Chapter 1008: Let Me Make Up For It

The opportunity to form a faction with the disciples of members of royalty was too tempting for Long Tao, Li Xuan, and Sun Ningxiang.
Since Lin Yuan had created the opportunity, the three of them were definitely going to grab on.
Zong Ze’s words were a clear sign that he was on board with starting a faction with them.
However, Zong Ze wanted to take 15% of ownership by supplying five emperor-class experts and one thearch-class expert. The 15% had to be Zong Ze’s condition for joining and his way of testing them.
He had already set an expectation, and it was likely that he would lose interest in this endeavor if the rest of the group did not meet his expectation.
But it would be difficult for Long Tao, Li Xuan, and Sun Ningxiang to provide resources similar to the level of five emperor-class experts and one thearch-class expert.
Long Tao, Li Xuan, and Sun Ningxiang gnashed their teeth and proclaimed their contribution and the amount of ownership they wanted to take.
Sun Ningxiang: “I can provide all of the resources we’ll need on a regular basis in the abyssal world. However, I can’t provide any powerful combat power. Condense Healing has been closed for a few years, but most of them are still working for the Sun family. All 100,000 of them have Gold grade and above feys, and I can assign them all into this venture. I would like 10% of ownership.”
Long Tao: “I can send people to handle the management side of the venture as well as provide three emperor-class experts and 200 Class 3 Creation Masters to handle the healing of feys. I would like 10% of ownership.”
Li Xuan: “I can provide two emperor-class experts, 50,000 people, and 200 Class 2 to Class 3 Spirit Craftsmen. I would like 10% of ownership.”
Sun Ningxiang, Li Xuan, and Long Tao had provided the basic human resources and only took up a total of 30% of ownership.
Their offerings in exchange for the 30% of ownership also exceeded that of Zong Ze’s contribution.
This showed Sun Ningxiang, Long Tao, and Li Xuan’s sincerity in starting a faction together.
Although their contributions were higher than that of Zong Ze, Lin Yuan knew from venturing into the marsh world how dangerous the dimensional worlds were.
Both the abyssal world and marsh world had Apostles. Hence, a faction definitely needed the strength of a thearch-class expert to venture into the abyssal world.
Otherwise, if an Apostle or Class 11 dimensional lifeform appeared, the entire faction might be destroyed.
Gao Feng excitedly chimed in.
“The four of you are already taking up 45% of the resources. The four of us shall split the remaining 55% between us.”
Gao Feng had been feeling as though he was in a dream. Thanks to his miraculous connection with Liu Jie, he had become Cicada Song’s disciple.
His father’s attitude toward him had also changed completely.
Gao Feng never dreamed that he would ever get to eat food cooked by his father.
After becoming Cicada Song’s disciple and receiving his teaching, Gao Feng knew that he was never going to become a Radiance Envoy.
He had never set his sights on becoming a Radiance Envoy, but Cicada Song had set a new goal for him—to become one of the ten Radiance Knights.
This put a lot of pressure on Gao Feng’s shoulders.
However, he knew how important a faction’s expansion was to every expert.
He had initially wanted to set up a rising faction with Lin Yuan. But now, an even better opportunity had landed in his lap.
However, Gao Feng’s background was one step lower than Sun Ningxiang and Long Tao. As such, he did not have as many resources.
He decided that he would discuss with his father whether he would be able to take some resources and manpower to contribute to this endeavor. He was sure that his father would not say no to such an opportunity.
“I can provide three emperor-class experts and 50,000 people, but not any Spirit Craftsmen or Creation Masters. Can I have 10% of the ownership?” asked Gao Feng.
Upon hearing that, Lin Yuan said, “Of course!”
Gu Lang looked at Zong Ze curiously as he wondered why someone with Zong Ze’s temperament would be willing to participate in the establishment of a faction.
Zong Ze was a battle fanatic who was never interested in starting a faction.
In spite of his curiosity, Gu Lang said, “Just like Zong Ze, I can provide five emperor-class experts and one thearch-class expert. I would also like 15% of the ownership.”
He paused for a moment before adding, “The foundation has basically been laid out. 200 Class 2 to Class 3 Spirit Craftsmen should be sufficient to build a simple base in the abyssal world. However, we only have 200 Class 3 Creation Masters. Without any high-class Creation Masters, it won’t be easy for us to expand into the abyssal world.”
Gu Lang did not elaborate on how difficult it would be, but he knew that everyone present was well aware.
Without high-class Creation Masters, the feys of king-class, emperor-class, and thearch-class experts would have no one to heal them.
Moreover, there was no guarantee that the various rare fire-element spiritual ingredients in the abyssal world were ripe. Hence, they would require some rare fire-elemental energy. Some spiritual ingredients might even need heavenly-maiden-grade elemental pearls.
The people who ventured into the abyssal world also needed high-quality Bronze feys to support them in the event of the death of their main fey or if they wanted to comprehend Willpower Runes.
Gu Lang felt that they would also need at least 45 Class 3 Creation Masters on top of these rare resources in order to sustain the faction.
While the group was silent, Lin Yuan said, “High-class Creation Master resources aren’t a problem for me. Since only 30% of ownership is left, the Young Liege of the Midnight Palace and I will take it.. We shall contribute high-class Creation Master resources for it.”
