Chapter 2765 - Evil Ghost Tattoo
It would take a while for Tianming and the rest to reach the hideout of the folks from the Nascentis Mundus. Since both sides had already agreed to carry out the transaction, they both headed toward the rendezvous point. Five fifth-level cosmic cartographers had already departed from their hideout.
"We should hurry up as well, if we don’t want to miss the window of opportunity," Tianming urged. The basis of the plan was built upon Zi Zhen's recovery. If she couldn't get better, he wouldn't do something so risky. After all, he still had the luxury of taking his time. "Obtaining permanent residency was the best thing I had done so far."
Zi Zhen was still flabbergasted at the whole affair and felt like she was dreaming. In a hoarse voice, she asked, "Didn't you say that you could only resolve two curses in one go?"
"I was lying. Do you have a complaint?" Tianming said.
"No.... It's no surprise that you held something back as a precaution when you didn't know me so well."
"Do well, young one. I'll be counting on you after this." Tianming began absorbing the curse vortices on her as best he could. He had never tried absorbing five of them in one go with the Order Relic before.
"How amazing.... You alone have more than ten times the xeno fatigue than most other people, yet they could do nothing but lie down and await death. You were still able to go around and fight." Even now, Zi Zhen's xeno fatigue was still five times as serious as those of Qi Xuan and Aunt Hua, and she still felt energized and revitalized in this state.
"That's why I really want to know how it feels like to live a life completely free of xeno fatigue." That was something she still wasn't able to fathom in the slightest.
"You'll know soon." To Tianming, it was nothing but business as usual, but it was a life-changing moment for Zi Zhen. He gave the task his full focus. Eventually, the power of xeno fatigue slowly receded from her body as the vortices disappeared. Even though her body wasn't that large, he could still feel the vigor and power contained in her immeasurably astron-dense body. It felt like an ancient and powerful beast was being awakened. The sheer pulse of her vigor was almost on the level of the Archaionfiend in its current state, with a star count of more than nine hundred thousand.
Within Zi Zhen's purple eyes were two deep seas, which seemed to be raging. As the astrons of her body shook free of the corrupting influence of xeno fatigue, they rapidly reformed into renewed configurations of vitality.
She opened her mouth and her astral lungs expanded, rapidly drawing in xeno source from the surroundings to be converted into cosmo force! But even that small gulp alone emptied out the xeno source in a ten-thousand-meter radius. Cosmoforce surged in her astrons, causing them to shine with brilliant starlight.
A brand-new universe was coming into being.
"This is the last one. It should be fine, right?" Tianming was blushing as the final vortex, and also the largest one, was located in the middle of her chest like the Primordial Gate on Lingfeng's chest. It was huge, but also sensitive.
"You're a doctor and I'm merely your patient. It’s fine," Zi Zhen said, lowering her head. She had never expected Tianming to go so far to heal her, but since the opportunity had presented itself, she took it, despite feeling conflicted.
"That's right. I'm saving a life, so let's not mess around!" Tianming cleared his throat and took a deep breath.
In actuality, he didn't feel anything funny from the process, as absorbing all the dark and negative energies from the vortex was rather unpleasant on its own. The xeno fatigue put up a final struggle, almost like it was a parasitical lifeform refusing to leave its lifetime host. It was clinging so hard that it ripped away parts of her body, revealing the astrons under the surface that were regaining their luster. "Come the fuck over, xeno fatigue!"
Tianming's Order Relic was the natural enemy of xeno fatigue. He sucked the force away with all he had, causing the monster to struggle and shriek. It almost seemed to rebound and take over Zi Zhen's body all at once, forming nine new nascent vortices, but its struggle didn't succeed.
Tianming watched with a resolute will and a cold gaze, controlling the spherical honeycomb briquette of his Order Relic Universal Body. Zi Zhen's xeno fatigue eventually caved to the immense pressure from him and ended up completely sucked away.
"Xeno fatigue is like a toxic parasite. We can't leave even a single bit." He dusted her off a few times before letting go.
"Ahem...." Tianming cleared his throat and put his hands behind his back. "That should be it. If it rebounds, come see me a few more times. How are you feeling?"
As her hair was disheveled, he couldn't quite see how she was doing. However, he could feel that she had completely changed. The awakened beast from before was nothing but a hallucination. He could now feel true, pulsing power coming from her body and couldn't help but take a few steps back.
A loud boom came from her body as her purple hair fluttered and she rose into the sky all of a sudden. Tianming saw her eyes turn completely purple, even the whites. There was also a marking on her forehead that hadn’t been there before that looked like a ghost with messy hair. A single glance at it gave him immense pressure and fear. Her nails seemed to alternate between normal nails and ferocious talons.
With the xeno fatigue completely gone, she had grown even more fearsome, especially after she’d absorbed some xeno source.
It feels almost like the change we experience after overcoming Lesser Lifesbane. Right as Tianming thought that, Zi Zhen stretched her hand out toward him. In a demanding, hoarse, and low voice, she said, "Soulstones."
"Alright." He tossed three hundred thousand or so soulstones her way, and she expanded to swallow them. The sudden release of xeno source formed a bright storm of starlight in their surroundings.
"Is this dangerous?" Ying Huo asked.
"It's fine. I trust her," Tianming said. Zi Zhen had obviously significantly recovered, given the rate that she was absorbing energy.
