Chapter Ch40.2 - He said that he was a big fan of your livestream.

Edited by Divetus and Noks
Yu Yan didn’t actually need to go to the bathroom, but he felt that the table’s atmosphere was a bit too awkward. He thought that it would be better if he temporarily left for a while.
The path leading to the nightclub’s bathroom wasn’t quiet. As he walked over, it was clean, but all the hallways had people making out in them. Fortunately, the nightclub could be considered well-regulated. It was fine for people to kiss, but any more than that wasn’t allowed. There were people specifically keeping guard, so no one got too out of control.
He clutched his cellphone while standing near the sink, saw that 1 hadn’t replied, and picked another emoticon to send to him. After that, he turned to leave the bathroom.
At last, it was time for the nightclub’s event; the music outside the bathroom grew even more intense. The dance floor was full of people. Yu Yan had to pretty much push his way through the crowd to get back to his booth seat.
“Is anyone going to go dance?” The atmosphere had become increasingly enthusiastic, and soon, someone stood up.
“Yes!!”
“Come on, let’s try to squeeze into the center…”
The female classmate next to him was also excited. She tugged at the corner of Yu Yan’s clothes. “Xiao Yan, let’s go dance?”
Yu Yan quickly waved his hand in rejection. “No, you go ba.”
“Come on bei, what’s the point of coming to a nightclub if you’re not going to dance?”
The DJ on the stage suddenly changed the beat of the music, and the resulting volume was deafening. Yu Yan could feel the vibration down to the soles of his feet.
He involuntarily kneaded his ears and was about to refuse her again.
“Hello everyone!”
When everyone glanced up, they saw a man, who was followed by several waiters, standing in front of their booth. “Excuse me, I’m the manager here.”
Li Hang stood up very naturally. “What’s the matter?”
The manager raised his head slightly in a signaling motion and the waiters immediately stepped in front of him. They placed the drinks they were holding in their hands—on the tables, one by one.
Every bottle of alcohol was of a different type; there was even red wine and champagne.
Li Hang could at least be regarded as someone who knew the monetary value of different types of alcohol. From the variety of alcohol present on the table that he recognized, he realized that these were all high quality bottles worth thousands upon thousands of yuan. These were the kinds that his father used for social activities.
He was frightened. He stopped the waiters from opening the bottles. “Wait, Manager. These aren’t the drinks that I ordered! Don’t open them. We won’t pay for it if you open them!”
The manager laughed, “Excuse me, but which one of you is Xiao Yan?”
Their group only had one person whose name contained Yan. Everyone was shocked and looked towards Yu Yan.
The manager followed their eyes and found the person he was looking for. He immediately bent down and said politely, “Mr. Yan, these are all your drinks.”
Yu Yan was at a loss but then shook his head. “You’ve got it wrong ba. I didn’t order any alcohol.”
“It’s yours.” One of the bottles had already been popped open. The manager poured the wine into a red wine glass and set it in front of Yu Yan. “The alcohol was sent to you by a gentleman.”
“A gentleman? Who?”
“He said that he was a big fan of your livestream.” The manager repeated what he had been instructed to say.
“…”
Yu Yan hadn’t even reacted yet when his former dorm monitor, who was sitting opposite him, had become cheerful. “Xiao Yan, you’re awesome ah. You can even come across your fans here! Manager, how much is the alcohol ah? Are all of them from that man? Based on the packaging, it doesn’t look cheap.”
“You truly know the goods. This bottle in my hand is a 1986 Chateau Lafite worth 33,000 yuan. It’s absolutely authentic. We have special channels to acquire these, and we don’t have many. This is 100% genuine.”
The people at the table instantly became silent.
The former dorm monitor lightly coughed. “…. How much did you say it was worth? 30,000 yuan?”
Yu Yan came to his senses and tried to stop the manager. Unfortunately, the other party had already poured the wine into his glass.
He looked at the liquid in the glass and internally thought to himself, just this must be worth several hundreds of yuan…
He stared at it for a long time in distress and then clenched his teeth. “Since this bottle has already been opened, I’ll pay for it. Please help me return the rest ba.”
“You can’t return it. We’ve already printed out the receipt and the guest has already left.”
Yu Yan frowned. “Is there any contact information?”
The manager shook his head. “Sorry. The guest didn’t leave behind any contact information.”
“…”
The manager followed his memory and continued to recite the lines that the gentleman had instructed him to say, “Because there was an agreement between the gentleman and our establishment, if you don’t want the wine, we also won’t be able to refund it.”
“…”
“Aiya, all this is entirely a token of your fan’s affection ah!” The former dorm monitor asked, “So, how much are all these drinks added together ah?”
“This bottle of Lafite was the most expensive. All the alcohol added up is 63,800 yuan.”
All of the people at the table gasped in surprise.
Every single one of them had just stepped into adult society. Which one of them had drunk over 60,000 yuan worth of red wine before? Even Li Hang could only occasionally drink them while at his father’s dinner parties.
Yu Yan affirmed, “You must’ve mistakenly delivered it to me. Maybe there are other anchors around. How about you ask again?”
The manager was even more affirmative as he insisted, “We’re absolutely correct. This is the table, I’ve confirmed it many times.” ”
“…” Yu Yan asked, “Then, can I take these bottles out with me? When the man returns here again, please let me know. I’ll return it all to him.”
“I’m sorry. Some of the wine in our club is sold at cost, so it can’t be taken away.”
In short&#k2014;it couldn’t be taken away, and it couldn’t be returned. That person was determined to make Yu Yan accept it.
In the end, all of the alcohol remained on the table. Yu Yan stared at the bottles and was at his wits’ end.
Just as the manager left, another waiter came to the booth with more wine.
“Hello, here’s the red wine you guys ordered.”
“Is it from Xiao Yan’s fan again?” the former dorm monitor asked.
Chen Min recognized the label and hurriedly said, “No, these were all reserved by Li Hang in advance.”
“Oh, how much is this wine ah?” the former dorm monitor blurted out.
The waiter said, “The original price was 1200 yuan per bottle. At this moment, the nightclub is having a promotion, and there’s a 30% discount for every three bottles bought.”
Comparing this with the previous order of alcohol, this discounted red wine…
Unsightly, it was extremely unsightly.
Li Hang only felt that he had lost face. His face looked ashen and he became even more dissatisfied with Yu Yan. He suddenly stood up and said, “Okay… You can place it as you please ba. Chen Min, let’s go dance.”
After Li Hang left, the tense atmosphere at the table eased considerably.
The former dorm monitor exclaimed, “Xiao Yan, your fan is too awesome, not even wanting to leave a name. Do you have any impression of such a super rich fan ah?”
A super rich fan… he did have one.
He subconsciously took out his cellphone and glanced at it. The other party had already replied to his message at some point.
1: No need, I can’t play games right now. Didn’t you ask for leave today?
Yu Yan lightly tapped the screen with his fingertips.
… What was he thinking? 1 was on a business trip, how could he be at a nightclub?
Another classmate of his couldn’t wait anymore and called out to him, “Xiao Yan, since these have already been accepted, are you going to share them bei?”
Yu Yan hesitated. He couldn’t finish all the alcohol by himself, so he could only reluctantly nod. “… You guys, drink up ba.”
“How could we have the nerve to drink your alcohol by ourselves?” The former dorm monitor patted the recently vacated spot at his side. “Come over so us bros can properly have a chat.”
His classmates were so enthusiastic that Yu Yan hesitated for a moment before sitting down again.
“Ai, everyone has started working recently, so we only have time to go out and play on the weekends. Besides, we haven’t seen you in years.”
“Yeah. I remember that Xiao Yan used to be the most popular person in our dorm building. Every day, someone would come over to find him to play games.”
“Hehe, it’s a good thing that we were in the same dorm as him, so we could take advantage of that.”
The former dorm monitor clinked glasses with Yu Yan. “How about it, drink a glass ba? I’ll go first.”
No one here particularly knew how to judge red wine, they just knew that it was expensive. The former dorm monitor held his glass and drank all the liquid in it in a few mouthfuls.
“You know, it’s really kind of tasty. Come on, you guys also try.”
Yu Yan laughed and drank with them.
He had just managed to finish his glass, but then the former dorm monitor immediately filled it up again. “Next weekend, let’s go to an Internet cafe and do some 5v5s again. Whoever doesn’t come is a bastard! Come on, have another drink!”
Yu Yan hurriedly said, “Can’t drink too much. My alcohol tolerance isn’t good.”
“It’s fine. Don’t they say it’s hard to get drunk off of red wine?”
The man next to him also said, “Yeah, I’ve never gotten drunk when I’ve only had red wine.”
Yu Yan looked completely embarrassed, but ultimately, he still drank again.
At the other end, Yi Ran just watched Yu Yan pour glass after glass into his mouth. He was stupefied. “Holy shit. The wine is so strong yet they’re just chugging it, ah?”
Yi Chen turned his head and saw Yu Yan with his eyes squinted, emptying his wine glass in one gulp.
His eyebrows furrowed, and he took his cellphone out.
1: Go home early, don’t drink too much.
At the other end, the young man took his cellphone out and looked at it. He opened his keyboard and just tapped on it twice before the chubby guy next to him hooked an arm around his shoulder, yelled something, and then filled his glass up again.
Yu Yan squinted at what he had said and nodded. He threw his cellphone back into his pocket and clinked his glass with them before continuing to drink again.
Yi Chen didn’t get a reply, and his eyebrows furrowed even further.
If he had known that this little guy had no self-control, he wouldn’t have sent the wine to him.
“WOW! It’s her! Go go go!” Mo Nancheng was a little tipsy. As soon as the female DJ appeared, he got up and shouted, “Let’s go, let’s go! To the dance floor! A-Chen, let’s go together ah!”
Yi Chen replied, “Not going.”
Mo Nancheng said, “Did you come to the nightclub to be a statue ah?”
Yi Ran quickly grabbed Mo Nancheng’s shoulder. “Cheng Ge, my Ge doesn’t dance, but I dance ah! Let’s go party!”
Mo Nancheng nodded. “We’ll go without him!”
The rest of the people at the table immediately left, leaving Yi Chen all alone.
He simply moved to the seat opposite the spot where he had been sitting and stared at the table in the neighbouring booth.
That table’s atmosphere was already full of drunkenness. The chubby guy had a loud voice——
“How many years has it been since us dorm mates have contacted each other? Outsiders would think that we had severed our relationship! We all have to get together more often, you know? Come on, another drink!”
The little anchor nodded, obediently clinked his glass with everyone else’s, and drank up.
“You didn’t even tell us that you had started livestreaming. I learned about it even later than Li Hang did! Is that proper?! This deserves another drink as punishment!”
The little anchor nodded again. Interpreting the way his mouth had moved, he had apologized before he drank up.
“Xiao Yan, back in junior high, wasn’t there a girl who confessed to you? She was my goddess! I had been pining after her for three years during junior high, but you, this guy, actually refused her! Don’t you think you went too far? Another glass for punishment!”
The little anchor was completely bewildered, but he couldn’t resist the instigation of the people next to him, and drank up again.
Yi Chen: “…”
What kind of once-in-a-millenium little fool was this?
After the open bottles of red wine were finished, the former dorm monitor waved his hand, and beer was delivered to the table.
Yu Yan shook his head. “I can’t drink anymore.”
He only felt that his stomach was churning and his head was dizzy. On the stage, in front of the DJ, men and women were playing games and using their stomachs to squeeze balloons. He couldn’t even clearly see the people with just a glance anymore.
“It’s even harder to get drunk off beer. We seldom drink together and we don’t know when the next time will be. Don’t worry, I drove here, so in a bit, I’ll ask the valet to drive us all back!” The former dorm monitor said this while pouring beer directly into Yu Yan’s wine glass. “Come on ba, another glass!”
Because his formal education was only up until the junior high level, his junior high school classmates, in Yu Yan’s mind, counted as his university friends.
Thus, he hesitated for a moment. “… Then, then I’ll just drink a little more.”
Mo Nancheng returned to his booth with the female DJ after playing some drinking games.
The female DJ wore sexy clothes and was pushing a cake toward their table.
“Come, come, come, cut the cake!” Mo Nancheng exclaimed, “Yi, why are you sitting here now?”
He followed Yi Chen’s gaze, saw the neighboring table’s situation, and couldn’t help but click his tongue. “Young people party pretty crazily nowadays. Mixing drinks, eventually they’re going to have problems.”
“Done talking?” Yi Chen glanced at the cake that had two digits on it—18. He laughed and said, “You really care about your face.”
“Of course. Quickly, cut the cake. When the cake is cut, we’re heading back.”
A person standing nearby cried out, “So fast? It’s only halfway through the event!”
Mo Nancheng put his arm around the female DJ’s shoulder and said with a smile, “Aiya, I’m old. I can’t party anymore. Everyone must understand.”
The female DJ laughed heartily in his arms.
Yi Ran sat back in his seat and couldn’t help but glance at Yu Yan.
He became startled as soon as he saw him; obviously, Yu Yan had drunk too much. His eyes were narrowed, and by this time, he was half spread out on the sofa as he listened to the people beside him talk. Every now and then, he would clink glasses with someone.
He whispered, “Ge, Xiao Yan is drunk ba?”
Yi Chen responded, “En.”
At this moment, Yu Yan suddenly sat up straight. He put his elbows on his knees and covered his whole face with his palm, as if he was trying to sober up.
Yi Ran said, “I think he’s not feeling comfortable right now.”
Yi Chen withdrew his gaze from Yu Yan’s table and put his cellphone away. On his cellphone were the many messages he had sent out, without having received a reply for any of them.
“He should suffer a little, so he can learn to be good later.”
Yi Ran thought to himself, you sent someone wine, and they drank all of it, but you’re still not happy?
But he only dared to think that; he didn’t dare to actually say it out loud.
This side was full of old drunkards who had traversed the drinking scene for many years. Thus, despite how much they drank, no one was drunk.
After cutting his cake, Mo Nancheng stood up. “Okay, we’re pretty much done for today. Let’s head back? There are still events at the hotel as well. If you’re late in getting back, you’ll miss them.”
Everyone knew what these “events” were. They got up one after another to leave.
Yi Ran asked, “Ge, why didn’t I get an ‘event’ ah?”
“You’re this young, and you want an event? Do you want your Ge to hack me to death with an axe?”
Before leaving, Yi Chen looked back. Yu Yan was now lying on the sofa, already completely knocked out. His mouth was slightly open, he looked just like a standard drunk person.
After they walked out of the nightclub, the night breeze that blew against them sobered them all up. Mo Nancheng had arranged for four cars to wait for them outside.
After seeing all the other people off, only the four of them were left.
Mo Nancheng cuddled with the female DJ and said, “Let’s go. Get in the car.”
Yi Chen turned on his cellphone for the third time. It was empty. He still hadn’t received any notifications.
After a while, he sighed, “Wait a minute.”
Mo Nancheng: “?”
“You three go back first.”
Yi Ran was shocked. “Then, what about you?”
Yi Chen said, “I still have something else to do.”
He tossed this sentence behind as he turned around and walked back into the nightclub, regardless of the questions from the people behind him.

When the other people came back from the dance floor, they saw Yu Yan lying on the sofa, looking as if he had passed out.
“You guys went too far ba. Did you force him to drink so much that he became like this?”
The former dorm monitor tried to explain, “No. Xiao Yan’s alcohol tolerance, well, it doesn’t seem that good.”
“How good do you think your alcohol tolerance is? You can’t even talk properly.”
Chen Min put on his coat. “It’s already 12:30 a.m, so how about we leave ba?”
“Then, who will send Xiao Yan home ah?”
“I, I asked for a valet…” the former dorm monitor hurriedly said.
“I’ll send him back.”
A low male voice spoke out. Everyone looked over and saw an unfamiliar man standing at their table.
The man was tall and handsome. He wore a simple black hoodie and gave off an impression of aloofness.
Everyone was stunned. A discussion immediately burst out between the girls.
The former dorm monitor asked, “Who are you ah?”
“His friend,” said Yi Chen.
“What friend?” The former dorm monitor looked at him suspiciously. “No need, we’ll send him back ourselves.”
Yi Chen raised his eyebrows. “We made an agreement before, that I would come to pick him up. If you don’t believe me, you can read his WeChat.”
The person next to Yu Yan quickly pulled out his cellphone from his pocket, unlocked it with his fingerprint, and then opened WeChat. “What’s your name?”
“WeChat name is 1.”
The young man looked through Yu Yan’s WeChat and said, “… It seems like it’s true, Xiao Yan stickied his chat to the top. But, I don’t see a message about you picking him up ah?”
Stickied his chat to the top?
That bit actually surprised Yi Chen a little.
“We agreed on it using voice messages,” he calmly replied, not revealing anything on his face.
Finally, since the WeChat IDs matched, these people only asked a few more questions before reluctantly agreeing to let him take Yu Yan away.
Yu Yan, who was in a daze, felt his arm being lifted by someone before being placed against something to lean on.
Yi Chen easily supported him up and left without looking back. The young man’s hair was very soft and scratched against his chin a bit. It was a little ticklish.
When they got into the taxi, the driver said, “I’m going to fine you 500 yuan if he vomits ah. Where are you going?”
It was only then that Yi Chen was reminded of something. He turned around and asked Yu Yan, “Where do you live?”
Yu Yan leaned his head against the window. His head felt like it was splitting in two and he begged for mercy, “No more drinking.”
“….”
Yi Chen couldn’t help but lift his hand to pinch Yu Yan’s face. He had already wanted to do this in the nightclub while asking him if he had a brain. If he did, how could he be so stupid to get this drunk?
“Where do you live?” he asked again.
Yu Yan finally reacted.
He turned his head with great difficulty to face Yi Chen. Because he had drunk too much, his eyes were misty, his face was puzzled, and he looked very pitiful.
It was 1’s voice.
Had he fallen asleep? Was he dreaming?
A long time passed before he opened his mouth——
“Hic!” He belched loudly.
“…”
Yi Chen gave up on trying to communicate with him and released him. “Go to Miyang Hotel.”

The author has something to say:
The price of champagne is a little hard to check, so I changed it to red wine
Blame me, a poor person who hasn’t seen the world. Make do with it ba.

Juurensha: Yay for faceslapping, boo for idiot bros who think mixing wine with beer is a good idea (and that you can’t get drunk off of wine???) QAQ for that super expensive wine all just chugged down…you’re supposed to sip it guys! And at least Boss Yi is there to take care of him, these classmates are pretty useless as I said before.
Divi: Truly young fellows that don’t know the world. Mixing alcohols? Chugging 10K USD wine? You’re supposed to enjoy it as you lounge… At least Boss Yi got to faceslap the idiot! Don’t try showing off with your little Baby Benz and $350 wine pft, that’s like peanuts to him. Honestly though, Yi Chen looks so sketchy but he does communicate with Yanyan… so it’s okay I guess….
