Chapter 54: Domineering Mother
Not to mention that opportunities were springing up endlessly like bamboo shoots after rain. She was simply happy beyond description!
“Oh, yes, I remember that. It’s not a big deal,” Sheng Yang said. She hadn’t taken it seriously. At the time, she just wanted to give her little henchman a hand.
Kang Weizhen looked at her and smiled, and her heart welled up with warmth.
It turned out that it wasn’t that Yangyang didn’t want to tell her; Yangyang just felt that there was nothing to tell.
Upstairs, Sheng Yuxi came out of his room to greet his sister. He happened to witness all this while standing at the railing then he ran back to his room again.
“Second Elder Brother, Sister is good at running too. Today, her physical education teacher called, saying that he wanted to help her join the national team, but she refused. How is our sister so cool?”
Sheng Hanjing, who was in Vienna, looked at his cell phone screen with a gentle smile, and a beautiful blond woman next to him looked at him with scorching eyes. She wasn’t normally interested in Asian men, but after meeting him, she realized that love knew no borders. “Sorry,” he said elegantly with flawless English to flatly refuse the girl then he refocused his attention on the phone.
Before he returned to China, he already knew all about his younger sister. And now he couldn’t wait to end his trip here and fly back to meet his legendary younger sister.

The next day, downstairs at the Sheng Corporation building.
Today, Jiang Xinyi was wearing a professional suit and much more aggressive makeup than usual, seeming like a different person.
Standing downstairs, she took a deep breath. It wasn’t the first time she came here and she had once been here as Sheng Tai’s wife. She still remembered that time she brought meticulously prepared business proposals with her, only to be ridiculed and return home in shame.
She wasn’t without talent. She and Kang Weizhen used to go to the same school and even studied the same major. And her exam scores weren’t that different from Kang Weizhen’s, but she had no status. Those people valued the status of Kang Weizhen’s family. Besides, Kang Weizhen’s influence was deeply ingrained in the Sheng Family. They were just afraid of Kang Weizhen, not daring to tell the truth.
But today, things were different. She had the confidence that the board of directors would take her seriously when it came to real interests.
“Mrs. Sheng.” Upon seeing her, the receptionist at the front desk on the first floor didn’t stop her but smiled meaningfully.
“Hello.” Jiang Xinyi wasn’t annoyed; she was even still smiling. She always knew how to stomach humiliation and knew what she wanted. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to climb from her original grassroots home to her current position step by step.
The receptionist took her to the meeting room where the board members were, and on the way, they encountered…
Kang Weizhen was wearing a shoulder-padded red V-neck Prada suit and exquisite makeup. Her curly hair was tied neatly and her lipstick was glamorous. There was something elite about her.
Her assistant beside her stood respectfully while holding some documents.
At home, Kang Weizhen was a good-tempered, loving mother to whom her daughter was more important than anything, and she was willing to do anything for her daughter.
But as long as she was at the Sheng Corporation, which was her battlefield, she seemed to be a different person. She had sharp eyes and acted resolutely, shrewd and capable.
