Chapter 603: Quong Po’s Astonishment
“Sorry for the wait!” Qin Feng had retained part of his consciousness to observe the outside world during his meditation as a precaution. Thus, he was aware of their conversations.
People around him quickly said, “It’s not that long. Glad to see that you are finally done.”
“Congrats on your promotion!”
“You are exceptional for your age!”
Everyone was trying to befriend Qin Feng. Qin Feng responded to each of them politely and handled it better than Bai Li’s monotone response.
Unlike the others, Quong Po remained perplexed. For a moment, he sensed that Qin Feng had entered B-tier. However, he now appeared as a C5-tier—only one sub tier higher than he was previously.
This was naturally due to Qin Feng’s dark-type ability, which could mask his true strength.
For a C-tier ability user, it took at least one year to up one sub-tier. Some even spent ten years taking the next step. This greatly depended on talent, opportunity, and resources.
Gunners on the spot did not plan to let Qin Feng go easily. After the formal greetings, they went straight to the point and inquired about his weapon.
“If you all are really interested, you may contact my organization and place your order. I am not in charge of this personally but I do have a channel to have them delivered to me immediately.”
The channel Qin Feng had mentioned was obviously the Battlegod Tomb. This showed how important it was to have a privately owned secret dimension.
Xue Xingfu could stock up the goods there directly from Fengli while Qin Feng could easily retrieve it wherever he was at.
“Mr. Qin already owns an organization?”
“You are the president of that Fengli Organization?”
“Fengli is well-reputed and has gained a lot of fame recently.”
“Well, some of the blasters we offer may not be as powerful as the one in my hand,” Qin Feng explained.
“Hahaha! Understandable!”
“Do you take custom-orders? I am willing to sign a confidentiality agreement and a peace treaty with your organization.”
“That’s right. We are also willing to pay a premium price for limited stocks. We will never turn on Fengli after getting the weapon. You have my word!”
The blaster in Qin Feng’s hand was one of the most powerful ones Fengli had produced. These were reserved only for Fengli’s members. The ones on sale were all inferior products.
This, of course, was to protect the organization. What if someone bought the powerful weapon and used it against them?
More so, Qin Feng had ordered for the weapon to be downgraded substantially. A better version would then be released sequentially, later on, a common practice used by businessmen.
After all, they were the only ones dominating the technology now.
Qin Feng had no intention to release his best weapons into the market. Regardless, the ones sold by Fengli would still be a lot better than those in their hands.
“Guys, we are still not completely out of danger. I will head out first and do the scouting. Let’s talk some other time.” He indirectly rejected their request.
That was a perfect excuse. They still had a long way to travel back to the city. This was not the time to talk about business.
They moved speedily as there were multiple injured combatants in the troop. Despite this, it still took them several hours and an insectoid swarm clearing before they reached Dusan Central City.
The aptitude users’ attention had now switched from Qin Feng onto Quong Po. The latter worked on his communicator to complete the mission and confirmed the rewards.
Everyone was satisfied with their rewards and left one after another. Only Yuan Xiaoguang, Qin Feng, and Bai Li were held back by Quong Po.
“I owe you three the biggest this time. Here’s a small gesture of gratitude from me.”
Quong Po took out two types of herbs and passed them to Qin Feng and Yuan Xiaoguang.
The one given to Yuan Xiaoguang was a special plant that could enhance wood-type runes, while the ones handed to Qin Feng and Bai Li were two fruits that helped strengthen the physique. These items were equivalent to a C-tier beast king material.
“You want to eat this?” Qin Feng offered the fruit to Bai Li. Qin Feng did not need it since he could use his absorption ability directly on the beast to boost himself. Other than the cleansing Lotus Seed, most herbs had no use to Qin Feng.
Bai Li sniffed it and shook her head in disinterest.
Qin Feng thus put the two fruits into his spatial equipment. He then spoke freely seeing that people around them had disbanded, “Master Quong, I believe your power was being suppressed by consciousness when you fought the guy from the Dark Coalition earlier. I might have a thing to help you overcome that in my possession.”
Quong Po, who was about to leave, was stunned. “What would that be?”
Qin Feng took out the Magical Tesseract and briefly explained its function. He then emphasized, “I am not going to elaborate how powerful an item would become after being processed by this tesseract. But rest assured, the item made by it would only match the consciousness of a single individual. On one hand, this is not good for business since I am unable to mass-produce weapons through it. On the other hand, it helps me greatly by prohibiting my enemy to gain control over my weapon.”
For instance, as powerful as the Verdant Emperor Saber was in Qin Feng’s hand, it was no different from a scrap iron if other people held it.
Quong Po was intrigued. “Is it as miraculous as you claim it to be?”
Quong Po’s flying knife could easily be controlled by other ability users. Even some gunners could counter him easily.
If he had this Magical Tesseract, did it mean that he could unleash his internal strength as he wished? This would overcome his only shortcoming.
“Give it a try and you will know.”
Qin Feng handed the tesseract to Quong Po and said, “So happen you have your flying knives with you now. Just place the knife and some materials in it, then it will start forging.”
“That simple?”
Qin Feng nodded. Quong Po calmed his excitement and took out a knife. He added another material and the Magical Tesseract whirred into action to modify the knife.
When the flying knife re-emerged, it had lost its previous silver radiance and turned into a charred knife.
Quong Ting could not help but comment, “What has your tesseract done to my dad’s knife? This is made from beast king material but the radiance has disappeared.”
The knife was indeed made of beast king parts. However, it was from a C-tier beast king and did not really cost that much.
Quong Po had spent his entire life working on the flying knife technique. But recently he felt ancient art like such would soon be eliminated by the fast-progressing technology. He could do nothing about it.
He no longer felt the same after today.
“Don’t simply chime in if you know nothing about it,” Quong Po rebuked Quong Ting for her lack of manners. He rarely disciplined her in public, not even after today’s incident. But the tesseract was extremely important to him. Neither he nor his daughter could afford to offend Qin Feng at this point.
