365 The Test.
A few weeks later.
In the Nightside Mansion.
Inside Ichiro's room.
A youth with black hair was sitting on a comfy-looking office chair while a wooden desk was in front of him.
In his hand a silver-colored card was seen. He kept looking at it; no one knew what he was thinking.
A shimmer of light appeared from the window, making the previous dimly lit room look much brighter.
But, Ichiro didn't react as the silver card reflected the light.
[The Test]
Looking at the text on the card, there was some kind of mysterious power in them.
The more he looked at the text, the more he wanted to join the Test.
''Sigh…'' He leaned on the soft cushioned backrest and looked outside the window, where a crowd of reporters was hanging out.
Most of the reporters looked bored, but they believed that they would get a promotion if they managed to get comments from Ichiro or from Nightside women.
But, so far, they haven't seen a glimpse of them in over one month.
They thought that they couldn't stay inside forever.
''Sigh… Damn.'' Ichiro put the card down on the desk and took his laptop.
His gaze went back and forth between the card and the laptop.
*Tap*
He started typing rapidly and soon pressed enter.
Soon, a map became visible on the screen, which had a red dot.
Ichiro looked at the red dot and raised his eyebrow in surprise.
He wrote the coordinates into the search bar and wanted to know where the test was held, but the location surprised him.
It didn't only surprise him; it made him want to go to the Test!
''I have heard about this place before…'' He used the mouse and double-clicked on the red dot, which showed an image.
It was an image of a temple.
''Temple of Grandmaster's…'' Ichiro remembered Abyss talking about it when he talked about Grandmasters.
Temple of Grandmasters wasn't only the birthplace of many Grandmasters, but also there have been said to be over ten Grandmasters living there as monks!
The temple was located in the ocean between Arya and Marq Continent.
On an Island called Grandmaster Island.
''It makes sense now…'' He murmured to himself and remembered the person who gave him the card.
Ichiro used his mouse and looked at the map.
He has to go to the other country, where he can take a boat that leads to Grandmaster Island.
Looking at the date on the card and the current date, there was a week before it began.
*Bam*
Ichiro closed the laptop with a bam and grabbed his bag from the wardrobe.
He made an impulsive decision and decided to go there after all!
He had a feeling that if he missed it, he would regret it for a long time.
*Creak*
A door to his door opened, and Azura appeared with a curious look.
''What'cha doing.'' She hopped next to Ichiro and saw him stuffing his clothes inside the bag.
Ichiro grabbed the card from the bed and gave it to Azura, who took it and looked at it.
''The Test… So you are going?'' Azura asked, and Ichiro nodded with confirmation.
''Yay, a trip!'' She shouted with a thrilled look and started hopping towards the door, ''I have gotten tired being here— I will go pack!''
''Wait, you are coming?'' Ichiro stopped packing and looked at Azura with confusion.
Azura stopped hopping and turned around to look Ichiro in the eye, ''Did you already forget?''
''Forget what?'' Ichiro tilted his head with transparent question marks appearing above his head.
''Stuuupid, you promised I could come with you!'' Azura showed her tongue and left the room, and her shout rang from the hallway, ''I am coming!''
Ichiro shrugged and didn't really mind.
The Test wasn't an Underworld event; if it would, he would never let her come, even if he had to chain her up to stop her.
But, since it was an event for the younger generation, it was fine.
Soon, his pack was full, and he used the zipper to close the bag.
''Whew…'' Ichiro went back to the laptop and opened it swiftly.
He went to order the plane tickets and remembered which county he had to fly to.
It was to the country called Sealight.
It wasn't one of the top four countries, but it was very famous for its beautiful sights and delicious food.
Ichiro ordered two tickets; he used the golden card he received from the High School of Fighting when he first arrived.
But, after the plane tickets, he will be completely broke.
He doesn't get any more support from the school and has to find another way to survive from now on.
Unfortunately, he didn't even take the golden card with him to Damio; it could have solved many of his problems.
He looked at the golden card in front of him and threw it away.
It was now completely void of any money, and it was completely useless from now on.
A message popped up on the screen that he had successfully ordered the tickets.
*Bam*
Ichiro closed the laptop and stuffed it inside the bag.
He left the room and went straight to the downstairs, where Alena was currently using a brush to clean the dirty floors.
After there weren't any more servants, all three of them had to clean the mansion, which wasn't an easy task.
''Good morning,'' Alena said gently and then saw Ichiro carrying a bag
''Are you going somewhere?'' She asked curiously.
''Yes, I am sorry for leaving so suddenly,'' Ichiro replied, being alone with her and Azura, he has gotten very close to her.
They were basically son and mother at this point.
''Oh…'' She wryly smiled and looked at upstairs, ''Azura must be throwing a tantrum?''
''Well… Actually.'' He rubbed his forehead, and both of them heard hurried footsteps coming from upstairs.
Azura ran down the stairs with a pink bag.
Once she arrived next to Ichiro, she hugged his arm and smiled at her mother, ''We are going on honeymoon!''
''Eh?'' Alena widened her eyes in shock and saw Ichiro shaking his head.
''O-Oh, good for you.'' She received Ichiro's signal and only smiled gently at her daughter.
Azura had an even wider smile.
''We will be back before New Year, hopefully.'' Ichiro glanced outside the window and said, ''I will take care of the reporters for you— they have been here long enough.''
''What are you planning to do?'' Alena and Azura both looked curious.
''I am gonna ask them to leave nicely.,'' Ichiro replied, and a tinge of mischievousness was seen in his eyes.
