Mr President, We Meet Again! Chapter 12 - Who Brought It?

“Is it okay for me to head up to his office? I just wanted to pass him a lunch box that I prepared.” Lin
Wen Xin pointed to her thermal bag as she looked at them with anticipation.

“Do you have an appointment with him?” The lady continued to ask as she immediately bent down a
little and scrolled through the appointment list for today.

“No, I don’t have an appointment...”

“I’m sorry, you will not be allowed to visit the president’s office if you do not have an appointment. This
is our company’s policy.” The lady replied with a regretful tone.

“I see... It’s okay then, I understand. Thank you for your help!” Lin Wen Xin reached for her phone in
the bag as she walked towards the nearest sitting area.

She placed her items on the sofa as she made a call to Wang Shen Ze.

Because he had called and texted her the other day, she had also saved his phone number. Thankfully
she had a way to contact him now, otherwise it would be a wasted trip!

However, the phone call was not picked up and the ringing tone had soon ended.

Lin Wen Xin thought that maybe Wang Shen Ze is busy now and so she decided to send him a text
message instead.

[Shen Ze, I brought lunch for you today. Are you free to come down and collect it from me?]

[Or I can also come up, but maybe you can add me into your appointment list?]

Lin Wen Xin sat on the sofa as she waited for Wang Shen Ze’s reply.



She was actually right, Wang Shen Ze is currently having a video conference with the directors and
executives from the company’s overseas branch.

He had the habit of switching his phone to silent mode whenever he attends a meeting and so he
naturally did not see Lin Wen Xin’s call and text messages.

She waited and there was still no reply after 20 minutes.

Her office is about 15 minutes away but she still had to factor in time to walk out to the bus stop and
wait for the bus.

She had to leave now if she did not want to be late!

Lin Wen Xin thought for a while and decided to walk over to the receptionists to ask if they could help
her hand the lunch over to their president.

However, just as she was about to approach them at the counter, the four receptionists also stood up at
the same time to greet a man who was walking towards the lift lobby.

Lin Wen Xin turned to look at the man’s face and realised that this was the familiar man that she had
saw at the shopping mall the other day.

She then recalled that this man is actually Wang Shen Ze’s secretary, Yi Fan.

She hurriedly walked towards Yi Fan as she witnessed the scene of employees bowing to him as he
walked past them.

Because her high heels were making a loud and distinct “clock clock clock” sound throughout the lobby,
Yi Fan couldn’t help but turn his head around.

“Madam?” Yi Fan was shocked to see Lin Wen Xin in the company.



Lin Wen Xin was startled when Yi Fan called out to her. Did he recognise her?

“Wow! He has only seen me once and could already remember me. No wonder he is Wang Shen Ze’s
righthand man!” Lin Wen Xin thought to herself as she stood in front of Yi Fan.

Little did she know, it was no doubt that Yi Fan has a good memory, but he has also seen all the
information about Lin Wen Xin countless of times. So it was natural for him to recognise her.

“Madam, I am Yi Fan, the president’s secretary. Is there anything that I can help you with?” Yi Fan
walked towards Lin Wen Xin and gave her a slight bow.

“Oh, hello Yi Fan! Nice to meet you! Uhm... I actually have something that I might need to trouble you
with!”

Lin Wen Xin smiled in embarrassment as she lifted up her thermal bag that she held with one hand.

“Do you mind if you help me pass this over to your president? I dropped him a text but he did not reply
me.”

“I understand. I will bring this up and place it on his table.” Yi Fan nodded and replied respectfully.

“Thank you so much for your help Yi Fan! I can’t chat with you anymore! I’m about to be late for work! I
got to run! Bye!” Lin Wen Xin waved both of her hands at Yi Fan as she spoke.

Yi Fan saw how Lin Wen Xin is running out of the office lobby with her high heels and sighed to himself,
“Madam is such a nice and down to earth person. It is a pity that President Wang already has someone
else in his heart.”

Yi Fan went to Wang Shen Ze’s office and placed the lunch that Lin Wen Xin had brought over, on his
table.



Since she mentioned to him earlier that she had already texted Wang Shen Ze about it, Yi Fan did not
leave an additional note on his table.

Usually Yi Fan had to follow Wang Shen Ze to all his meetings since he is the highest ranking
secretary, but he happened to be running important errands for Wang Shen Ze today.

This was why Yi Fan had the chance to meet Lin Wen Xin at the lobby.

It is close to noon and Wang Shen Ze finally returned to his office.

He then saw the thermal bag placed on his table. Since he has not checked his phone, he did not know
who gave this to him.

As he opened the thermal bag and the thermos flasks, the fragrant smell filled his entire office.

He laid out the flasks side by side on his table, and soon realised that all of it are his favourite dishes.

Wang Shen Ze is usually so busy with work that he would skip his lunch on most of the days. But when
he saw these dishes, his stomach could not help but grumble.

As he sat down and ate the dishes, he unconsciously frowned. The looks of the dishes were not only
familiar, but the taste was very familiar to him as well.

He immediately recognised that it tasted exactly the same as the food that his little girl had cooked for
him back in high school.

This was the taste that he would never forget and in fact, he has been missing it for years!

He quickly gobbled down the delicious food, as though he has not eaten for days!

Has his little girl finally come back?



He could not help but look forward to meeting her again!

After Wang Shen Ze was done with his meal, he pressed on the intercom and ordered Yi Fan to come
in.

“Knock knock...”

And before Yi Fan could even greet him, Wang Shen Ze impatiently asked, “Who brought the lunch to
my table?”

“President Wang, Madam passed it to me this morning”, Yi Fan then quickly reported the series of
event to Wang Shen Ze.

It was Lin Wen Xin?
