Chapter 352: Subjugating Barbarians - Part 7!
Inside the Caragan forest, only the Tribe representing the Ulesis had survived from the dawn of the Barbarian reign over the continent until now. All the other large and small tribes have gone through many changes, destruction, splitting, or merging with one another.
Especially many small unknown tribes in the unknown part of the Caragan forest may not have fully functioned for a year before they get destroyed by a powerful Demon Beast, slavers, or any other Barbarian tribe.
"Kid, heed my advice and don't make any foolish decision. King Danny Glover and his army are not to be trifled with. The weak human chicken that your Chief had allied with compares nothing in front of him. I came here to tell you just that and nothing more when I heard that the Barbarian tribe was partaking in human conflict. I don't know what ghost came over your Chief; he would even go against the rules set by the Ulesis herself." Thor said the last part with a meaningful gaze which Karakh understood quite naturally.
Thor's last words had a greater effect on the lesser ranking Barbarians than Karakh himself. No Barbarian in their right mind would want to go against the Great Ulesis who they worship.
"Ah, see, they have come with the evidence. See and decide for yourself as to what you all would do next. Again, take my advice; do not make any foolish mistake that might negatively affect your Tribe," Thor said and brought everyone's attention towards the north of the camp where the city was located.
The gates of the city were open, and human soldiers numbering five hundred rushed out on horses. But that was not all, they heard another sound of rumbling, and another larger group of human soldiers came around and outside of the city walls.
Norakh guessed their number to be around a thousand at least.
The first human group may not have caused much disturbance among the Barbarians as much as the second group had caused.
Barbarians can handle humans numbering more than two to three times than their own. And now their number had grown to five times, plus if Thor was counted together, it would be truly a one-sided massacre.
Thor smiled at seeing the second group. They were his men. He bought the newest and last batch of puppets from the Heavenly book before coming to this camp.
Alex found that there was another hidden restriction to the number of puppets that he could buy with his current cultivation level. For now, with his Late Dantian Formation stage cultivation, he can only summon fifteen thousand puppets altogether, including three puppets with cultivation at Mid-stage, six at the Early stage of the Dantian formation Realm.
Currently, six thousand puppets are active in the east, helping his family take control of the archipelago and govern them.
Two thousand puppets had scattered to the different parts of the Belmont subcontinent, gathering information about each region, such as the Armen Kingdom and kingdoms beyond to the west and south of the Caragan Forest. Rest are either helping him manage and defend these newly conquered land on the Belmont subcontinent.
They were riding straight in their direction and soon came to a halt at some thirty-meter distance from the camp. The barbarians had already formed a defensive line against possible attack. Few now worried about the monster standing behind them.
Karakh recognized the human leading the first group. He was the chief officer in command of the city defense. Karakh also recognized the severed head that the human was carrying in his hand; it was of Viscount Bardrick.
Karakh looked at the severed head once, then another at Thor, who swaggered to the front before turning to face Norakh.
"Do you think Basho Romethra would call back his men and stop his plans? Karakh asked, but he got no reply from his teacher.
Norakh may not have said any word, but his expression said it all. Their Chief won't back out no matter what happens; Norakh knew it more than anyone.
There was only one way out now, go back and regroup with Chief and tribe warriors.
Karakh let out a sigh of disappointment. But seeing that everyone was looking at him, he immediately shook his head and forced himself to get his bearing back together.
Alex was very impressed with Karakh. The young Barbarian leader didn't show any emotion of despair, anger and always kept his back straight even when he faced him. The effect was good; all the Barbarians were looking at Karakh now; they were waiting for his decision.
In fact, Alex felt that even when outnumbered, these 8 feet tall warriors would fight the humans head-on if Karakh gave the orders.
But the words that came out of Karakh's mouth not only shocked the Barbarians but Thor was stumped speechless for a second.
"Lord Thor, I have a request to make of you. Please, follow us back to my Tribe. For the survival of the whole Tribe and to keep the peace between the humans and us, I implore you to become our Basho. Help us remove Romethra Anthral from his position, or that insane man will bring forth a great disaster." Karakh requested, bending his waist slightly.
"Do what?" X2
Thor and Norakh said together, one looking a little confused, the other totally shocked.
"Dethrone Romethra Anthral and become the Tribe's new Chief. We would forever be grateful to you." Karakh summarised his words as if it was simple to understand.
Well, it was simple to understand, both Norakh and Thor couldn't understand why Karakh would ask to do such a thing from an unknown guy like Thor.
Even Alex faltered for while to understand Karakh's brain circuit.
The barbarians standing around them were also at a loss of words. They have already been unclear if they were right to go against Ulesis beforehand but now that their own leader asked an enemy who thrashed Bergorakh a few minutes ago to become their new Basho.
It felt outrageous to them.
But rebelling against their Tribe's Chief seemed a much safer and better choice than rebelling against the force that represented the whole Barbarian Race.
"Karakh, the hell you are talking about." Norakh couldn't help but shout. His chest heaved up and down in anger, tension, fear.
