A wave of hesitation flashed across his expression but he still turned to Sima You Yue and the others, saying, “Please, save us.”
Sima You Yue did not reply him but looked at him and she asked, “What’s your name?”
“Jing Huan.”
Sima You Yue looked at his familiar eyes and asked unconsciously, “Who is Jing Wen to you?”
“You know my Third Bro?” Jing Huan looked at her with shock.
Jing Wen was the third oldest in his family- she knew that. However, she didn’t expect to meet his brother.
“What’s your position amongst your brothers?” She asked.
“The sixth.”
Sima You Yue grabbed his left hand and noticed the calluses on the palm of his hand.
Jing Wen had once told her, “My Sixth is an armament master, he’s left handed.”
Sima You Yue pulled on him, asking, “How long have you been here? How familiar are you with this place?”
“Almost half a year. I know a little about this place.” Jing Huan saw the way she was acting and knew that she was willing to rescue him.
Half a year was not considered a long time, which was why Jing Wen and the others didn’t know that he had disappeared.
“Are you acquainted with my Third Bro?” Jing Huan asked.
“Yeah, I am.” Sima You Yue nodded, ‘Relax, we will rescue you.”
Jing Wen could be considered Dear Feng’s hero. If he had not refined the Protection Pill that protected him for such a long time, she would not have been in time to save him.
“Thank you all.” Jing Huan bowed to them, “I have yet to know your names.”
“I am Sima You Yue.” Sima You Yue said, and she saw the confusion in Jing Huan’s eyes, “You may not know me, but you should know Ximen Feng.”
“You’re acquainted with Brother Feng?”
“Yeah, our relationship isn’t bad. He’s how I know Jing Wen.” Sima You Yue said, “Let’s continue talking later. Let’s settle this issue first. You can follow us for the time being.”
“Okay.”
Jing Huan followed Sima You Yue and the others as they continued walking forward. Although Sima You Yue and the others appeared rather young and relatively weak, the people who followed her were not to be messed with. Who knows, they might really be able to leave this place.
He was unlike the other slaves. Although he had been here for half a year, he had not yet given up. He did not want to stay here forever. However, with the salve ring, his power was forcefully suppressed. His interspatial ring had also been taken away, so he had no way to contact Jing Wen and the others.
This was the West Coast Desert, and very few people ever came here. It was constantly heavily guarded, so there was a slim chance of leaving. That was why Sima You Yue was his last hope.
Sima You Yue watched as the people in the house came and went and asked Jing Huan, “Have these people been sold here?”
“Most of them. A few came willingly. However, even if they came here willingly, they will never be able to leave once they reach this place. If they aren’t beaten to death when they try to leave, they’ll force a slave ring on them.” Jing Huan said.
“How did you end up here?” Sima You Yue asked.
“I was captured.” Jing Huan said, “My group arrived at Brave Moon City and wanted to use the teleportation array to go someplace else. However, when we took the teleportation array, we were sent to the West Coast Desert. We flew for ten days and nights, but didn’t find out where we were. In the end, we met a lady who knew how to leave this place, so we followed her. Who would have thought that we would be captured once we arrived here.”
He clenched his fist as he recounted his bitter experience.
“Was it a lady in a purple skirt with a long cloud ribbon around her waist?” Fatty Qu asked.
“She led you here as well? Where is she now?”
“Dead.” Sima You Yue said.
“Dead?”
“Would she be able to live after scheming against me?” Sima You Yue said, “I very kindly sent her to the ghost realm.”
One’s soul would enter the Ghost Realm once they died. Whether or not they could survive there was a whole diff matter.
“I initially wanted to take revenge on her after leaving!” Jing Huan said, “Their headquarters are right up ahead.”
“The teleportation array is here?” Sima You Yue asked.
“Yeah.” Jing Huan nodded, “This is the only road outside. The Brave Moon Sect all pass through here to send back the things they mine.”
“You said earlier that you were sent here after taking the teleportation array from Brave Moon City?” Sima You Yue suddenly asked.
“Yeah. Why?”
“Nothing much. I just suddenly thought of it. The Brave Moon Sect made me think of something.”
“You thought of something?” Jing Huan didn’t get it.
“Yeah.” Sima You Yue pointed at the people walking along the road, “Look at them. They’re all wearing slave rings, which means that they didn’t come here willingly. When travelling between cities, even if you’re a little off, it wouldn’t be possible to send someone to a deserted location like the West Coast Desert. It’s only when people are sent here that they will be able to enter this place and become their slaves.”
“But why wouldn’t they directly send people here then?” Sima You Le asked.
“Because they can’t confirm whether or not there are any powerful people being sent over by the teleportation array. If they’re sent here directly, what would they do if an extremely powerful person came? Would they be able to trap him here?” Sima You Yue explained, “That’s why they send them to the West Coast Desert. If they’re extremely powerful, they’ll be able to leave on their own. If they’re weaker, they’ll be cheated into coming here and it wouldn’t cause too much trouble.”
“The Brave Moon Sect is so cruel!” Jing Huan spat hatefully.
“That’s why I’m thinking that there must be many like you. Who knows, there might be many with illustrious identities.” Sima You Yue said.
“You Yue, are you thinking of…” Sima You Lin looked at Sima You Yue and understood what she was thinking.
“For a situation like this, it would be fine if we didn’t chance upon it. However, now that we have, it would be a waste to just leave it be. We naturally cannot stand aside and ignore it. In the beginning, I was still hesitant. The Brave Moon Sect is the biggest sect here, and it’s not weak. However, if we have people like them who are rather powerful, it would be easier.” Sima You Yue said with a smile.
“You’re right. Those people wouldn’t let the Brave Moon Sect off lightly. If they return to their sects, they’ll definitely exact their revenge. The sects who had their own people had trapped here to dig in the mines will definitely not let the Brave Moon Sect off. When the time comes, there will be many causing trouble for them. Even if they’re the biggest clan, they won’t be in for an easy time!” Wei Zi Qi continued on her behalf.
“You plan to release everyone here?” Sima You Ran asked.
“That’s right. Before releasing them, of course we’ll have to tell them everything that happened in between. Otherwise, they’ll still assume that they were inadvertently sent here by the teleportation array.” Sima You Yue replied.
Scheming against their people? They definitely wouldn’t let them off easy!
Jing Huan’s eyes shone, “I know a few people. They’re from huge sects, and two of them have powerful identities!
