Chapter 1213Chapter 1213 Watch A Show
“All right, got it!” a woman with heavy makeup purred in a coquettish voice.
After leaving a few more instructions, the madam tactfully excused herself.
The few women immediately surrounded Yosef, placing him squarely in the middle. Yosef was promptly
in seventh heaven.
Sure enough, the allure of women out there is irresistible. Their soft, gentle voices and knack for
pleasing are truly captivating!
He was feeling smug when the door to the private room was suddenly kicked open with a bang.
Several burly men barged in and pinned him to the ground.
The women screamed in fright and all scrambled to hide.
Yosef was also taken aback. He shouted angrily, “What are the lot of you doing? Do you know who I
am? I'm the President's son-in-law and heir of the Guzman family!”
“So what? We're going to seize you!” A man in black kicked him down and ruthlessly stomped on his
chest. “You're nothing but trash!”
“Ouch! It hurts!” Yosef cried out in pain. However, the few men instantly restrained him and dragged him out.
The few women hurriedly went after them, only to see the madam likewise wearing a baffled
expression. “What's going on here, gentlemen?”
“It's none of your business! You'd better shut up! Don't ask any questions!” The man's face was cold
and ruthless. He quickly left, dragging Yosef, who was pale as a ghost, along.
“Okay, sure. I'll come up right away.”
After hanging up the phone with Herald, Sloan had a bewildered look on his face.
Just a moment ago, he yelled at me furiously. So why is he suddenly ordering me to go up now? How
strange and peculiar. Even though I'm a minister, he's more powerful than me. Oh well, there's nothing
I can do about it.
He had no choice but to relent, getting back into the elevator.
As soon as Sloan entered the room, he found both Lucas and Spencer were also present.
That aside, there were several other leaders from the Department of Justice.
The Department of Justice usually doesn't have much interaction with me. Why are they here now?
A sudden unease began to well within him, but all he could do was step in. With a forced smile
plastered on his face, he greeted everyone present. “You're all here?” He started with Herald. “Mr. Cook.”
An icy hint of anger brimmed in Herald's eyes.
He completely ignored the greeting, acting indifferent beyond words.
That upset Sloan even further. He proceeded to greet Lucas. “Mr. Nolan.”
In turn, Lucas sneered at him coldly.
Sloan's heart pounded wildly in his chest.
He then looked at the rest of the people there, at a loss as to what exactly was going on.

“Mr. Cook invited us over,” a deputy minister from the Department of Justice said with a slight smile.
“He asked us to come and watch a show. So...”
At that, he turned to Herald, “What exactly is the show, Mr. Cook?”
“The show is going to start very soon,” Herald replied, suppressing the fury within him.
The atmosphere in the entire office was exceedingly strange and eerie.
A look of disdain was evident on Spencer's face. The sight of that had waves of anxiety flooding Sloan. He felt as though he was the clown in the show.
What on earth is going on? N-No, that can't be it!
The atmosphere suddenly became somewhat tense.
Sloan felt as though he had been stripped bare as he stood in the middle of the office. No one offered
him a seat or told him why he was asked to return.
He felt his face flame hotly, the sensation far too mortifying.
Taking a deep breath, he turned to look at Herald, his voice trembling as he asked, “Mr. Cook, may I
ask why you've called me back?”
“Nothing much. I merely want to ask whether you know the reason for that Trojan horse virus, Panda
Adieu, during today's public hearing.” Herald's voice was mild.
However, Lucas casually raised an eyebrow and swept a sharp gaze over him.
That look had Sloan shudder with fear. With just a single look, the man overpowered everyone present
with his aura.
Sloan's face had turned pale. In that peculiar atmosphere, he could barely give voice to his words. “H-
How could I possibly know? I'm not a computer science expert. I-I don't understand such a thing.”
