Chapter 2192
“James.”
In the palace, Quincy walked toward James, who was sitting in the main seat, with a puzzled look on her face.
Wearing a red dress, her curvaceous figure only accentuated her impeccable beauty
She said, “I thought you went to Mount Bane and entered the Space-Time Portal. Why have you returned so
quickly?”
As there was no concept of time in the Infinity Cities in the Provenance, James had no idea how much time had
passed.
“How many days has it been since the Space-Time Portal opened?”
Quincy replied, “Three days.”
“Only three days?!”
James exclaimed.

He thought he had been in the Provenance for a very long time. It appeared that only three days had passed.
“That’s right, it’s only been three days.” Quincy nodded.
James took a deep breath.
Why did he feel like a long time had passed?
“What’s wrong? Did something bad happen?” Quincy asked.
“It’s nothing.”
James said, “I’m just tired. That’s all. I’m heading to rest.”
Saying that, he turned to leave.
He arrived at his room in the courtyard and lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. After brief contemplation,
he got up and summoned the 108 Infinity Steles.
Looking at the Infinity Steles that had diminished in size, James let loose a laugh.
He never thought he would be this fortunate to obtain the most significant object of the Space -Time Portal. It
appeared that the providence that emerged after the First Calamity was the 108 Infinity Steles, not traveling back
in time to when the universe was born.

The Infinity Steles exuded an ancient aura that sent a chill down James’ spine.
“Their power should be unbelievably great…”
James murmured as he happily stored them away.
Then, the feeling of anxiety returned. That was because four catastrophes would appear on Earth before the seal
was undone.
Though this was only the First Calamity, many had perished.
What would happen when the Second Calamity appeared? When would it emerge?
James lay on the bed and contemplated. Slowly, he drifted off to sleep.
For the next few days, James remained in Wyrmstead and dealt with the country’s affairs. Soon, a week had
passed.
A week ago, the Space-Time Portal disappeared after the cultivators were forced out of the Provenance. However,
they did not leave Earth but instead remained here.

Although they missed the providence brought about by the First Calamity, there was still the Second Calamity.
As the Second Calamity targeted only the earthlings, they were concerned. In essence, they could not care less
about the fate of the earthlings.
Before the Second Calamity even appeared, James encountered a new problem.
On a morning a week later, James was in the middle of a meeting with Quincy and the others in the palace when
approaching flying objects blotted the sky in the distance.
“Reporting!”
A guard rushed into the palace.
“What’s wrong?”
James asked with a frown.
Wearing a horrified expression, the guard pointed outside the palace, “Th-There are airships approaching
Wyrmstead.”
“Huh?”
James momentarily froze before standing up and rushing outside.
