Chapter 73: A Shadow-Like Existence?
9:20 AM.
The countdown to the competition began.
A considerable number of people were already craning their necks to look at the screen on the scene, just to catch the battle team they liked immediately.
A camera panned up and the shoutcaster made an ‘okay’ sign before facing the camera and immediately smiling. “Dearest audience, we’re meeting again. The venue is as passionate as it has always been. The only difference today is that, other than myself, we have another special shoutcaster. Let us welcome the sweet and beautiful Dream Goddess, Yang Mengruo [1. Meng means dream]!”
“Hello.” Yang Mengruo, who was wearing a white dress, appeared to be slightly shy. “I’m an amateur. If I do make any mistakes later, please bear with me.”
The shoutcaster turned to the side. “Your fans here do not agree, isn’t that right?”
“Yes!” Her fans were extremely enthusiastic as they shook the support signs in their hands until they creaked and shouted, “Goddess, we love you!”
Yang Mengruo smiled again and got ample screen time.
The shoutcaster made the gesture that the program director had told him and straightened his mic. “Alright, let’s cut to the chase and welcome on stage the most anticipated competing battle teams! Interstellar and Dark Flares!”
With a swish, the doors on the two ends opened at the same time!
Feng Nai walked right at the front of the team, their plain black team uniform draped over his shoulder. He had matched it on the inside with a white t-shirt. His black locks were still slightly messy, yet when the light hit his face, he didn’t seem unkempt but arrogant, languid, and ever so handsome.
Behind him was Han Xi, and right on his heels was Panda. Mo Bei walked at the very end. The hood of her jacket was up, and her figure looked tall and cold. This coldness, which was difficult to ignore, made the technical director feel compelled to pan the camera over.
However, no fan would care about an unfamiliar face.
They essentially only saw Feng Nai.
The cheers were so loud that even the shoutcaster could not control them.
Everyone was screaming, “Almighty K! Dark Flares!”
Every face was brimming with excitement.
What had been written on the Internet was right.
Wherever the Dark Flares battle team was, there was a following.
Ever since the opening, the number of users online had been continually making a breakthrough.
When Feng Nai appeared, the figure peaked.
Comments were flying past like mad.
The clever media had already focused directly on Feng Nai, Han Xi and Panda.
As for Mo Bei, she was still like an unimportant shadow sitting in the preparation area without uttering a word. When she glanced to the side, her hood drooped and covered her handsome, cold face.
The technical director thought it was a pity. After all, he personally believed that this youth was faintly radiating the aura of a king.
Unfortunately, nobody was buying it.
He could only follow the crowd and adjust the direction of his camera.
The showcaster began to introduce the rules and system of the competition.
It would be three against three. During the match, they would randomly match up with passing teammates.
This competition appeared to be closer to the mentality of the fans.
Who knew, one day, they might match with this team.
However, the fact that Almighty K was actually not playing was disappointing!
The fans became slightly displeased after confirming the name list displayed on the screen once again. “What the hell? Why isn’t Almighty K competing?”
“Please, this is a friendly competition. Almighty K just returned from competing overseas, so he definitely needs to rest and give in to the opponents a little.”
“Even if that’s the case, my adorable Panda should be competing. Who the hell is this FromNorthToSouth? I’ve never heard of him.”
“What the f*ck? It can’t be him.”
“Who?”
“Who else? That new member who loves to use people for attention. Mo Nan!”
“F*ck! What’s there to watch then?”
