“I wasn’t a normal boyfriend in the first place. Yasmeen, go back first!”

Lucas’s voice was not loud as it could only be heard by them. However, he was quite serious.

Yasmeen was still immersed in the happiness of confirming her relationship with Lucas. She could not
help but stun for a moment when she heard such a cold voice. Then, she slowly raised her head and
saw Lucas’s eyes twitch slightly. She instantly understood his intention.

After all, they had developed mutual understanding throughout the years.

“Alright, I will go back first then. Just contact me if there’s something.”

“Okay, be careful on the road.”

“Yeah.”

Yasmeen felt a little cold as she got up from his hug.

She had just been in a relationship with Lucas and was already a bit fond of his hug. What should she

“Don’t drive! Go and take the bus!”

Yasmeen had just walked out of the hospital and was going to the car park. She was stunned for a
moment when she saw Lucas’s message.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. My instinct tells me that you shouldn’t drive.”

Over the years in his military career, he believed his instinct the most.

Who would come over here to eavesdrop on him for no reason?

What was the purpose?

He could not help but think of Yasmeen appearing at the kidnapping scene.

Could it be that this had something to do with kidnapping?

However, everything was just Lucas’s guess. He could only let Yasmeen take the bus. In this case,
they would have to consider before taking action as many people were on the bus.



Yasmeen did not ask further when she heard what Lucas had said. However, she looked slightly pale.

She picked up her phone and called somebody. She said seriously, “Go to the underground car park
and check if there’s anything wrong with my car.”

Yasmeen was a bit confused while glancing at Lucas’s ward inside the hospital.

She listened to his advice and went to the bus stop. However, she noticed somebody was following her
behind.

Yasmeen narrowed her eyes. Then, she got on the bus hurriedly while it was crowded.

Throughout these years, Yasmeen had given up her identity in order to be with Lucas. She had even
ridden a public motorbike, not to mention taking a bus before. She even crouched at the entrance of
Lucas’s villa just to block him at midnight when she was in pursuit of him.

Yasmeen found herself amusing while thinking of those ridiculous things she had done over the years.

She could not believe that she was able to persevere.

In fact, it was not easy to go after Lucas at all!

He was indifferent and bad-tempered. At first, he completely ignored her due to his prejudice against
her. Afterwards, she sneaked into Lucas’s house and planned to get onto his bed when he was
sleeping soundly. However, she was kicked out of the bed by him.



That kick was really awful!

She recalled that she had broken two ribs at that moment! She was carried onto the ambulance and
then hospitalized for three months!

During this period, Lucas had never visited her at all. Even though he sent her a bouquet of flowers in
his name, but at that time her father, Steven was so angry that he almost went to beat him up. Yet, she
stopped him from doing so.

It was because she knew that Lucas thought he was being attacked, so he had kicked her hard.
Anyway, it was not easy to go after him till now.

Yasmeen could not help but laugh.

He was a naughty guy!

Wasn’t he still conquered by her even though he disliked her in the first place? Wasn’t he Yasmeen’s
boyfriend by now?

While being proud, she suddenly noticed that somebody was approaching her. She narrowed her eyes

The person wore a cap that was blocking his face. So, she could hardly see his real face. At the same
time, she also launched her defence with her left hand.

Many people were on the bus. If Yasmeen really fought with the person, she was afraid that she would
hurt the innocent. At that time, she would spark a hot debate in public and get into trouble whether it
was because of her identity or whatever. Moreover, she had just posted her relationship with Lucas on
her social media a while ago.

Yasmeen hesitated but still quickly let go of the person. The person took two steps back and hid in the
crowd.

When the bus arrived at the station, that person got off the bus quickly and escaped in the crowd.

Lucas opened his eyes suddenly. The nurse trembled in shock.

“Who told you to come in? I don’t need to have an intravenous drip today!”

Lucas was staring straight at the nurse as if a sword piercing through the nurse.

The nurse’s eyes gleamed and she said hurriedly, “Then maybe I went into the wrong room. I will go
and check again.”

She ran away in a panic after saying that.

Lucas did not chase after her too.



Those who could get in and out of the Military Hospital so freely must be the people staying here. He
just did not know that who was actually the person.

Lucas narrowed his eyes and heard somebody screaming from the ward next to him.

“Leave me alone! Let me die! What’s the point for a woman living like me? Nobody will marry me! I will
only be a stepmother for the others in the future! I won’t have my own children. It’s impossible for the
rest of my life!”

It was Penny.

Lucas felt upset suddenly.

After all, her life changed because of him.

He remembered her mother’s attitude. The wound on his face still hurt but he could not bother anymore
at this moment.

Lucas quickly got up and went to the next room. He saw that Penny was intending to cut her wrist and
commit suicide with a fruit knife. Her mother was so frightened that her face turned pale. She did not
dare to get closer as she was about to faint.

“Penny, put it down now! Mum has to count on you for the rest of my life. If you’re dead, what should
mum do?”

“I don’t want to live anymore! Mum, don’t come over. Leave me alone!”

Penny was very emotional and agitated.

Lucas was slightly annoyed. He moved forward in a flash and nobody saw clearly how did he reach in
