Chapter 4745
Parthias' voice rumbled like thunder, causing James’ ears to buzz. It took him a while to
recollect himself.
James turned around and looked at Parthias, who had already stood up.
Parthias said coldly, "Wael went through great efforts to make you the Head of Tempris.
Now that you've come in contact with the Malvada Sect, have you also been bewitched by
them?”
James showed no fear in the face of Verdett House's Great Elder. He boldly questioned,
"Nobody is to blame for the former Headmaster of Verde Academy. Yet, the powerhouses
of the Verde Academy's Five Houses united to destroy the Immortal Sect."
Parthias retorted, "Everybody knows that the Immortal Sect is evil. The Immortal Sect's
Leader was injured, and it was the best time to obliterate them. After the biggest problem
was gone, it was much easier to deal with the smaller forces under them.”
James responded, "Is that so? Were there really no selfish motives? Wasn't it to avenge the
former Headmaster of Verde Academy? Then what makes the Verde Academy so different

from a corrupted sect? The Immortal Sect restrained these corrupted sects, which
prevented them from doing anything overboard. Without them, the Verde District would’ve
been in complete chaos."
Faced with James' questioning, Parthias was livid. He replied coldly, "Return to Tempris
House and reflect on yourself. If you can't even distinguish bad from good, you've no right
to be the Head of Tempris."
James said coldly, "I don't really care about the position. If not for my promise to Sir Wael,
I wouldn't want to stay in the Verde Academy, which only preaches righteousness but
doesn't practice it."
After speaking, James' disappeared from sight. He returned to the Tempris House and
entered a manor.
He picked up the tea on the table and gulped it down. Then, he grumbled, "I’m so pissed."
Waleria, Saachi, and Wynton were gathered in the manor.
Everyone looked at him in confusion.
Waleria asked curiously, "What is it? Didn't you go to report the situation?"

James took a deep breath to calm down. Then, he replied, "I heard from Parthias that Zula
was indeed a disciple from Tempris House, and she’s Wael's sister. It seems she was telling
us the truth. However, Parthias insists Zula was tempted by corrupted arts and
bewitched."
Waleria attempted to comfort him for the first time, saying," Forget it. There's no need to
be mad over it. They were in different circumstances. You can only see things so clearly
because you're a bystander. It's hard to really determine what's right in their positions."
Saachi also agreed, saying, "She's right. Just imagine someone killed your wife. Wouldn’t
you want to avenge her? So, wouldn't that make the person who killed her your enemy?"
Wynton nodded and said, "Nobody can clearly define right and wrong. Everyone just
simply has different circumstances."
James calmed down after hearing their words.
Waleria crossed her legs and said lazily, "In an age where strength is everything, who
really cares about right and wrong? The strong get the final say. Anyway, it's best you
spend your effort thinking about what to do next.”

James fell into thought. After a while, he said, "From a bystander’s perspective, I agree
with Zula. She had to choose between doing the right thing and her sect back then. It
must've taken a lot of courage to make the decision. Since she's from Tempris House, I'd
like to be able to come back."
"I don't think that's possible."
"Me too."
"You're too naive, James. A senior disciple of Tempris House was executed just because he
was suspected of conspiring with Zula. It's almost impossible to bring her back here."
Saachi, Wynton, and Waleria were against the idea.
"I'll have to try to know. The worst outcome is me having to leave Tempris House," James
said nonchalantly.
Although Wael never told him about the incident's details, he must have regretted it all
these years. James was confident Wael would support his decision.
"Do as you please. I'll be heading into seclusion."
Waleria left a few words and disappeared from the manor. The next moment, she had
returned to her own spiritual mountain. Then, she set up a time formation and began to
cultivate.
