Chapter 1198Chapter 1198 Issue
The woman's raven-black hair cascaded down to her waist, and she was dressed in nothing but a thin
nightgown, exposing her fair, slender arms.
Her flawless legs were tucked beneath a thin blanket, her long, luscious eyelashes quivering slightly.
“The conditions here are relatively underdeveloped. The medical facilities are lacking, and even basic
supplies such as medicines are in short supply. That's why they need to import some medicines from
our country, and Centennial Healthcare happens to be the supplier. This time, when Jared came over,
he brought with him a hundred thousand boxes of various types of medicines.”
Lucas furrowed his brows slightly as he looked at her. A hundred thousand boxes is no small amount,
but Centennial Healthcare supplies them like it's not a big deal.
He contemplated the new energy being developed by Section Six and how he had always believed that
this new energy held substantial potential, capable of changing certain circumstances.
However, he couldn't help feeling a sense of inferiority when comparing new energy to what Ashlyn
was doing. In the face of these hundred thousand boxes of medicine, it seemed like new energy was
hardly worth mentioning.
“But it's not impossible if he wants these medicines. He must agree to one condition of mine,” Ashlyn
said, her lips curling slightly, a glint of icy resolve shining in her eyes.
“What do you intend to do for Yuri?” Lucas inquired slowly with his baritone voice.
“How do you know I'm doing it for Yuri?” Ashlyn arched an eyebrow. Lucas chuckled softly, his handsome face too dazzling to behold. “Because you are my wife...”
Ashlyn couldn't resist the urge to laugh. “Is everything progressing smoothly with the development of
new energy?”
Her rosy lips drew close to the handsome man's face. “New energy represents technological progress,
and medicine signifies advancements in healthcare standards, so... what you and I are involved in is
beneficial for the entire world. Tell me, Mr. Nolan, how is it that I never realized before just how
remarkable you are?”
Anyone, including Lucas, would feel delighted to be praised by their significant other.
“Have you never heard of that saying?”
“What saying?”
“Birds of a feather flock together.”
A smile played at the corners of Ashlyn's lips as she gave him a light punch. “Isn't your company
hosting some kind of press conference or public hearing on new energy tomorrow? You should get
some rest early.”
The following morning, Lucas departed from the hotel and made his way to the venue of the new
energy public hearing. There, he found not only expert doctors from Zaewora but also professors fromall over the world.
They all displayed great interest in the new energy developed by Section Six.
If the public hearing proceeded successfully, it would mark a significant milestone in the development
of new energy.
H Nation's position in the global new energy development would undoubtedly ascend to a higher level,
too.
Ashlyn didn't attend the event as she had other pressing matters to deal with, spending her time
communicating with Jared over her laptop.
She was swamped with work when there came a knock on the door of her room.

The moment Sabrina entered, she spotted Ashlyn seated in front of the laptop, her hands rapidly typing
away on the keyboard without pause.
A trace of anxiety was etched on Sabrina's face as she swiftly made her way to Ashlyn's side.
Only then did Ashlyn steal a glance at Sabrina from the corner of her eye. “What's wrong?” she
inquired.
Sabrina also came along to attend the new energy public hearing this time. She was busy working on the program with her team members the past few days, so she wasn't with
Lucas and Ashlyn.
After noting Ashlyn's composed demeanor, Sabrina took a moment to gather herself before speaking.
“Ms. Berry, something bad has happened.”
Ashlyn turned her head to look at her, a hint of confusion in her beautiful almond-shaped eyes. “What
happened?”
Frustrated, Sabrina bit her lip and urged, “Come with me.”
Ashlyn rose from her seat, her voice carrying a cool clarity. “What's the matter? Is there a problem with
the new energy development?”
Lucas had left for the press conference early in the morning. Something must be amiss with the new
energy development which Sabrina and the others couldn't resolve themselves, and since they couldn't
turn to Lucas either, they had no option but to seek Ashlyn's assistance.
Sabrina was momentarily taken aback, her eyes reflecting surprise. “How did you know?”
