Chapter 867: Finding The Fated One
??
The next day.
Sheng Yang finished her class and carried her school bag. Her demeanor looked lazy. She was about to go to Book City. A friend of Lemon’s friend said they saw the book she wanted over there. She was walking out the door when she saw an old man walking forward with a cane.
She didn’t pay much attention to him. As she walked past him, the old man suddenly stopped her. “Young lady.”
Sheng Yang turned back, her gaze still cold. “Yes?”
This was her attitude to outsiders. She was too cold. Sometimes, she was so cold that she was unreasonable.
The old man was stunned. Then, he smiled and waved the map in his hand. “I want to go to this place, but I just came to Imperial Capital. I don’t know anyone here. Can you help me?”
Sheng Yang raised an eyebrow. “Hold on.”
“Oh, sure, I’ll wait for you,” the old man said quickly.
Sheng Yang turned back and returned a moment later. This time, she brought over the security guard from Imperial Capital University. “Ask him anything. He’ll take you over.”
“I…” The old man looked at her and opened his mouth. It was obvious that he had something to say. The security guard was very alert and could tell that something was wrong. He hurriedly said, “Sheng Yang, you can leave. I’ll take care of this old man.”
Sheng Yang didn’t notice anything, and she wasn’t afraid of any danger. She nodded and left.

When they arrived at Book City, the place was packed. The friend of Lemon’s friend had revealed that the book was at an inconspicuous little stall. Sheng Yang quickly diverted her attention and walked along the alley beside Book City. Unlike Book City, which was bustling, the roadside stalls were simple and casual. The books looked half-worn. Who would have expected good things to be here?
Sheng Yang looked around quickly. She was always quick at reading. However, she didn’t find the bookstall she wanted on the first try.
The second time, she focused even more on searching. Suddenly, she realized that there was another deep alley at this corner. At the end of the deep alley, a person was half-squatting on the ground, sorting out books. As he organized them, he looked as though he was dealing with something extremely precious. He seemed to cherish books very much.
It was really amazing to be able to set up a stall in such a place. It was so mysterious as if the person were a secret agent who was afraid that their books would be sold.
Sheng Yang didn’t think much of it and walked straight over.
Her purpose was clear. She quickly turned to the medical book she wanted and picked it up steadily.
“Huh?” The stall owner suddenly got anxious and stopped her.
“What? You’re not selling?” Sheng Yang suddenly thought of this possibility. She looked up at him indifferently. She wasn’t someone who would force a deal.
“That’s not the case.” The person, a middle-aged man, scratched his head at the situation. “Someone else asked me to sell this to them. He said that he wanted to find someone fated to buy this book. If it wasn’t fated, it would be equivalent to wasting the book.”
“Oh?” Sheng Yang found the words to be refreshing. “Then how can it be considered fate?”
At this moment, a strong voice suddenly sounded. “I want to buy this book. I’ll pay 200,000!”
The other party directly offered a high price, looking rich and imposing.
Because of his words, the vendors in the dark alley were attracted.
“This person looks so familiar.”
“You don’t even know him? He’s the director and founder of Mingde Hospital. He has 50 medical professionals in the world working for him. And he’s the only person in the world who’s won a Silkenia Prize.”
