Mirror Soul Chapter 8 First day at the University

The bell rang, all students went out on their class room for their lunch. Kendra happily locked her room
door. She went back home first to eat her lunch and change clothes. Kendra's university was about 15
minutes of walking from her house. She was in a hurry to go to her university. It was her first day.

At the Universirty,

"Ahhh.. I miss my university so much. It is still clean and big. Finally, this is a start towards my dream to
finish it. After this semester, I still have 1 year to go and i cant wait for my graduation. I can do
it!"Kendra said to herself. Kendra was so determined and persistent. No one could ever stop her to
finish her college. For her, having a degree was so important at least she could be proud of somehow
in her life. She was working and studying at the same time. She was motivated and full of enthusiast.

"I will study hard and have a medal when i go up on stage for my graduation. I wanted to see my
parents be proud of me." Kendra said to herself.

At the lobby,

"Hi Kendra, its been a long time. It is Era remember? what are you doing there sitting alone. Come and
join us there." Era said.

"Is that you Era?You look so different. I could not even recognize you. I am fine here. Thank you. My
boyfriend will be here in a minute."Kendra said.

"You have boyfriend?Who is he?" Era suprisingly asked.

"Yes, but he is not studying here. He will be here to bring some of my stuffs. I was in a hurry this
morning and i forgot to bring it. Oh there he is..."Kendra said.

Larry kissed kendra in front of her classmate Era.



"Am i late?" Larry asked.

"No no..its just fine..By the way, Larry i want you to meet my classmate this is Era."Kendra said.

"Hi, I am Larry. Kendra's boyfriend. Nice to meet you."Larry smilingly said.

"Oh, Hi..it is Era. He is so tall. I cant believe that you have a very handsome foreigner boyfriend.Nice to
meet you too. Why dont you both join us there on that area?" Era smilingly asked.

"Its okay Era our class is about to start after 30 minutes. Larry is not going to stay any longer."Kendra
explained.

"Are you sure? Then see you later in the class. Dont be late Kendra." Era teasingly laughed.

After Era left them both, Larry suddenly put out something on his pocket.

" What is this larry?"Kendra wondered.

"Open it." Larry smilingly said.

Kendra opened it and she was so suprise of what she receive from Larry.

"A cellphone?" Kendra suprisingly asked.

"Yes, Dont you like it? you need it. I wanted you to have a personal cell phone just for me and
you."Larry said.

"I have my cellphone and it is still working. You should not buy for a new one."Kendra said.

"But it is old. You have to change it. At least this new one is more convenient for you. I can call you
anytime i want without cutting line and hearing your voice clearly." Larry explained.



"Okay..thank you Larry."Kendra said.

The bell was ringing.. The class was starting..

Larry kissed a goodbye to Kendra.

"Fetch you later after your class baby.."Larry said.

Inside the classroom...

"Ms. Kendra, you are 2 minutes late. Its your first day. You should be in the class on time." Professor
said.

"Oh, sorry professor. I am going be on time promise." Kendra said.

" Never mind the professor he needs only attention."Era said.

The professor was so old. He put out his mic so that the whole class can easily hear him. Kendra was
starting to get sleepy while listening to his professor. She did not know that she slept in her class.

"Ms. Kendra!!!!!" professor called her name loudly many times.

Kendra suddenly awoke and stood up.

" Yes professor." she said.

All of her classmates laughed out loud... The professor gave her a very difficult question. She was not
prepared at all. She could not answer it. She felt so embarrassed that she slept in the class on her first
day.

" I will never forget you Ms. Kendra. You may sit down. Dont forget to study today. Since Ms Kendra
slept during my class expect to have a test tomorrow. Be sure all of you understand the lesson i



explained. Understood? Professor said.

The bell rang, students were still laughing to the Professor and Kendra.

"Are you okay Kendra?"Era asked.

" Yes I am. I am okay. Maybe i was just tired thats why i slept in the class."Kendra explained.

"Oh dear it is not about that you are tired. Our professor is totally boring and his voice truly made us
feel so sleepy."Era said.

"Yes how could he still work at his age?He should be at home relaxing and enjoying his life not
working. Our professor is so hard working. His voice was too small so soft to hear and listen that made
me to fall asleep." Kendra smilingly said.

" Truth..."Era said and others kept laughing.

" It was my first day.. What an embarassing day!"Kendra laughingly said.

Kendra and her classmates continously laughing. Then Larry showed up.

" Oh your handsome and tall boyfriend is fetching you now. Dont you have anymore class after this?"
Era asked.

"I only have one class today so it is time for me to go home now."Kendra said.

"Luckily you are on your first day but I still have one more class. Anyways, Hello there again Kendra's
boyfriend. We leave you both"Era said.

"Bye guys see you tomorrow."Kendra said.



"So Lets go home now.?" Larry asked.

"You want to go anywhere after this?"Kendra asked.

"What about dinner?Are you not hungry?Larry asked.

"Yes, Good suggestion. I am so hungry after that embarrassment moment on my first day."Kendra
smilingly said.

"Then lets go to a nearest restaurant here before going home." Larry said.

Both were walking together out of the university...
