Chapter 419: One Grandson Son Only (Part Two)
“You goddamned old man, come home and teach your son a lesson. He is not treating me well. My grandson has been driven out of home when he is badly injured. He will die!”
Mo Lan’s eyes were swollen up. She was extremely annoyed as she dashed towards Jing Tianyuan.
After Mo Lan gave Jing Yiran the properties of Family Jing which he ended up splurging, Jing Tianyuan no longer indulged her as he used to, earlier.
Mo Lan had been a relatively rational woman when she was younger. But as she grew old, she got more and more childish and impulsive at doing everything. Jing Yiran must have fooled her somehow, making her throw her common sense out of the window.
She was capable of giving Jing Yiran all she had of Jingsheng, without hesitation.
Jing Tianyuan understood that Mo Lan assumed that Jing Yichen could still be powerful because of his abilities even without the support of Family Jing. After all, he had achieved a lot through his own abilities. But Jing Yiran, on the other hand, would have no position to stand, without Family Jing in A City. That was why Mo Lan gave everything good to Jing Yiran, instead.
But that was absolutely unfair to Jing Yichen. Just because he was powerful enough and worked hard, he was penalised for it?
If that was the case, who would he bother to work hard?
That was not Family Jing’s style. Family Jing always respected the powerful. If Jing Yichen was the powerful one, then all of Family Jing should belong to him.
As for the weak one, it was natural that he was stomped under someone else’s feet.
Jing Tianyuan took a sip of the tea, and then stared at Mo Lan. He calmly asked her. “What are you crying about? My grandson is sitting right here. He is totally fine.”
Mo Lan got startled for a second and then bellowed. “I mean the other one. You know which one…”
Before she could say anything more, she was interrupted by Jing Tianyuan who responded in an uncompromising tone, “I have got only one grandson. What do you mean by the other? Old wife, you are getting forgetful as you are ageing.”
Mo Lan was speechless.
It was true that Jing Tianyuan had never admitted Jing Yiran as part of the family in front of outsiders. Jing Yichen was the only grandson he accepted. He and Jing Zhongxiu had only cultivated Jing Yichen. He had been punished severely by them when he was young. Jing Yiran, however, wasn’t punished no matter what he did, because he was an outsider in Jing Tianyuan’s eyes.
Her tears kept trickling out as she trembled in anger.
“Ran is my life. Are you trying to kill him or me? If anything happens to him, I will die too!”
Shangguan Ning wanted to get up to help Mo Lan when Jing Yichen stopped her.
Shangguan Ning looked at Jing Yichen and paused.
Jing Yichen had always been cold towards Mo Lan. That was something Shangguan Ning had noticed when they first met each other.
Now he treated her even more indifferently.
Shangguan Ning had had a good impression of Mo Lan. She considered her as a grandma who cared about her grandchildren.
She even remembered that Mo Lan had been worried about Jing Yichen’s marriage and had been very cheerful when she saw her sharing bed with Jing Yichen.
But as time went by, she found that if Jing Yiran was not involved, Mo Lan was kind to Jing Yichen. But the minute Jing Yiran came into the picture, Mo Lan would blame Jing Yichen for everything and defend Jing Yiran without fail. No matter what happened, Jing Yichen was the one to be blamed in her eyes, especially when Jing Yiran got injured.
Shangguan Ning didn’t like Jing Yiran at all, and hence she couldn’t like Mo Lan who kept defending him.
The truth was that Jing Yichen only took action when Jing Yiran provoked him.
Jing Tianyuan was not moved at all by Mo Lan’s constant crying. He knew pretty well what his old wife was trying to do.
“Stop it! Go home and vent whatever you are feeling. Are you trying to make Mu Wensheng laugh at me? You can go and educate that grandson of yours if you have so much time to shed tears in front of me. He must grow up.”
Jing Tianyuan was quite displeased when he mentioned Jing Yiran.
“You have brought up a traitor who sold Family Jing. If he is given any more properties, we will all become beggars. Are you also planning to ruin our family? Zhongxiu is right. That bastard should have been thrown out ages ago.”
Mo Lan had never expected that Jing Tianyuan would treat her in this way. Jing Tianyuan had always allowed her to do whatever she wanted and never talked with her in such a domineering manner.
She knew that Jing Yiran was wrong to have sold the shares. But she didn’t think that Jing Yiran should be driven out of the family just because of this reason.
Jing Yichen was here, right? He was powerful and could get all the shares back.
Mo Lan felt that Jing Yichen should help Jing Yiran because they were brothers.
But she left in anger finally because even Mu Wensheng scolded her after he came out of his favourite room.
Immediately after Mo Lan left, Jing Tianyuan grabbed Mu Wensheng’s arm and asked, “My wife should be fine, right?”
Mu Wensheng flung off his arm and said with a smirk, “Don’t worry. I just felt her pulse when I grabbed her. She is far away from death.”
It was not a kind phrase, but it assured Jing Tianyuan. Then he asked Mu Wensheng to feel Shangguan Ning’s pulse.
Mu Wensheng felt her pulse without hesitation especially because Shangguan Ning had brought him such precious ingredients.
“She is totally fine, don’t worry. She will certainly give birth to a baby for your family.”
Mu Wensheng drew back his hands and said with a smile.
If a baby was born in Family Jing, he, as Shangguan Ning’s special doctor, would surely get many presents from Jing Tianyuan as a way of appreciation.
Haha, at that time, he would get some more medicinal material from him.
Jing Yichen and Shangguan Ning didn’t stay at Mu Wensheng’s for lunch. Instead, they headed towards Huang Lihan’s residence. After being badgered by Mo Lan for so long, Jing Zhongxiu had gone to Huang Lihan’s to escape his mother and seek peace.
Shangguan Ning had not yet been to Huang Lihan’s after she got pregnant. It was time to tell him the good news.
