Chapter 59
A Change Of Manpower....
Inside the Dragon Court Clubhouse, An Xiaowan hid inside the washroom and sent a message to Susan with her phone.
“Infiltrated successfully!”
An Xiaowan did an easy-but-fancy hairstyle today, which was identical to that of An Xue, to implement her plan today.
An Xiaowan and An Xue, both had similar height and body shape. So with just a little bit of dressing up and hairstyling, her back view would be more or less similar to An Xue, and she would be able to mimic An Xue.
30 minutes later. Susan brought a dress for An Xiaowan. It was identical to the dress that An Xue was wearing today.
By now, An Xiaowan was already pretending to be a waitress. When she walked past the suite, she took a few photos with her phone in the bag.
“The journalists are already on standby at the entrance. When An Xue leaves, they would definitely be able to take firsthand photos of her.”
An Xiaowan nodded her head and changed into the dress. She and Susan then entered the suite opposite An Xue’s suite.
The suites in the Dragon Court Clubhouse were designed in pairs, so the suites opposite each other had the same size and style.
Inside the suite, the actor had completed his preparations.
He was dressed in an outfit similar to that of the investor, President Wang. The actor was a chubby man and suffered from Mediterranean hair loss. Also, his back view was very similar to that of President Wang.
An Xiaowan sat beside him and whispered, “Place your arm on my shoulder.”
The actor was very professional in his behavior. He did not look anywhere he was not supposed to, and immediately placed his arm around her on her shoulder.
But Susan kept shaking her head in disagreement after taking a photo. “No. It is not ambiguous enough. She can argue and get away from the situation by saying she has a good relationship with President Wang, and hence it’s normal for them to place hands on each other’s shoulders.”
An Xiaowan’s brows plunged into a slight frown. “Then…”
On the other hand, Assistant Luo was dumbfounded as he watched this scene in CCTV footage.
He immediately rushed into Huo Shen’s office.
“Young Master Huo! Ms. An seems to be creating fake news!”
Assistant Luo could guess what An Xiaowan’s plans were after seeing all this.
Creating a fake photo is a difficult and risky activity. If this photo was exposed, and the truth was later on revealed, An Xue could sue An Xiaowan till the latter’s reputation ruined completely.
But Huo Shen didn’t even raise his head to look at Assistant Luo, as he said coldly, “Let her be.”
Assistant Luo wanted to say something but was at a loss of words.
After a few seconds, he still could not help but say, “Ms. An found an actor to act with her, and she is acting as An Xue herself.”
Huo Shen’s grip tightened on his pen. His signature was halfway done as a drop of ink from the pen started smudging on the paper.
The temperature in the room suddenly dropped.
The face of the man sitting before the French window darkened.
“Change to someone else.” His thin lips moved, and his voice was icy cold. “Find someone even more similar to An Xue than An Xiaowan.”
Assistant Luo nodded in response and retreated.
On An Xiaowan’s side, the photo shoot was just starting when it was interrupted by a waiter knocking on the door.
“Good evening, this is the free course given by the clubhouse today.”
“This…”
Susan was very surprised. She never knew that the Dragon Court Clubhouse had any customs of providing free meals. Not to mention, they were not important guests of the clubhouse.
But the attendants kept coming inside.
There was only one gift, but it was a grand dish. After the waiter placed it on the table, one could see the pieces of solid fuels burning underneath, cooking the ingredients above. The dish also required a helper to flip the ingredients from time to time.
After a short while, Susan started getting impatient.
How would they be able to complete the photo shoot at this rate!
“Excuse me, can you all go out of the suite?”
The Dragon Court Clubhouse was known for valuing its customers’ privacy, and hence it was reasonable that these waiters would not insist on staying inside the suite.
The waiter still had the intention to delay time, but then they heard Assistant Luo’s voice in their earpiece. “It’s fine now.”
With Assistant Luo’s orders, the waiters apologized and bowed before moving out of the suite.
An Xiaowan felt something was weird, but she avoided the strange feeling in her heart, and hurriedly sat in the corner of the room.
“Knock knock.”
However, a knocking sound came from the door again.
An Xiaowan was feeling pissed off. While Susan was dumbstruck when she opened the door and saw the person outside.
“…A-An Xue? Wait… No, you aren’t…” Susan stuttered as she turned back to look at An Xiaowan.
