“You really made him sick like that?” Su Xiaoxue’s beautiful eyes blinked.
“Yes, I did,” Wang Yao said.
“Haha, he deserved it,” Su Xiaoxue said as she clapped her hands.
“You think so?” Wang Yao asked with surprise.
“You did the right thing,” she replied.
Su Xiaoxue’s judgement on certain things had become very simple. As long as Wang Yao thought it was right, she would think it was right. She basically agreed with him on everything. Sometimes love would make someone stupid.
“So is it OK if I don’t see him?” Wang Yao asked.
Actually, if Su Xiaoxue really wanted him to treat Hou Shida, he would reduce his pain slightly.
“Yes, don’t see him then,” she said.
“Let’s talk about something else,” Wang Yao said.
He mentioned the two deadly places on Xishan Hill and Miao Sanding’s plan to set up a battle array there.
“Wow, that’s amazing!” Su Xiaoxue exclaimed.
“Indeed. Let me show you,” Wang Yao said. He looked up at the sky. It was still raining at. “Let’s wait for a while. The rain will stop soon.”
The rain stopped after an hour or so.
“OK, let’s go and take a look,” Wang Yao said.
As they were about to leave the clinic, a couple ran in with a child about 5 years old.
“Dr. Wang, can you please take a look at my son?” the woman anxiously asked.
The child’s face was extremely pale. He was short of breath. Wang Yao decided to stay in the clinic to see the child.
As he was taking a look at the child, he thought, Strange!
He gently opened the child’s mouth. A gust of unpleasant smell came out. There was food left in the child’s mouth. The child must have just vomited. More importantly, Wang Yao found tiny parasites in the child’s mouth.
He checked the child’s pulse. He was pretty sure that there were poisonous insects inside the child’s body, and the insects and invaded multiple organs.
“Has he had any diarrhea?” Wang Yao asked.
“Yes. He had diarrhea and vomited,” said the woman who was sweating heavily on her forehead.
“How long has he been sick?” Wang Yao asked.
“Three days,” the child’s mother said.
“Have you taken him to the hospital?” Wang Yao asked.
“Yes, the doctors in the hospital said he has parasites in his body,” the woman said. “They prescribed some medication to get rid of the parasites. However, after my son took the medication, he started to vomit and have bad diarrhea. He couldn’t bear it.”
“I see.” Wang Yao nodded.
Apparently, the doctors had found parasites inside the child’s body, but they didn’t know the amount of parasites. The medication was not right. It probably stimulated the parasites to cause severe symptoms. A child’s organs were normally very vulnerable. Now, his organs were all in disorder.
“Look, I’ll prescribe you two formulas,” Wang Yao said. “Make sure he takes them. He’ll get better in three day. Bring him back then.”
“OK,” the woman said.
One of the formulas was deworming soup, which contained dark plum, tangerine, rhubarb, pinellia, baikal skullcap root, and Sanxian. The other formula was the regathering soup containing angelica, ganoderma, and solomon’s sea. The two formulas cost several hundreds of dollars.
“Make decoctions out of the formula,” Wang Yao said .”Get him to drink the decoctions immediately. He will continue to vomit and experience diarrhea. Don’t panic, he’ll be fine. And, don’t give him anything heavy to eat in the next few days. Don’t get him to eat meat or anything spicy or too cold.”
“Thank you, doctor.” The couple left with the child.
“Dr. Wang, what happened to that child?” Su Xiaoxue asked.
“He has too many poisonous insects inside his body,” Wang Yao replied.
“Parasites?” Su Xiaoxue asked.
“Yes. I presume it was caused by poor hygiene,” Wang Yao said.
A lot of diseases were caused by the food people ate. Wang Yao was pretty sure the child ate something he was not supposed to eat or didn’t wash his hands properly.
“Will the insects threaten his life?” Su Xiaoxue asked.
“It’s hard to say,” Wang Yao said. “The insects have invaded his organs. It will be really tricky if the insects invade his brain.”
People needed to take parasites seriously. They were the source of many diseases.
“Let’s go to Xishan Hill,” Wang Yao Hill.
The two of them left the clinic. The path on the hill was muddy due to the rain. Su Xiaoxue’s shoes were soiled.
Wang Yao immediately released some Qi to wrap himself and Su Xiaoxue. The Qi blocked the water and soil away from their feet.
“Here we are. This is one of the deadly places,” Wang Yao said.
The place looked normal. However, if one took a closer look, one would find there was no weed there at all. There was only dirt.
“This place is absolutely barren,” Su Xiaoxue said.
“You are right. Not a blade of grass grows here,” Wang Yao said.
“Those insects must be very poisonous,” Su Xiaoxue said.
“Do you want to see them?” Wang Yao suddenly asked.
“Yes.” Su Xiaoxue nodded.
“Let me show you.” Wang Yao took out a clear glass bottle.
There were several black insects inside it. They looked fierce.
“What are these?” Su Xiaoxue was actually a bit scared of the insects. After all, she was a young girl. Most young girls disliked crawlies. But, she still stepped forward to take a good look. “Scary.”
The insects moved as if they understood what Su Xiaoxue said. She startled and stepped back.
“Behave!” Wang Yao rocked the bottle gently. The insects all stopped moving and laid on their stomach at the bottom of the bottle.
“They can understand what you say?” Su Xiaoxue asked.
“No, but I’ve been training them,” Wang Yao said.
He didn’t kill the insects because he wanted to study them. These insects were very tough. They wouldn’t die as long as they had food.
“The other place was very similar to this one. Shall we go and take a look?” Wang Yao pointed at the top of the hill.
There was a wind gap on top of the hill, which fit well into Miao Sanding’s planned battle array.
“OK,” Su Xiaoxue said.
They followed the path, which was full of weeds, to get to the wind gap close to the top of the hill. A gust of wind suddenly came. Su Xiaoxue almost lost her balance.
“It’s so windy here,” she said.
“This is a wind gap. It’s windy here all the time,” Wang Yao replied.
“Do you guys plan to lead the wind from here to the deadly places?” Su Xiaoxue looked down at the deadly place she and Wang Yao had just been.
Whoo! A big gust of wind passed by. Su Xiaoxue lost her balance again. As she almost fell forward, Wang Yao’s strong arms held from behind.
“Yes, we want to lead the wind there,” Wang Yao said.
He gently held Su Xiaoxue in his arms. Su Xiaoxue’s body was soft, and she smelled nice. It was such a nice feeling for him. The two of them stood in the wind for a while.
“Shall I carry you down?” Wang Yao let Su Xiaoxue go.
Her face turned red. She looked even prettier. “OK.”
“Come on!” Wang Yao squatted down. Su Xiaoxue hopped on his back and put her arms around his neck.
“Let’s go!” He hopped toward the top of the hill.
The path on the hill was unsteady, but nothing could stop Wang Yao. He ran and hopped toward the top of the hill freely. He looked like he was flying.
With one hop, Wang Yao was nearly 65 feet away. He landed on the ground before hopping again.
“Amazing!” Su Xiaoxue shouted as she opened her arms. She was very happy.
Wang Yao carried her on his back from Xishan to Nanshan. He then seemingly flew to Dongshan Hill and back to Nanshan. Finally, he jumped off the top of Nanshan Hill.
Woof! Woof! Woof! San Xian was barking in the herbal field.
Daxia came along after he spotted Wang Yao and Su Xiaoxue.
The wind was howling next to them. A minute later, they landed at the foot of Nanshan Hill.
“Was it fun?” Wang Yao gently let go of Su Xiaoxue. Her face was still red due to excitement.
“Yeah, it was wonderful!” Su Xiaoxue couldn’t describe her feelings. It was more than wonderful. It was sweet and thrilling.
“Let’s go back to the clinic,” Wang Yao said.
Meanwhile, in Lianshan town center, the couple who had just been to see Wang Yao helped their son take the herbal decoction.
“How do you feel? My baby?” the child’s mother asked.
“I feel pain in my tummy,” the child said as he covered his belly. His belly was rumbling. He soon passed some gas, which smelled awful. “I want to go to the toilet.”
He ran to the toilet. A moment later, he called his parents.
“Are you alright?” His parents ran into the toilet to check their son. The child pointed at the toilet in shock. Inside the toilet were the worms he had passed. The worms were still moving. They looked disgusting.
“You’ll be fine. It’s OK. These are the worms in your body. Now, they are out. You won’t have tummy pain anymore.” His mother flushed the toilet to get rid of the worms.
“I see.” The children was apparently still in shock. He just nodded. “I want to go again.”
“That’s fine. Off you go. Let the worms out. Don’t be afraid. Your dad and I are just outside,” his mother gently said as she touched her son’s head.
She and her husband waited outside the toilet while the child passed more worms. Afterward, he said he was hungry. They gave him another decoction to take. It was the regathering soup to improve his fundamental health. The child felt better after taking the soup.
“Would you like to take a rest?” asked his mother.
The child was a good boy. He went back to his room and laid on his bed. A moment later, he fell asleep.
“The doctor is fantastic,” the child’s mother said.
“Of course. Those elders in the village all went to see him for treatment. Their headaches all got cured. He seems to be able to treat any condition,” her husband said.
