Chapter 2505 - The Flameyellow Bloodline
"Flameyellow! I suspect that this astralship originated from an ancient clan. There’s no information about them in the Infinitum Mundus," Lin Xiaodao said.
"My astralship is similar to it, and it also has the word ‘Flameyellow’, but it doesn’t contain caeli." Tianming replied.
Although Lin Xiaodao had seen the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, he’d failed to notice anything. The two stepped into the Gladean Ruins and continued past the legacy room. There was darkness and shadows ahead.
"I can operate this astralship, but there’s still a few secret rooms that can’t be opened. Why don’t you try?" Lin Xiaodao said.
That was the reason he returned. With that, he lit up the ruins. In terms of shape, the interior of the astralship was simple. Many infinitum ores were mottled, covered in traces of time, and certain formations had also disappeared. Along the central passage was a row of secret rooms with locked doors similar to the legacy room. Tianming glanced at the plaques above the entrances to the secret rooms and found that they were all empty except for one, which had the words “legacy room” written on it.
"Go ahead."
"Alright." Tianming walked up to the second door. There was a palm print on the gold-and-black metal door. Perhaps there was a set way to open the door.
"Put your palm there. I tried it myself, but it says that I don’t have the blood of the flameyellow divinities," said Lin Xiaodao.
"The flameyellow divinities...." It seemed no one in the Infinitum Mundus knew the name.
Taking a deep breath, Tianming did as Lin Xiaodao instructed, stretched out his black arm, and placed his palm over the palm print.
"Um!"
As soon as his hand touched the door, Tianming felt something stab his finger and absorb some of his blood.
"Blood of the flameyellow divinities, low percentage!”
Before Tianming could react, he felt a huge force push against his palm, forcing him to take several steps back. The old voice sounded from this gold and black door.
“Low percentage?" Tianming knew he wasn’t a pure flameyellow divinity. He might have inherited the bloodline from Wei Jing’s tenth reincarnation. Although the Primordial Chaos Beasts were his lifebound beasts, Tianming had still had Midas, the lifebound beast he was born with before that.
"I have none, but you have a little?" Lin Xiaodao was stunned.
"Yeah." Obviously, a certain percentage of the flameyellow divinity bloodline was required to open the door.
I wonder if Godfather can do it. Tianming thought to himself. After all, he was the most successful test subject.
"Looks like we can’t open it. What a pity! There must be treasure inside," Lin Xiaodao said.
Staring at the gold-and-black door, Tianming thought to himself, This kind of seal is essentially a formation. I wonder if my Plundering Arm would work. After some contemplation, he turned to Lin Xiaodao. "Master, do you think you can break the door if I can disable the formation?" The lock in front of him was different from the rest. It was attached to the thick gold-and-black door.
"I can't break it. I've tried. The door’s made of infinitum ore and is part of the structure of the entire astralship. You won’t be able to open the door even if you manage to break the formation," Lin Xiaodao explained.
"I see…." There was nothing much Tianming could do. He tried using his Plundering Arm. Unlocking it wasn’t difficult, but the door itself was too heavy. There was most likely an actual slot inside that couldn’t be moved. It was clear they required the bloodline of the flameyellow divinities to trigger some kind of mechanism to open the door. The same was true for the other doors.
"Forget it. You don't have enough of their blood," Lin Xiaodao said helplessly.
"Yeah." Tianming tried a few more times, but was unable to do anything for the time being.
"Master, can I keep trying?" he asked.
"Sure!" Lin Xiaodao was indeed magnanimous.
"Well, I'm leaving. I must prepare for battle! If you suddenly realize that the astralship is moving, get out immediately because that means I'm going to go to war with it." Lin Xiaodao laughed.
"Alright!" Before Lin Xiaodao left, Tianming asked, "Master, are there any seniors who are experts in cultivating the soul? I’m rather weak in that area and need someone to guide me."
"Yes! I'll get her to come to the Skyhold Palace." Lin Xiaodao replied.
"Is she powerful?" Tianming asked.
"Of course. None of the ebons on Gladeus can compare to her when it comes to soul cultivation. But she has a temper, so be respectful," said Lin Xiaodao.
"That's no problem at all. I'm good with seniors. Both men and women alike are extremely fond of me," Tianming boasted.
"You should prepare yourself. Don’t come looking for me if you get beaten up," Lin Xiaodao laughed.
Upon seeing his gloating smile, Tianming suddenly had an ominous premonition. "She should be easy to get along with, right? I remember how gentle Sister Mu Ziyan was when I was learning how to cultivate my soul on Violetglory Star...."
Lin Xiaodao left.
Tianming had yet to fully grasp the two reges mundi’s sword arts, while Lin Xiaodao was at a critical point, so he was in no hurry to learn the man’s lethal sword art. He had to take one step at a time.
Will a stronger soul help my totems undergo a simulacrum? Tianming thought to himself, staring at the Gladean Ruins once more. "Is there any way I can bring Godfather here and get him to give it a go? Or maybe Master can pilot this astralship to the sun…. An infinitum-class astralship moves at lightning speed. It took me about three years to reach Ebonia with the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, so wouldn’t half a month be enough for Master to travel from Gladeus to the sun and back? If it works, I’ll have to tell him the secret about the Flameyellow Imperial Star." Tianming hadn’t said anything, but Lin Xiaodao could probably sense that he was keeping his own secrets involving the flameyellow divinities. He trusted his disciple enough not to ask any questions.
"I finally found a place to hide and cultivate safely. I don’t think I should move around for now. Anyway, Master can't leave for the time being, so let’s take it slow."
Tianming could probably survive if he were to leave Gladeus. The problem was, there were no resources or nova source, so his progress would be hampered. Therefore, Gladeus was the only place he could establish a foothold.
"I must continue cultivating! I’ll be invincible once I reach Ling’er and Xiaoxiao in terms of cultivation!" He was a genius, but the girls made him feel helpless. It was like they were using cheat plugins!
