I Am Young Master Huo’s Personal Assistant....
After remaining silent for a few seconds, Huo Shen withdrew his gaze and said nothing.
He picked up his chopsticks and started eating his meal. Yet, his chopsticks only picked out the food prepared by the cooks.
“Mr. Huo…” An Xiaowan was not about to take it lying down and reminded him. “You do not intend to try these other dishes?”
Huo Shen did not have a good appetite today. He already felt enough just after a few mouthfuls.
Furthermore, those three dishes do not seem to meet his dietary standards. It was good enough he allowed them to be on the table, now he was expected to eat them?
Although he did not say a word, the contempt in Huo Shen’s eyes made An Xiaowan furious.
The dishes she prepared may not look fancy in their presentation, but she had tasted them, and they tasted pretty good.
After all, she was not any great chef, of course, that she could not achieve perfect, gourmet standards in every aspect. Even if he did not want to eat them, he could have tasted them, even if only to respect for her efforts.
“Humph!” An Xiaowan was fuming mad and pulled the three dishes to herself. She picked up her chopsticks and started eating them in big mouthfuls.

“Let him come in.”
An Xiaowan was caught by surprise. She looked at Huo Shen, then at herself.
Considering the secretive nature of their relationship, she got up in a hurry.
Moments later, Lu Yange was seen swaggering into the dining hall.
“Brother Huo! I have some relatives over to my house at the moment. What a bother! So I’m here to visit you, hope you don’t mind…” Lu Yange was speaking as his eyes turned to the feast on the table. Delighted, he said, “Hehehe, looks like I came at the right time!”
Having said that, he noticed a spare set of utensils on the table. He took the chopsticks and reached over to pick food from the nearest dish.
In his excitement, he did not bother looking at the presentation of the food, nor was he aware that it was one of the dishes prepared by An Xiaowan.
All he knew was, Huo Shen’s cooks were the best ones from all over the world, top-notch in their field. It was impossible to have anything that tasted bad at his table.

Suddenly there was a loud clatter.
“Brother Huo…” Lu Yange looked at the chopsticks that were knocked out of his hands before it touched any food. Stunned, he looked up at Huo Shen and met his calm face, as usual.
Huo Shen’s deep eyes were still and emotionless. It was as if that sudden burst of disturbance didn’t come from him.
Huo Shen calmly lowered his chopsticks, and quietly said, “Those are not your utensils.”
“Then, whose are they?” Lu Yange’s eyes widened in astonishment.
Huo Shen had been a bachelor for eternity, and there was not a day that he didn’t eat alone.
Lu Yange thought to himself,
“Could it be that Brother Huo had been alone for way too long, and so he placed a second set of utensils on the table during his meals, just to feel the presence of a companion?”
At this point, An Xiaowan, who had been silently standing in a corner, looked at Huo Shen.
The man’s flawless face still had its usual expression of indifference and chill. However, his deep eyes met with An Xiaowan’s.
An Xiaowan raised her eyebrows and stepped out.
“They are mine.” An Xiaowan ran her fingers through her wavy locks, her eyes sparkling with charm. “Let me introduce myself.”
She put on a radiant smile and said, “I’m Mr. Huo’s new personal assistant.”

Huo Shen’s eyes darkened a little, while the corner of Lu Yange’s lips twitched.
