Mr President, We Meet Again! Chapter 26 - Stop Right There!

Wang Shen Ze continued walking forward with his big and steady footsteps, completely disregarding
Lin Wen Xin’s question.

He had walked so quickly that there is now a huge distance between them.

Uhm... Did he not hear her question?

Lin Wen Xin was really confused but the answer soon became clear as Wang Shen Ze closed the lift’s
door right in front of her face.

“Wait...! Hold on...”

“...”

“Oh well, I guess... maybe not then...”

She then walked dejectedly to the employee’s lift and took it down to the ground floor.

The bus services are already not operating at this hour so she has no choice but to take a taxi back
home.

Today was such a long day for her and she really could not wait to get back home and rest for the
night.

Lin Wen Xin held on to her handbag as she strolled across the lobby, towards the entrance of the
building.

“Wen Xin!”

Xiao Yu Zheng called out to her as soon as he saw her exiting from the main entrance.



“Yu Zheng??... Why are you here?”

She was surprised to see him waiting for her outside the office with his car parked just a few steps
away.

“I called you earlier but I couldn’t reach you.”

“You called me??” Lin Wen Xin reached for her phone in her bag.

She fiddled with it for a few seconds, “Oh! I think it is out of battery... I’m sorry!”

Xiao Yu Zheng smiled and shook his head lightly, “It’s okay! I initially wanted to bring you out for dinner
to celebrate your first day of work here.”

“Dinner? But it’s already 10.45pm! Don’t tell me you waited for me from 6pm and haven’t had your
dinner yet??”

Lin Wen Xin could already guess the answer from Xiao Yu Zheng’s face as he remained silent and
continued smiling gently at her.

“Yu Zheng!! Are you out of your mind?? You should have gone to grab something to eat first!” Lin Wen
Xin said to him with concern.

He laughed it off and replied, “It’s fine, if I had left for a short while, I wouldn’t know if you have already
knocked off from work or not...”

“And anyway, I have nothing much to do today so I might as well wait for you here.”

Well... If this sentence were to be heard by Xiao Yu Zheng’s secretary, he would definitely faint on the
spot!

There is a huge pile of documents at the office awaiting for his signature!



“And thankfully I’m here isn’t it? Otherwise how are you going to get back home? It’s already so late.”

Xiao Yu Zheng looked at Lin Wen Xin dotingly while trying to reach out to hold the bag for her.

“Stop right there!”

The two of them quickly turned their heads to the side - curious about the person who had just shouted
from afar.

Wang Shen Ze??

Didn’t he already leave the office? Why did he come back?

Lin Wen Xin saw Wang Shen Ze walking in large strides towards her direction.

His face was full of anger as he grabbed her left wrist and pulled her behind him in a protective manner.

“??” Lin Wen Xin had a bewildered look on her face as she struggled to free her wrist from his hand.

“Ouch!... It... it hurts...!”

Wang Shen Ze then released her and came face to face with Xiao Yu Zheng.

The two men stared at each other in an intense manner until Wang Shen Ze finally broke the silence
with his cold voice, ”Don’t you dare appear in front of her again!”

Xiao Yu Zheng scoffed as he responded, “Who are you to stop her from meeting me?”

“I am her husband!”

“If you are truly her husband, you wouldn’t have left her out here alone at night!”

“You don’t deserve to say that at all”. Xiao Yu Zheng looked at him with a look of disdain.



Wang Shen Ze immediately went forward and threw him a punch in the face.

It was so powerful that Xiao Yu Zheng lost his footing and fell to the ground.

He also could not open his eyes for that few seconds due to the extreme pain.

Before Xiao Yu Zheng could even get up, Wang Shen Ze swiftly went on top of him and continued to
throw heavy punches at his face.

Lin Wen Xin was completely dumbstruck when she witnessed this scene.

She hastily dropped her bag to the ground and ran over to stop Wang Shen Ze from hitting any further.

“Shen Ze!! Stop hitting him!... Please stop hitting him!... Please...”

Her tears streamed down uncontrollably as she tried her best to hold on to his hands but her strength
was obviously not enough to compete with his.

She really did not want anyone to get hurt because of her!

Lin Wen Xin turned around and saw that Xiao Yu Zheng could no longer hold on anymore.

She quickly pushed her body forward to block Xiao Yu Zheng from Wang Shen Ze.

-Punch-

Due to the sudden interference, Wang Shen Ze threw a punch at the back her head.

By the time he realised what was going on, it was already too late!

Lin Wen Xin blacked out immediately and unconsciously fell on top of Xiao Yu Zheng.



“...Xin...” Xiao Yu Zheng muttered. He had caught the entire scene and was struggling to call her but
could not do so as he is also badly injured.

Wang Shen Ze had never been so stunned before in his life!

He quickly lifted her up and placed her in his arms as he anxiously patted her cheeks.

“Wen Xin! Wen Xin, wake up!”

After seeing that there was no response from her, Wang Shen Ze carried her and ran towards his car
which was just behind Xiao Yu Zheng’s.

“To the hospital!” He ordered the driver as soon as he got in.

“Hurry up! Is this the fastest you can drive?!”

Wang Shen Ze’s voice sent a cold chill down the driver’s spine.

The driver kept sweating profusely as he dashed through the red traffic lights.

Thankfully it is late at night and there were very few cars on the road!

Wang Shen Ze looked at Lin Wen Xin who is lying down silently in his arms.

There was an unexplainable dull pain in his heart when he see her in this state.

It is unknown if it is due to the poor lighting but he is actually noticing some resemblance of his first love
in Lin Wen Xin.

He subconsciously ran his fingers through her hair and gently rubbed the side of her delicate face.

This moment felt so surreal to him.



Is this just a dream?
