glared at him and warned him, “Stay away from me. I don’t need you to watch over me!”

He needed her fingerprint to enter her house. She was afraid Vincent would grab her hand, force her to

open the door, and take away everything her mother had left her!

“Don’t be like that. Who’s going to look after you if not me? Why don’t you open the door and invite me

Without a second thought, she pressed the button to call the elevator. When the doors opened, she

stepped into it.

Vincent said nothing.
