“Remember, don’t ever show your token to others,” Miao Miao said. “And your points are your first priority. If others have no idea what your points are, they won’t easily make a move on you.”
Miao Miao had participated in the Six Dao Tournament before, so she had some insights about it.
“I understand.” Ye Mo had a clear understanding of what his priority should be.
Suddenly, Elder Taotie waved his hand, creating a vicious Taotie beast in the air. The Taotie beast opened its jaw wide, unleashing an oppressive aura that seemed to surpass everything in existence. All the disciples were shaken when they saw the massive Taotie beast.
Even the several eldest senior brothers of the six dao palaces didn’t dare move after seeing that. They didn’t even dare to make a noise.
The Taotie beast roared. The power contained in the roar surpassed the might of Transcendence Realm and even Profound World Realm. The power spread, sending rays of light that shot toward each of the disciples participating in the tournament.
Next, on each of their palms, an imprint of a token appeared. All of the tokens had 0 written on them.
On the wide-open jaw of the Taotie beast, a ranking had appeared. On the ranking was the list of the points of all participants, individuals, and groups.
“What a magical sight.”
“That Elder Taotie is so powerful. He’s the strongest warrior I have ever seen.”
“In this Six Dao Tournament, I’ll definitely enter the top 10.”
“Looks like that Ye Mo is going to participate in the Six Dao Tournament as well.” Lin Langya was standing amongst the crowd, glaring sinisterly at Ye Mo. “Although he’s comprehended the Will of Six Daos Reincarnation, I’m now in the Transcendence Realm. After we go in, I’ll follow him around and keep my eyes on him as I kill the demons in there. After he kills enough beasts, I’ll take his token from him.”
Because of Ye Mo comprehending the Will of Six Daos Reincarnation, Wu Tian had lost 1,000 Transcendence Pills in the bet. On top of that, Wu Tian’s adopted son had suffered a crushing defeat at Ye Mo’s hands. Elder Wu Tian was filled with hate toward Ye Mo. And, due to his hatred, he put his all into helping improve Lin Langya’s cultivation. In the span of one month, Lin Langya was pushed into the Transcendence Realm, gaining his Transcendence Golden Body, the Howling Celestial Hound.
“This time, I only need to kill enough demons and protect my token from others. That will be enough to do well.”
Everyone was busy talking among themselves when, suddenly, the tunnel leading to Purgatory was opened. Inside, several chaotic spatial storms could be seen.
“Alright. Disciples who are participating in the Six Dao Tournament, you may start entering the tunnel.” Elder Taotie waved his hand once again, slightly calming the chaotic spatial storms. “Enter in accordance to your palace. We will start with Human Dao Palace, followed by Heavenly Palace, Beast Palace, Asura Palace, Asura Palace, and Hell Dao Palace. After entering the Purgatory, your tokens will be connected to the ranking. All the points you get will be recorded and the rankings will be arranged accordingly. In there, you can find demons from the Transcendence First Realm to the Transcendence Ninth Realm. For Spirit Devour Realm demons, you can obtain one point per kill. For Transcendence First Realm demons, two points per kill. Four points for Third Realm, eight points for the Fourth Realm, and so on.”
Rumble! The Human Dao Palace disciples flew toward the tunnel in an orderly fashion. There were thousands of them. Next, the disciples of the other palaces entered, one after another.
Finally, Ye Mo entered the tunnel with Mu Sang and the others.
Upon entering the tunnel, Ye Mo sensed numerous storms capable of tearing space apart blasting into his face and body. But, after being nourished by the dragon blood, Ye Mo’s flesh was comparable to a low-grade Bejeweled Weapon. A spatial storm at this level wasn’t sufficient to hurt his body.
But soon after, Ye Mo felt the pressure around him reducing. Mu Sang had released his Mu Copper Shield and protected Ye Mo with it.
“Junior Brother Ye Mo, we might not be able to protect you later, we have to go look for demons of our level to kill,” Mu Sang said as he handed Ye Mo a seal. “Be sure to be careful. This is my Sensing Seal. The moment you encounter danger, crush the seal and I’ll be notified of your location.”
Ye Mo didn’t bother hesitating and accepted the seal. Mu Sang was a Transcendence Eight Realm expert, Ye Mo couldn’t have expected that Mu Sang would accompany him to go kill some Transcendence Second Realm demons instead.
Mu Sang, Taiyi Qinglian and the others were going to aim for the top three in this tournament. And to do that, they would have to hunt some higher-level demons
Based on the rules of the tournament, killing a Transcendence First Realm demon would grant someone two points. For Transcendence Second Realm demons, one would get four points per kill. Killing a Transcendence Six Realm demon would give 64 points, a Seventh Realm demon would grant 128 points, and an Eight Realm demon would grant 256 points.
No matter how many Transcendence First Realm demons he could kill, his points wouldn’t be close to the senior disciples, who would be killing demons of the Sixth or Seventh Realms.
“Seniors, don’t worry,” Ye Mo said calmly. “Just go ahead and hunt the strong demons and earn glory for the Asura Palace.”
As they spoke, they reached Purgatory. Upon arriving, everyone spread everywhere and started their hunts.
“What a thick aura of Purgatory. Everywhere is filled with an evil aura,” Ye Mo lamented and, with a whoosh, he unfurled his Caged Dragon Wings and streaked away.
“Shit. Why is Ye Mo so fast?”
“He’s too fast. Us Transcendence First and Second Realm disciples have been assigned to follow and eliminate Ye Mo regardless of whether he has any points. But we couldn’t even follow his aura before he was gone.”
“Is he really a Spirit Devour Realm warrior?”
“He’s too fast. It’s pointless to try to follow him. Let’s just deal with him if we encounter him again.”
Some of the disciples waiting for Ye Mo near the portal were alarmed by what they saw. Even some Transcendence Third Realm disciples were surprised.
“That Ye Mo’s speed is too terrifying. But, luckily, there are a lot of us and even for those with similar strengths, we can form a large group. The Asura Palace only has nine people here, and most of them are at a higher cultivation level so they won’t be staying around Ye Mo. With them focused on hunting stronger demons for points, it’s only a matter of time before Ye Mo is eliminated from the tournament.”
“Early on, I doubt many people will spend their time attacking each other. Most will focus on getting points first.”
Everyone whispered to each other as they looked in the direction Ye Mo had vanished with vicious gazes. All of them were looking forward to seeing Ye Mo get eliminated, and they were curious to see how many points Ye Mo would be able to get before then.
Ye Mo was busy flying ahead with his Caged Dragon Wings. He hadn’t noticed the people waiting for him. His plan was to work alone and hunt for Transcendence Third or Fourth Realm demons to get some points before doing anything else.
Of course, Ye Mo was also aware that if he wanted to enter the top seven, he would have to steal points from other participants as well.
After stealing the token of others, the points would be his even after being eliminated. With that, he would be able to contribute toward their team’s collective points even if he ended up eliminated.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
A sinister wind brushed past Ye Mo’s body, sounding like dragon’s breath and feeling like sharp blades. It sliced at Ye Mo’s body, only to create the grinding sound of metals colliding against each other.
Sinister wind like that was common in Purgatory, and it gave off an extremely creepy feeling.
Forget hunting Spirit Devour Realm demons and getting points, regular Spirit Devour Realm warriors would have difficulties even surviving in such a harsh environment.
Next, Ye Mo sensed a strong presence at a mountain range near him. He flew toward it, and, as he arrived, he sensed the presence locking onto him as well.
