Chapter 150: Shackles around my heart
Jing Lihua didn't know when she had fallen asleep last night cuddled with Li Zhiqiang. But in the morning, she found herself in her bedroom, tucked in carefully on her bed. With a smile, she rose. She quickly bathed and dressed into a decent getup.
Later, when she entered the kitchen, she was surprised to see breakfast prepared and arranged neatly. "That Li Zhiqiang...." She also noticed a small note by a chair. Walking forward, she pulled it up.
"I had to attend some matters at the office. Don't leave for work without a proper breakfast. Love, Your Li Zhiqiang." Putting down the note, Jing Lihua shook her head with a smile. "You are such a busy man. Each second of yours worth millions yet you still found time to cook for me?"
If this Li Zhiqiang was trying to penetrate into her heart then it sure was working.
"The great 'Devi' actually has such a cute and considerate side of him..."
After putting the cat food in a bowl, Jing Lihua settled down on the dining chair.
Jing Lihua ate breakfast slowly, savoring the rich taste. 'I have to agree, this Li Zhiqiang, with his thoughtfulness and cooking skills, he would make such a good housewife.' Jing Lihua thought in her mind, ending up laughing loudly imagining him in that cute pink apron.
The white kitten was long done with its breakfast. It was rolling over and playing with a cotton ball. Hearing Jing Lihua loud laugh, it paused and looked up from its toy with strange expressions.
Jing Lihua eagerly picked up the kitten into her lap. "Little fussy, little fussy, let's gossip! Tell me what do you think? That Li Zhiqiang behaves like a housewife, doesn't he?"
The white Cat: "..."
"You think so too, right?"
The white Cat: "..."
"Silence means Yes!"
The white Cat: "..."
Grabbing the cotton ball in its mouth, the cat jumped out of Jing Lihua's lap and walked out of the kitchen.
Jing Lihua sighed. Getting up, she walked out of her apartment and took the elevator down. Down at the garage, Wang Yi was waiting.
After getting into the car, she closed her eyes for a moment. Li Zhiqiang's words from last night repeated in her mind.
'He was right. No matter what, I am still the same Jing Lihua.' Drawing confidence from his words, she reopened her eyes. A new light brightened her eyes. "You know where to go."
"Yes, President."
Today, she was going to visit her grandfather farmhouse. This time, no matter what happens, she would get the answers. Even if she had to pull the ears of that old man.

>Getting out of the car while holding a boutique of flowers, Jing Lihua breathed in the fresh air of the farmhouse. A strong feeling of nostalgia hit her.
'This is my first visit to this farmhouse after my rebirth. In my last life, after my marriage, I was too obsessed with Su Liwei. He was the only thing in my mind and heart and I never took care to pay a proper visit to my grandfather. While all the time grandfather's health had been declining... Being considerate of me that I had just gotten married, he never told me about his declining health.' Jing Lihua looked up at the vast blue skies with a sad smile '
'That was the place... where I had retrieved the dead body of my grandfather. Even in his last days, I was not with him.' Recalling the painful memories, Jing Lihua's felt bitterness. A heavy weight settled upon her heart. 'My ignorance and indifference towards Tang enterprise had constantly upset grandfather and strained his health. He worried himself into the state of sickness. That was one of the reasons behind his early demise. The regret of that incident was like a shackle around my heart in my remaining years.'
Jing Lihua too a deep breath. However, a moment later, her eyes shone with a new light. Within her heart, she solidified a resolve. 'This time I won't let anything harm my grandfather. The regrets of the past... I can treat them as if they never happened. I have been given a second chance. I still have everything in my hands. Until now I have been successful and now with Li Zhiqiang beside me, I don't believe anyone would be able to stop me.'
"Xiao Lizi is that really you?" The house butler rushed out with surprise.
Jing Lihua: "..."
How could she forget? Everyone in the farmhouse was used to addressing her like this, all thanks to her grandfather. It was too late to change now. With a sigh, Jing Lihua resigned to her fate.
"Yes, Uncle Shu. I am here to visit grandfather and check up on him." Jing Lihua said with a gentle smile. During her childhood, whenever her grandfather brought her to this farmhouse, the people here treated well. Despite her bratty nature, she was after all the cherished daughter of the Elder Tang. She was a very good impression of the people working in this place.
"Do you want me to inform, Elder Tang?"
"No need. I want to give him a surprise."
Jing Lihua took her time as she strolled through the farmhouse, relishing the verdant nature and breathing in the fresh air of the countryside. It took her almost twenty minutes to reach the backyard. Away at the Folly Gazebo in the center of the backyard, she could pinpoint a person figure quietly reading a newspaper.
She smiled faintly.
"In my last life, after grandfather died, in order to save the company, I had to sell this farmhouse in the end. I never imagined I would ever be ab
le to make a visit to this place again." Jing Lihua mused while throwing brief glances at clusters of exotic flowers and rare plants. She even recognized a plant she had personally planted some years back with her grandfather in the backyard. Sweet memories accompanied a strong feeling of nostalgia.
With a sigh, she continued on her way to the Gazebo.
The gentleness in her eyes gradually vanished and a determined look flashed.
'Grandfather, this time you must provide me answers.'
