The beast seemed made up of stars itself. It had the form of a gigantic snake and slithered amidst the astral fog. Its red eyes and tongue pulsed with the power of midsky essence. Tianming estimated it to be as powerful as a fifth-level cosmic cartographer, so there were probably few that could take it out.
"End the... fight quickly... people are... quite near!" Yin Chen warned.
"Alright!" Tianming switched to using his Grand-Orient Sword, but didn't use his totems. Instead, he used the grand lexicon wonder! 999 Xia words appeared around the galactic starbeast and locked down its body, causing it to wince in pain. The sound of its cry formed waves of stars that spread out far and wide.
"It's too noisy and will draw in other people!" Tianming moved even faster. He didn't even have to will it; Ying Huo and Meow Meow automatically used their abilities, firing them from his hands. Their abilities utilized the combined might of all four beasts, making them stronger than if they had been individually fired.
Ying Huo and Meow Meow's Sauvastika Sword Formation assailed the galactic starbeast's flanks, leaving countless bloody holes in it. Then Tianming used all nine cosmic impulses from his sword, forming a projection of ten thousand meters in length and slashed it down! The galactic starbeast came apart link by link, crying out as it was exterminated by the abilities and cosmic impulses.
"Got the points! Eh? It's not there yet?" Tianming saw that the ranking didn't change. It appeared that the beast was still alive. Though it’d been greatly injured, its body had split into many smaller parts and wriggled with vigor. "Damn, these gigantic wildbeasts are a pain to kill!"
Tianming had already unleashed all his power. He had no choice, so he had to go in for a second attack to finish it off. But just before he did....
"Halt!" someone sternly called out, charging at Tianming with a golden fist and sending him flying. He was no doubt powerful as Tianming gleaned from that punch alone. Two figures appeared near the galactic starbeast.
"They came at just the right time. Are they planning to steal my prey?" Tianming looked at the two, a man and a woman. The man was tall and slender, but built like a beast. His skin had a dark golden sheen, as if he was made from metal, and was marked with coin-like circular patterns. His hair was a mess of dark red curls. He had long, flaming eyes that radiated his domineering aura.
With one look, Tianming knew that he was among the top monsters in the astralscape of order. He looked far more vicious than Li Fan and had a higher astron density than Tianming's right leg with Lan Huang in it. He also wore a golden myriadpath ring, a sign that he was an inner valley disciple that had grown up within Myriadpath Valley. No doubt, his status was far higher than Li Fan's. His eyes had a look of contempt for others, as if he was the ruler of the forest. Everything that entered his vision was his prey. His oppressive aura was no doubt a result of regularly putting others down.
Tianming saw his name from his myriadpath ring. He was Huang Jihuang of House Huang. The name wasn’t foreign to Tianming. He ranked seventh with around thirteen thousand points. Tianming had only been able to get two thousand points in that time, even with Yin Chen's help, so he had no idea how Huang Jihuang had achieved it. Perhaps he had been killing other participants.
"This fellow must have six cosmic charts already. Li Fan only had two when he was five hundred years old, yet this guy is only around three hundred. Can he become a foundationeer at five or six hundred years old?" That was the standard of those at Myriadpath Valley.
Tianming turned to look at the other person. She was a beautiful girl with flawless skin and figure. She had a head of straight black hair and boasted long, slender legs that perfectly complemented her refined facial features. No doubt, she was among the rare top beauties even across different mundi.
Her name was Ji Qianqian, as was apparent from her black myriadpath ring. How could an outer mundi disciple get so chummy with an inner valley disciple within a few short days? Considering how she held Huang Jihuang's powerful arm and stuck close to him, she almost felt like a weak girl that wanted to be protected. Was someone like her really a top genius from her mundus?
Tianming immediately understood what was going on. Beauty in itself was a technique to be employed. Ji Qianqian was about as strong as a third-level cosmic cartographer, stronger than Li Fan when he was her age. However, she was only average among participants of the current round. But she had three thousand points and ranked above Tianming; the answer was obvious.
Li Fan had said that Myriadpath Valley's male-to-female ratio was quite high, so genius young women were rare and precious 'resources'. Ji Qianqian naturally knew that as well, and had immediately snagged herself a capable inner valley disciple. The fact that she had been able to suppress her pride as the top genius of her mundus to put herself in that kind of position showed her ruthless intelligence. As such, most people would go to other mundi on 'beauty hunts'. Yet, most of them simply couldn't stomach low-tier beauties of those mundi and would quickly feel hollow and disgusted once they released their lust on them.
Talented and beautiful women like Ji Qianqian were far and few in between. Few could hold themselves back when they saw her acting spoiled while biting her lip with eyes filled with desire and longing.
