Chapter 299: Ending 26: Who’s That Student?
Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation
Judging from how Qi Chengzhi and the student looked, there was an electrifying suggestiveness lingering in the air despite their largely unintimate actions. Dissatisfaction was so obvious on Qi Chengzhi’s face that only a blind person would fail to notice that something was going on between him and the student.
‘This…
‘Jixia’s oldest students are senior high schoolers at most. Is that girl even of legal age yet?’
Director Yan was wondering why, after all those years, Qi Chengzhi decided to come back to Jixia to visit all of a sudden. He even requested for the headmaster’s office. Could he have made prior arrangements with the girl so he could secretly meet with her there?
Did he really have an affair even though he just got married?
…
…
Qi Chengzhi parked the car at the garage and urged Song Yu into the house. His raging fire was uncontainable, and he became more and more incapable of controlling himself the more he looked at Song Yu. He wanted to take her in the elevator if he could.
It was her uniform in particular that lent her the look of a seventeen-year-old. This aroused Qi Chengzhi tremendously and it encouraged him to fulfill the fantasy he had all those years ago.
Dragging Song Yu behind him, Qi Chengzhi opened the door and entered the house. Coincidentally, Aunt Yang walked out of her room and was heading to the kitchen to find something to eat. She saw Song Yu wearing a uniform and stared blankly in shock. ‘What is this married couple up to again?’
Song Yu looked down in embarrassment. Her face was so red and she felt that she could never face Aunt Yang again.
Qi Chengzhi could care less about all that. He brought Song Yu straight into the room and pressed her on the bed. He did not even have the patience to take off her clothes properly—he simply undid a couple of buttons and tore the dress away in his haste.
In the end, they were both drenched in sweat and hugging each other despite being half-clothed. Barely a few buttons were undone on Song Yu’s top. Qi Chengzhi’s shirt buttons had popped off because of Song Yu’s constant pulling. Just looking at it was enough to make her feel shy. She hardly expected herself to be so thirsty for him just now.
It seemed as though Qi Chengzhi purposely chose not to take off her clothes. He hugged her and looked extremely satisfied to see her half-clothed attire. Pleased, he gave her an eight-word verdict, “Your uniform is seductive. It made me sin.”
Song Yu was speechless.
Just like that, Qi Chengzhi’s hand had already entered into her clothes. Although she was made fun of by him through all those actions, she was somewhat at a loss for words since he looked so lecherous and unable to contain himself that day.
Song Yu silently stared at the hand inside her clothes and remarked helplessly. “Isn’t it a bit too perverted for you to have such an interest in me when I was seventeen? I wasn’t even mature yet at the time”
It was Qi Chengzhi’s turn to be speechless.
…
…
The next morning, Aunt Yang laid out the morning newspaper on the dining table since Qi Chengzhi had the habit of reading the news while having breakfast.
Song Yu was still feeling a bit awkward when she took her seat at the table. She felt embarrassed to look Aunt Yang in the eye.
Qi Chengzhi opened the newspaper and flipped through. A particular piece of news caught his eye all of a sudden, and his expression was rather odd. Song Yu was unable to see it however, since his face was shielded by the papers.
At that precise moment, Qi Chengzhi’s phone rang. He glanced at it and noted that the call came from the manor. He picked it up but before he could even say anything, a barrage of questions came from the old lady. “What’s happening here? Who’s that student?”
Song Yu then noticed his odd expression and was getting suspicious. Her gaze subsequently landed on a familiar-looking photograph in the paper.
She took the paper and realized that the picture was of her and Qi Chengzhi. It was taken at Jixia High School the day before when Qi Chengzhi dragged her up the car. Dressed in a school uniform, she lowered her head, so the photograph did not catch her face clearly.
The report alleged that Qi Chengzhi cast away his wife to meet in secret with a student from Jixia High School. An extramarital affair was supposedly in the making. The student’s identity remained unknown as of yet, and it was not known whether the student was of legal age or not.
“…” Song Yu was rendered speechless for a moment. She blushed, and her head felt numb as she looked at Qi Chengzhi.
How were they supposed to explain everything?
Were they supposed to tell the reporters that the student was actually her and they were simply roleplaying? That would be utterly shameful.
“Grandma, that’s Song Yu in the photo,” Qi Chengzhi answered calmly, without feeling the slightest ounce of guilt.
“What do you mean Song Yu? Don’t you lie to me,” said the old lady unhappily. Though she trusted Qi Chengzhi’s character, she was still afraid of the slightest possibility that Qi Chengzhi had been swayed by a young vixen. How then, if he committed a wrong at the spur of a moment? “I’m telling you—Song Yu suffered a lot when she gave birth to your child and raised him. You can’t be doing things that amount to betraying her!”
Qi Chengzhi’s thick eyebrows cocked up and his lips curled in a half-smile. He did not get angry at how his grandmother distrusted him. On the contrary, he was glad that the old lady placed Song Yu first in times like that. Qi Chengzhi thus did not care much for those other minor things.
“Song Yu’s right beside me. She’s reading the same news.” Qi Chengzhi looked at the completely humiliated Song Yu and said, half-smilingly, “Talk to her then if you don’t believe me.”
Without further ado, Qi Chengzhi handed the phone over to her.
Song Yu steeled herself and took the phone from him. Her head remained numb as she said, “Grandma. I’m reading the news.”
“Qi Chengzhi said that woman is you, my dear Song Yu. Don’t protect him. Tell the truth if it isn’t you. I’ll deal with him on your behalf—you don’t need to be nervous. Always make sure that you don’t let yourself be treated unfairly.” The old lady’s voice was crisp and clear through the phone. Hearing it was enough to make Song Yu feel a warmth in her heart.
“Grandma. It’s really me,” Song Yu said while shooting Qi Chengzhi a glance. She was thoroughly embarrassed to be in that position, yet he was smiling so smugly there.
“It’s really you?” The old lady was skeptical.
“Mm.” Song Yu glared at Qi Chengzhi, albeit not too intensely. “When I got married to him, he admitted that he liked me since I was still in Jixia High School.”
Qi Chengzhi’s expression changed dramatically. He did not expect Song Yu to blurt out the truth. The old lady was probably beaming happily at the other end of the phone.
Song Yu’s eyes had a hint of mischievousness when she looked at him, almost as if she was taking revenge for his past misbehavior.
“Really?” Surprisingly, the old lady raised her voice in both shock and excitement. Her voice was so loud that it could be heard by those around.
“Mm. I was actually kinda scared of him last him. I didn’t know he liked me. He said he always spied on me from afar,” replied Song Yu, seemingly full of zeal. She was no longer blushing and a smile even formed on her lips. Qi Chengzhi’s face became even sourer.
“Oh my, our eldest grandson having a crush?” The old lady was truly astonished. She could not wrap her head around how Qi Chengzhi could have such a restrained and innocent moment. It was not his style at all.
Song Yu smiled at Qi Chengzhi and continued the conversation with the old lady. She began to blush once more as she spoke softly, “I changed my school because of the bankruptcy after that, remember? Chengzhi always regretted it, and I regretted it too. I regret not being able to understand his intentions sooner and be with him earlier. So, since it’s the holidays and there aren’t any students in Jixia, I dug up my old uniform and went there with Chengzhi to experience how it would have been like if we got together last time. Somehow the reporters managed to take photos without a clear view of my face.”
“I get it, I get it.” Song Yu did not know what the old lady actually understood, but from the latter’s tone, it seemed to be a suggestive one. “Alright then. Since this is all a misunderstanding, I won’t be worried anymore.”
A brief exchange later, the old lady knew that it was a misunderstanding. Her grandson and granddaughter-in-law were still on very good terms with each other and she hung up happily.
Song Yu smiled and handed the phone back to Qi Chengzhi, saying, “Grandma told me to apologize on her behalf. She apologized for the misunderstanding with you. Deep down, she really does trust you.”
Qi Chengzhi looked askance at her with his black pupils. His mood was indiscernible at that time. All of a sudden, he leaned over and trapped her on the chair, saying, “Since you’ve told Grandma all about my crush, why don’t you just tell her all those things we did yesterday?”
“…” Song Yu blushed and realized that the man was probably embarrassed that someone else knew about his crush. Nevertheless, she wrapped her arms wantonly over his neck and said, “How embarrassing would that be. That’s such a private matter. How can I talk about it so casually? I had no choice but to sacrifice your image a little.”
Qi Chengzhi stared at her without knowing whether to laugh or cry. Though he was quiet, he was really happy to discover that she was confident that he would always have her back.
After a while, Xia Wenna’s called as well. She asked about none other than the news report. All Song Yu could do was tell the same thing once again, but she did not go into too much detail about Qi Chengzhi’s crush for fear that he would feel more embarrassed.
…
…
That evening, Qi Chengzhi and Song Yu brought Little Youjin to a swimming center for babies. The moment his Range Rover drove off, countless cars followed suit.
He glanced at them, but once he knew those were reporters, he paid no mind to them.
The swimming center for babies was situated inside a mall, so when they parked the car in the mall’s parking lot, a throng of reporters swarmed them immediately after they got down from the car.
“Mr. Qi, you were photographed meeting a young student. How long have you been together?”
“Were the two of you together when Mrs. Qi was pregnant?”
“The person you photographed in the school uniform was my wife,” Qi Chengzhi said bluntly with Youjin in his arms.
Song Yu reached for the cap on Little Youjin and fixed it more properly on his head. She was afraid that the camera flashes would bother the infant.
“HUH?” The reporters were all stunned.
Qi Chengzhi’s unfeeling eyes swept across everyone, and he twitched his stern lips rather sarcastically. “Can’t a husband and wife do some roleplaying to spice up the bedroom?”
Some of the reporters had a lightbulb moment and remembered that Song Yu was studying at Jixia when Qi Chengzhi was the headmaster. Were the two of them roleplaying a forbidden relationship between teacher and student?
“…” Song Yu poked his lower back surreptitiously, urging him to walk a bit faster. She scarcely expected him to just say the truth.
Qi Chengzhi smiled plainly. With one hand holding one Little Youjin and the other holding Song Yu, he brought them toward the swimming center. The reporters were so speechless that they did not follow him suit.
Song Yu’s reaction did not seem to suggest that she was at odds with Qi Chengzhi. The news was nothing but an unexpected misunderstanding.
…
…
Ever since Mu Sisi got married to Gao Jingqiu, the Gao family controlled her very strictly, especially in light of the leaked nude photos and sex videos. The Gao family was nothing like the Mu family, and at the end of the day, Mu Sisi was still Mu Huili and Fang Anci’s daughter whom they spoiled rotten. No matter how strictly Mu Sisi’s parents treated her, they had no way to truly restrict her actions.
The Gao family, however, had information that was detrimental to Mu Sisi in addition to her shares. Gao Jingqiu treated her without courtesy at all and went physical as soon as his temper flared up. Due to that, Mu Sisi did not dare to act without thinking.
Her stubbornness stemmed from her family’s doting on her, but she was basically the kind who bullied the weak and feared the strong. She quickly became listless without someone to rely upon, especially since the other party had nothing to fear and was completely unhesitant to teach her a lesson. She no longer had the mood to bother Qi Chengzhi and Song Yu as a result of all that.
Qi Chengzhi and Song Yu were enjoying their happy life together, while the Qi family was all happy and peaceful in the home. It was in their moment of joy that disaster struck on Mu Sisi’s side.
After the Gao family seized the opportunity to blackmail Mu Sisi into giving four of MU’s shares to him, Mu Sisi did not hold Gao Jingqiu’s parents in high regard. She had no interaction with them at all and treated them as enemies. The new year was coming but it was impossible that she would follow Gao Jingqiu to his home.
On the eve of the new year, Mu Sisi and Gao Jingqiu celebrated with their respective families.
The reporters, though, seemed to have nothing better to do. They managed to find out about it, and Fang Anci had to show up to explain to them that Mu Sisi did come back home, but the reporters neglected to capture photographs of Gao Jingqiu coming over to pick Mu Sisi before heading to the Gao family home.
That was the reason Fang Anci told Mu Sisi to head back to the Gao family home on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year. It was not to mend relationships with the Gao family, but rather to dodge any questions from those pesky reporters. Otherwise, the ugly truth would surface, and MU”s image would be even more tarnished.
Mu Sisi was left with no choice but to visit the Gao family. Little did she expect that upon entering the door, Yu Keyao was seen sitting on the sofa.
She then heard Gao Jingqiu’s mother, Li Lianna, say, “Keyao, drink this birds’ nest soup to replenish your body.”
Li Lianna was so friendly toward Yu Keyao. It was a completely stark contrast to how she treated Mu Sisi.
Mu Sisi glared intensely at Yu Keyao. She made no effort to hide her shock when she asked angrily, “Why are you here?”
Yu Keyao paused monetarily while holding the birds’ nest soup. She turned toward Gao Shenghe and Li Lianna as if at a complete loss as to what she should do.
“I invited Keyao here.” Li Lianna had a frosty attitude when talking to Mu Sisi. “She’s pregnant, so she’ll be staying here from now on.”
“She’s staying here because she’s pregnant?” Mu Sisi clenched her jaw so hard that her face was distorted. “Yu Keyao, what’s the meaning of this?”
Yu Keyao placed the bowl of soup down and maintained a very gentle gaze. Mu Sisi was clearly shaken after seeing Yu Keyao’s expression.
Ye Keyao rubbed her stomach and remarked softly, “I’m pregnant with Jingqiu’s child. It’s been six weeks now. I’ll be staying here in confinement from now on.”
“You…” Mu Sisi simply stared in shock with her mouth wide open, unable to say a single sentence. She wondered when Yu Keyao got involved with Gao Jingqiu and conceived his child.
“Yu Keyao, you think by getting pregnant you can change your life for the better? I’m telling you, if I don’t bring up the subject of divorce, Gao Jingqiu cannot bring it up too. Even if you give birth to that child, you’ll always be a mistress for the rest of your life. You’re only fit to be raised outside of the home. You have no status or share, and when the time comes for Gao Jingqiu to throw you away, you won’t get a single benefit from it. Your child will always be a bastard,” Mu Sisi gnashed her teeth and said.
Unexpectedly, Yu Keyao was all smiles as she said, “I never had any intention of getting married to him in the first place. I know that you’re married to him, and if you knew of my existence, you wouldn’t let me be happy even if it means you’ll be unhappy too. You’re exactly the kind of person who harms others even if it doesn’t benefit yourself. I don’t need the status. Jingqiu and his parents have already agreed that my child will bear the Gao surname. Everything that has to do with registering the child will be settled by the Gao family. The child may be born out of wedlock but will be treated in the same way as a child born in wedlock. He will grow to be the Gao family’s noble son. My child will have the Gao family’s right of inheritance. I don’t have the status, but Jingqiu will treat me as a wife. Other than that status, there’s nothing else I won’t get.”
“She’s right.” Gao Jingqiu appeared on the stairs. He had earlier taken his afternoon nap in his bedroom and had just gotten up. The first thing he heard when he got down was Mu Sisi’s shrieking.
Calm and unruffled, he went down and looked at Mu Sisi in disdain. “Are you still oblivious to your own status? You’re the Gao family’s daughter-in-law only by name. You don’t have anything else. Did you really think I’d give you a chance to carry my child and use him to take back your shares in MU?”
The look in Mu Sisi’s eyes changed drastically. She wanted to divorce and be free of Gao Jingqiu, but the discussion as regards to that was exactly that—the results of Mu Huili and Mu Huaisheng’s discussion was that Mu Sisi should conceive Gao Jingqiu’s child. That way, a divorce would mean that half of Gao Jingqiu’s assets would be inherited by the child.
It did not occur to her that the Gao family had thought of that beforehand.
Gao Jingqiu smirked in contempt and snickered. “Mu Sisi, don’t even think about having my child for as long as you’re alive. I won’t even touch you. Who knows, you might sleep around and have someone else’s child. What if you try to frame me by saying that child is mine?”
That was precisely why he impregnated Yu Keyao. It was not as if Gao Jingqiu really liked her anyway.
He knew that Ye Keyao once pursued Qi Chengzhi and felt disgusted at that. It appalled him that all the women beside him had some sort of relationship with Qi Chengzhi.
With regard to children, however, Gao Jingqiu would never choose an ordinary girl. Otherwise, he would have done so with Huang Ziyue. Where could he find someone who did not want status but had a good family background?
After much searching, the only one who fit those criteria was Yu Keyao. Her family might have been on the edge of bankruptcy with their company bordering on a collapse, but it only affected Yi Zidong’s company. The assets inherited by Yu Zixiu from the Yu family was still present, and even though his company was not that great, it was not too bad either.
No matter what, Yu Keyao’s background was sufficiently good and the Yu family also paraded her for being compatible with the Gao family. Since Yu Keyao’s home was also in need of help, Yu Keyao had no other avenue. Thus, they all arrived at that predicament.
Yu Keyao grinned at Mu Sisi and said softly, “You of all people should understand me better. You were willing to be Qi Chengzhi’s lover and didn’t ask for any status. You were even willing to have his child without asking for anything in return. He didn’t even need to take responsibility. All you wanted was for his child to be with your forever. That’s enough for you, isn’t it? I think I’m luckier than you. Jingqiu is willing to take responsibility for my child. What I’m doing now is the exact same thing that you were doing all along. You understand me, surely.”
Mu Sisi did not for once think Yu Keyao would use her past statements as a rebuttal.
Mu Sisi clenched her jaw and glared angrily at Yu Keyao. She knew Yu Keyao was getting back at her, but she never foresaw that Yu Keyao would go to such lengths just to do all that!
“Gao Jingqiu, don’t you know that Yu Keyao has been with my elder brother before?” Mu Sisi smiled coldly as if she could dangle the shameful title of a cuckold above his head. “You’re sure that this is yours?”
“Yo, could it be your brother’s?” Gao Jingqiu sneered. “If it was, then I’d be happy to send the child to your home once it pops out. I don’t think Mu Huaisheng is that big of an idiot to forget protection. Your words make me feel worried about your family. Only someone as stupid as you can cause trouble for your own family no matter the time and place.”
