1739 Strike Me, Strike Me, Strike Me! (5)
He was in a disheveled state. His clothes were torn and most of his skin was scorched black. His long black hair was in a mess.
“Burp…” Wang Teng burped. A mouthful of black smoke wafted out of his mouth.
This appearance left everyone shocked beyond words, yet they couldn’t help but find it both funny and exasperating.
They were shocked because Wang Teng didn’t seem to be injured. Despite his charred appearance from being struck by lightning, he was completely unharmed.
“Damn it, do you have to be so ruthless?” Wang Teng pointed his middle finger above his head.
Fortunately, he just broke through to the cosmos stage so his ability increased greatly. Moreover, the continuous nourishment of his body by the Origin Energy of Chaos allowed him to endure this trial. If not, he might have to resort to using his blank attributes to raise his Ancient God’s Body again.
If it was the old Wang Teng, he would need a stronger Ancient God’s Body to withstand the last bolt of lightning.
After Wang Teng advanced to the cosmos stage, he gained tremendous benefits.
What he was displaying now was just a small part of the benefits.
All his efforts and hardships were not in vain. He managed to create a scripture that was perfectly suited to himself.
Silence.
Seeing Wang Teng still energetically scolding others despite his appearance, the crowd couldn’t help but feel speechless and marvel at his audacity.
Even after being struck like this, he still dares to curse the calamity lightning!
What a stubborn guy!
“Wang Teng, what did you do? Why did you attract the lightning calamity?” The Guardian Elder’s voice came from behind the dimensional rift. He seemed to have been suppressing his emotions for a long time.
“Guardian Elder!” Wang Teng regained his senses and immediately bowed at the dimensional rift. Then, he said innocently, “Honestly, I don’t know what happened either. I just had a breakthrough and got struck by lightning. It’s unreasonable!”
The Guardian Elder: …
“Elder, do you know what happened? Can you enlighten me?” Wang Teng asked.
How will I know? The Guardian Elder wanted to curse but considering that this person was the most promising talent they had received in the Seventh Stellar Academy for years, he restrained himself and said, “Anything can happen in the chaos. Perhaps your breakthrough was somewhat special, which is why you attracted this calamity lightning.”
His voice had a hint of profound meaning, and though Wang Teng didn’t fully understand what was going on, he could sense that it must be related to his breakthrough.
He didn’t give Wang Teng a chance to probe further.
“Alright, since you have completed your breakthrough, you can leave the Chaotic Uncharted with me. Your time is up.”
Wang Teng felt that the Elder Guardian was brushing him off but he was relieved that he no longer pressed for answers. After all, it might be related to the scripture he had created, and he didn’t want others to know about it. He quickly nodded and said, “Sure, please wait a moment. I’ll like to go thank those senior brothers first.”
Wang Teng turned and looked at the three universe-stage martial warriors. Then, he flew some towards them and bowed. “Thank you for your help just now. I’m Wang Teng and I’m extremely grateful.”
“You’re welcome. We’re all students from the Seventh Stellar Academy. Since we met, we should help if we can,” one of the men smiled and said.
In reality, his heart was aching. He had originally planned to offer assistance to Wang Teng and then gain some insights into this peculiar void. However, the void had been destroyed by the calamity lightning, causing them to miss out on the opportunity.
But, he couldn’t blame it on Wang Teng.
What’s more, whether it was Wang Teng’s displayed strength or the Guardian Elder’s attention to him, it was enough to make them take him seriously.
So, it was better to pretend as if nothing had happened and establish a good relationship with him.
“Seniors, can you leave me your contact details? I will remember this favor,” Wang Teng said.
“Forget about any favors. However, we can exchange contact information. We can keep in touch within the academy,” the man said with a smile. He didn’t show any arrogance of a universe-stage martial warrior.
Wang Teng kept quiet. Some things didn’t need to be said. Since the other party helped him, he would remember it.
He was a person who clearly distinguished between grudges and favors.
He would remember grudges.
He would also remember favors.
Both parties exchanged contact numbers on their wristwatches. The three universe-stage martial warriors knew that Wang Teng was leaving the Chaotic Uncharted soon so they didn’t say much. They didn’t want to keep the Guardian Elder waiting for too long.
Wang Teng kept Elizabeth, Little White, and the Lightning Spirit in his Devour Space. Then, he picked up the attribute bubbles and the golden light spheres around him.
These were all good things left behind by universe-stage Chaotic Beasts. They shouldn’t be wasted.
“Elder, I’m done,” Wang Teng said to the dimensional rift after he was done.
“If you come through the dimensional rift, you can return to the entrance,” the Guardian Elder said calmly.
Wang Teng was surprised. He immediately turned into a beam of light and dashed into the dimensional rift.
The token disappeared too.
In a blink of an eye, Wang Teng found himself back at the entrance of the whirlpool when he entered the Chaotic Uncharted.
He looked down and saw the transit island.
“I will come back.” Wang Teng glanced at the transit island and recalled his trip in the Chaotic Uncharted. He felt that he had gained a lot. He felt that he had gained tremendous benefits and couldn’t help but smile faintly. Then, he turned around and stepped into the whirlpool once more.
