Chapter 1297Chapter 1297 Let Me Keep The Child
Ashlyn glanced at Sienna again. “Where are you staying?”
Sienna blushed, feeling a bit embarrassed. “I-I don't have the strength.”
“Help her up,” commanded Ashlyn. Immediately, two men assisted Sienna to her feet. “Move forward,
turn left, and after a short distance, you'll reach there,” she instructed.
About five minutes later, they arrived at Sienna's little cabin.
The cabin was quite modest. Despite its small size, it was complete.
Ashlyn took in the sight of the small cabin. After the men helped Sienna onto the bed, they retreated to
the doorway, casually closing the door behind them.

After a while, Sienna finally said, “Ms. Berry, can you help me get a fresh set of clothes from the
wardrobe in the corner that I can change into?”
“Sure.” Ashlyn stood up, fetched a set of clean clothes, and handed them to her.
“Do you need my help changing it?”
“It's fine, I can manage on my own.” Sienna had regained a bit of her strength by then. The icy river
water had chilled her to the bone, leaving her shivering all over.
However, there was no way she could let Ashlyn help her change her clothes. The thought of the
grudges between her and Ashlyn left her with nothing but embarrassment and melancholy.Since she was heavily pregnant, it took her a good five or six minutes to change her clothes.
“I know you must be mocking me inside, thinking I deserve this and that I shouldn't have hurt others
with Dixon,” Sienna shot Ashley a miserable smile, her eyes filled with despair. “Even though Dixon
took all the blame and spared me... so what? The foundation has harmed many and swindled tons of
money. Even though I haven't directly killed anyone, I have indirectly deceived people of their money.
The downfall of Imperial Hotel was Dixon's doing. If you want to seek revenge against me, feel free to
do it. I don't care anymore.”
Her voice dropped to a murmur. “I'm due in two weeks. Please, can you let me keep the child?”
Tears streamed down her cheeks, despair welling from her heart, spreading throughout her entire body.
The minute she saw Ashlyn, she knew she had nowhere else to go.
Ashlyn squinted at the woman whose face was etched with pain. In just half a year, this woman
seemed to have transformed from the noble and elegant third lady of the Haddock family to a pitiful
woman. If I hadn't bumped into her here today, I would have thought that she was living a good life, or
at least that the quality of her life hadn't changed much from before.
“Sienna, I don't want to know why you're hiding in such a remote place. I can consider sparing your
child's life, but... I have conditions. I can offer you a way out, but it depends on whether you agree or
not.”
“What are the conditions?” A glimmer of hope suddenly sparked in Sienna's eyes. “What do you want
me to do?”
“I don't want to feed a snake in my bosom. Dixon has already received the death sentence. However, I
know there is more incriminating evidence of his crimes than what I have collected. Where is the rest ofit?” Ashlyn gently stroked her fingers as she spoke leisurely.
Sienna was taken aback. Her face was already white as a sheet from having fallen into the water, but
after hearing Ashlyn's words, her complexion turned even more pale, as if all the blood had drained
from her face.
Seeing her hesitation and indecision, Ashlyn chuckled softly. “What's wrong? Reluctant to take it out?
Since you're the person Dixon cares about the most, I'm absolutely sure he has entrusted you with
everything.”
“You and your son's lives are now in my hands. The decision to hand them over is entirely up to you.
Dixon has already been sentenced to death, and there's no hope of him getting out. If you give me the
remaining evidence, I can spare your life. Plus, I can provide a decent environment for your son to
grow up in.”
Ashlyn's tone was deadpan, but to Sienna, it was filled with irresistible allure.
“I've also heard about some things concerning the Haddock family. Do you think you can run from them
forever? Do you really believe the Haddock family will let you leave unscathed? Or are you planning to
spend your entire life in hiding? Do you want your child to live in fear and intimidation every single
day?”
