He hadn’t known what warmth was, neither did he know that one day he would get into the habit of doting on his wife. He believed that after having his own family, he would fulfill his obligations to the best of his abilities. He had not considered why his mentality was such. However, now that he had done so, he felt that everything was as it was meant to be.
If his wife disappeared right under his nose, not only would he be unable to deal with the loss, he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself either.
At last, Xie Limo breathed a long sigh. He really didn’t know how to deal with her, and he was getting a headache.
Yun Bixue heard out the resignation and indulgence in Xie Limo’s tone, and she felt a tinge of sweetness in her heart. She continued to hang her head low, like an obedient child. If she appeared pitiful, she didn’t think that he could stay angry at her.
As expected, after seeing Yun Bixue’s subdued appearance, Xie Limo stopped being angry. He asked, “Do you know what you did wrong?”
Yun Bixue nodded her head quickly. “Yes, I know!” she answered like an obedient child.
“Tell me what your exact mistake.”
Yun Bixue was momentarily stunned. She raised her head in confusion. What was her mistake?
Yun Bixue blinked and appeared confused. How should I put it? Should I say that my mistake was leaving the house? Was there anything else?
Although she couldn’t quite figure it out, she knew she was at fault. People have feelings and emotions. One couldn’t simply put those aside and stay absolutely calm and rational; they were husband and wife after all.
Xie Limo continued to look down and saw Yun Bixue’s uneasy frown. She then wet her lips and opened her mouth, but he couldn’t make out what she was saying.
“Still don’t know what your mistake was?” Xie Limo’s bright, almond eyes were shining like diamonds, emitting a faint charm. His gaze was alluring and mysterious, yet fascinating at the same time.
Yun Bixue thought hard and finally said, “Limo, I made many mistakes. I think I shouldn’t have left the house, and I shouldn’t have acted that rashly. I shouldn’t have run into Shen Zhengyao and put myself in so much danger.” Her priority now was to get past Xie Limo’s line of questioning.
“Anything else?”
“Anything else?” Yun Bixue’s mouth opened in shock. Was there anything else that she did wrong?
Xie Limo’s handsome face exuded an otherworldly charm. His gaze dimmed and he said, “You’ll be punished if you can’t answer.” His voice was deep and melodic, tugging at her heartstrings. She couldn’t help herself from being enthralled.
Before Yun Bixue could react, Xie Limo kissed her with a dominating force, his hold on her was overbearing, as though he wanted to merge their bodies together.
Yun Bixue was overwhelmed. Xie Limo’s warm tongue pushed her teeth open and went in. She was flustered, her hair was in disarray, and she started panting as her body became as soft as water. Both their temperatures rose, and their breaths grew heavy.
His body’s faint scent lingered around them.
It was only when Yun Bixue was about to faint that Xie Limo let her go. His glowing eyes looked at her lips that had traces of blood from his kiss, thinking that they looked almost like a flower that was overflowing with beauty. The flowers were blooming for him.
Yun Bixue extended his hand and caressed Yun Bixue’s lips, tracing its outline. His gaze grew dimmer, like a storm was brewing.
“My wife, your biggest mistake was putting yourself in danger. Your mistake was neglecting my feelings and neglecting your position here,” Xie Limo replied, putting Yun Bixue’s hand over his heart and letting her feel his heartbeat.
