Chapter 1356: A Dog Swallowing A Tiger

Fearless was after all the boss of the bunch of b*stards from Quan Zhen Sect. Committing sins was a part of him…
Even though it seemed like Fearless was betraying Wang Yu by revealing that he had possession of the City Lord Seal, that wasn’t his intention from the beginning.
If it were someone else, such an act could be considered betraying a friend. However, if it was Wang Yu, it could be considered a method to deal with the enemy!
Instigating Scarless to find trouble with Wang Yu was equivalent to asking a dog to swallow a tiger.
Upon seeing how willing Fearless was in betraying his comrade, Scarless began to have her own doubts. She frowned and asked, “Are you lying to me?”
“I’m not!” Fearless said in a serious tone, “I vouch for my own character that I have never lied or cheated anyone!”
What Fearless said wasn’t wrong. In Fearless’ eyes, lying to deceive someone was simply too low for him and did not suit his style. Using the truth to deceive the opponent was considered the peak realm in the art of deceit. Thus, even though Fearless had dealt with countless opponents with his scheming, he had never once lied to them.
“How much is your character worth?!” Scarless rolled her eyes at Fearless and added, “I know full well what type of person you are, even if you are telling the truth, I wouldn’t believe it. I’ll be keeping the staff for now. When I see the City Lord Seal for myself, I will eventually return it to you.”
“Haha!”
Fearless laughed nonchalantly and said, “Upon seeing how intimate we were just a moment ago, I would like to give you a word of warning. You had better return the staff to me and obediently go back to your home ground. The City Lord Seal isn’t that easy to steal…”
“Shua!!”
Before Fearless could finish his sentence, Scarless flicked her wrist, causing the rope in her hands to swing forth with the sharpness of a blade, piercing into the wall behind Fearless, barely missing his head.
Upon seeing this, Fearless was scared silly.
At this moment, Scarless coldly glared at Fearless and said, “Me not killing you isn’t because I can’t bear to do it. Rather, it is because no one has paid any money for me to take your dog life. If you dare to mention this matter again in the future, I will slaughter you even if no one paid me to!”
After saying her piece, Scarless shouted, “Let’s go!”
All of a sudden, the air in the alley trembled as ten-over black-clothed Assassins appeared around Fearless, before following the direction which Scarless had left in.
“Tsk, who are you trying to scare!”
Fearless twitched his lips as he looked at both his hands, before revealing a sinister smile.
Even though Fearless showed disdain towards Scarless’ threat, upon seeing the fading figures of the members from Assassin Monarch, Fearless involuntarily felt a shiver down his spine. Heck, to be able to fight evenly with Quan Zhen Sect for so many years, the Assassin Monarch did indeed have some skills to back themselves up. To think that he had unknowingly been surrounded by them previously.
The members from Quan Zhen Sect were all on the same boat, and Fearless was the captain of it. After having encountered such an ordeal, Fearless promptly opened the guild chat and recounted the situation to the rest of the guild members.
“Si…” Upon hearing what Fearless said, everyone sucked in a mouth of cold air and said, “Those b*stards from Assassin Monarch must be tired of living, they dared to provoke you?”
Everyone knew that there were two figures in Quan Zhen Sect that could not be provoked. The first was Wang Yu, while the second was Fearless.
Wang Yu was the pillar supporting Quan Zhen Sect. Using the words of the players from Twilight City, fighting a 100-man strong army was chicken feet to the Great God Iron Bull of Twilight City. Fighting a thousand was a usual thing for him. Killing the general in a 10,000-man strong army was still considered an easy feat for someone like him.
What was scarier was that he had a younger brother backing him up. The lackeys under his younger brother were situated throughout the entire game. Thus, he was invincible in individual fights and in group fights. Even if the other party was a large guild with tens of thousands of players under them, they would have to pack up their bags and leave.
Fearless, on the other hand, did not have such capabilities, but he was extremely crafty. That year, he managed to destroy the largest guild in China, Termination Manor, with just a few people on his side. Following which, he led the players from Twilight City to face off against millions of players in the game, ultimately leaving them infuriated in the end. Such a battle record could be said to be record-breaking within the entire game.
What was most important was that this fellow was the worst of the worst scum.
A nobleman takes revenge within 10 years, a narrow-minded man takes revenge every single day of the year.
As strong as Wang Yu was, he had a kind and easy-going character and was popular amongst the Twilight City players. The very worst thing that could happen after provoking Wang Yu was suffering a few deaths before he would let go of the grudge.
Provoking Fearless, on the other hand, would be equivalent to inviting a never-ending calamity unto oneself…
One could easily tell this by looking at the plight of Termination Manor and Hidden Lurker…
Because of this, there was a saying in Twilight City that it was better to provoke Wang Yu than to provoke Fearless.
In his free time, this b*stard would go around finding trouble to kill time. Now that he was ambushed in an alley and had lost his weapon, wasn’t Assassin Monarch’s act equivalent to seeking death for themselves?
“Exactly…” Fearless helplessly said, “This bunch of b*stards bullied the fact that I’m a helpless Priest.”
Boson was after all Fearless’ little brother. Even though he wasn’t as crazy as Evil Rampage, upon hearing that his big brother was bullied, he immediately cried out, “Why don’t we kill all of them and retrieve your weapon back?”
“Nonsense!” Fearless said, “My weapon is currently inthat lady, Scarless’ hands. If I provoke her, she could destroy my weapon as she pleases.”
Snatching back one’s belongings and snatching away someone else’s belongings were two fundamentally different things.
Snatching someone else’s belongings, one could gain from it. Even if the item was destroyed in the process, the person still wouldn’t suffer any losses. Snatching back one’s own personal belonging was an entirely different matter and involved many more considerations.
Normally in these circumstances, if there wasn’t an absolute suppression in strength, even if one could defeat the opponent, one could still end up suffering a loss.
Without Wang Yu, Quan Zhen Sect’s overall strength was similar to Assassin Monarch. If they were to head over and kill the members from Assassin Monarch, Scarless may unexpectedly go crazy and commit some unthinkable act.
Women were like this, they would lose their rationality if they were pushed into a corner. This was something Fearless had a rich experience in.
“Then what are you going to do now? Are we just going to let it slide like this?” Ming Du and Vainglory asked in retort.
Assassin Monarch was equally famous as Quan Zhen Sect and both groups stood on the same stage. Even if both parties were courteous towards each other, there would inevitably be some sort of competitiveness between the two parties.
Who was Fearless? He was the Sect Leader of Quan Zhen Sect! The members of Quan Zhen Sect could disrespect him, but other people definitely couldn’t. Hitting him was equivalent to slapping Quan Zhen Sect in the face.
In the past, Assassin Monarch and Quan Zhen Sect never interfered in each other’s businesses. Now that Assassin Monarch had taken the initiative to find trouble with them, those ruthless individuals from Quan Zhen Sect naturally wouldn’t take this lying down.
“No worries!” Fearless coolly said, “Tomorrow, they will surely regret stealing my weapon!”
“Oh? What did you do?”
“Hehe!” Fearless cheekily smiled and said, “I revealed Old Bull’s name to them, they will launch an ambush on Old Bull tomorrow.”
“I…”
Everyone from Quan Zhen Sect was stunned speechless… In terms of ruthlessness, no one could beat Fearless… Getting the people from Assassin Monarch to ambush was Wang Yu was truly the best method to send them to their deaths…
