, not mine!”
A clear disappointment crept onto Z’s face.
Qin Feng did not want to entertain him at all. However, it was true that he still needed to report the results of his mission to Z. As such, he said, “Wait here. We need to talk about that mission of yours.”
“Oh? But you haven’t brought the Devourer back though?”
“There’s a change in circumstances!” After leaving another word impatiently, Qin Feng walked into his private cabin to clean himself up.
Despite having the blood washed up and having a change of new clothes, Qin Feng still could not completely wash the stench and presence of ultra beasts’ blood off him. If there were young children standing near him right now, they would all weep out in fear and pass out. Thankfully, there were no children around at the moment.
After coming back to the airship’s lobby, Qin Feng noticed that Bai Li was not back yet. She seemed to still be busy handling the refugees.
As such, Qin Feng sat on the sofa and had a stare-down with Z. These two were only acquainted for a short time but they were definitely not on friendly terms.
A moment later, Qin Feng told Z about Chu Fan.
“This boy seemed to be someone you kidnapped. And he is very well-versed in the subject of spatial overlap. You better watch out because he will devour everything in his path and come back to seek revenge on you!”
“Chu Fan? I don’t know who that is. Still, this boy seems to be a really interesting research sample. If he dares to come out of the spatial overlap, I’ll definitely retrieve him for further research.”
Qin Feng frowned. “If this entire thing is not done under your orders, then can’t you at least order your underlings to exercise some restraint?”
Z did not seem to care at all after listening to what Qin Feng had to say though. To him, research and scientific advancement for mankind were the most important thing on this planet.
Besides, a genius like Z was used to closing doors of opportunities wherever he went—after all, he was blessed enough to be a genius. Men like him were never short of opportunities.
This was also why Z was so self-centered and severely lacked empathy.
“Well, even though the Devourer is gone, I realized that this overlapped realm is quite a fascinating research subject. Perhaps we could get something much better than the Devourer too! Okay, a change of plans! I want you to bring some living samples for me from the overlapped realm. If you can do it, then I’ll call it even. Oh, you’ve also humiliated Li Xiao’s lackey earlier, right? If you want, I could help you deal with them if they come harassing you.”
Qin Feng was stunned when he heard this. However, he quickly recovered his composure and asked, “Li Xiao? You mean that S-tier that Liu Chong swore allegiance to?”
Z nodded. “This man is a genius. A true genius in martial arts. He was the best prodigy I’ve known in his younger days. Of course, he’s quite wary of the emergence of other talented people because he does not want anyone to replace him. So, you better watch your six.”
Qin Feng’s face turned grim.
He did not know just how true Z’s words were. However, he did not know any “genius S-tier prodigy” whose name was “Li Xiao”.
Unless he did not use his real name when he was out in the world.
Unless he used some other aliases.
Li Xiao, S-tier, a genius.
Then, a name popped up in Qin Feng’s head!
