“Not bad!” someone shouted from the crowd. “I’ll take my spot up there too!”
A shadow jumped into the air and shot towards the second arena. As he landed softly, he pulled out his sword from the sheath on his back.
It was the young master of the Qin clan, Qin Tianmu.
Ye Mo also jumped into the magic circle and onto the next arena like the other two. Yet the way he made his appearance was somewhat less impressive than the former two warriors.
Just as Ye Mo jumped onto the arena, Man Qi was looking at him from a distance with a vicious expression on his face.
“Today will be the day that you will breathe your final breath!” Man Qi snarled.
In just a few seconds, three warriors had taken three of the arenas. Before the crowd could even react, two more shadows jumped straight onto the remaining two.
“What the!”
The crowd was stunned by the last two warriors. They were the Leng siblings. BOth Ye Changsheng and Qin Tianmu, even Ye Mo, had the ability to jump onto the arena first, but Leng Feng and Leng Leng were just average warriors.
“Where is the genius from Xiao clan. Where is Xiao Yue?”
“Maybe she’s trying to give them a surprise?”
The crowd began to talk about the situation.
“Now that all five of the arenas have been occupied, anyone who wants to challenge them may proceed,” Qin Hao said.
Just as Qin Hao finished his announcement, five warriors jumped into all the arenas.
Ye Mo looked at the challenger that was standing in front of him. It was one of the Spirit Cultivating Fourth Realm disciples from the Ye clan, someone who Ye Mo could defeat without relying on the Dragon Energies.
The two guys that were sitting in the VIP box laughed. It was clear that Ye Mo would be the easiest target as he was the weakest amongst the five who jumped onto the arenas first.
The disciples from the Ye Clan had a plan from the start. They were to jump into Ye Mo’s arena one by one and challenge him until he was spent.
Standing in Ye Changsheng’s arena was one of the disciples from a small Clan while Qin Tianmu was challenged by one of the disciples from Xiao Clan. Standing opposite Leng Leng and Leng Feng were disciples from the Qin Clan.
Even if these disciples were weak, they were still strong enough to waste some of their opponents’ energies.
The disciple standing opposite Ye Mo knew who he was since they were from the same clan. He did not utter anything as he thrusted his Mortal grade sword towards Ye Mo. A couple of Sword Projections came down on Ye Mo’s head.
Ye Mo crossed his arms and kicked towards the projections. The projections were dispelled by the wind that was produced from the kick. Fire red energy from his fingertips took the shape of a sword, and he struck the opponent’s swords with his own. As soon as the swords collided, Ye Mo opened his palm and evoked the Phantom Serpent Palm, coiling his hand around the sword like a snake.
“Down with you!” Ye Mo shouted as he pulled his opponent towards him and kicked him in the stomach, sending him flying down the arena.
Ye Mo has intentionally used Ye clan’s Phantom Serpent Palm to humiliate them through his battle experience.
“One win for Ye Mo!” Qin Hao announced.
The disciple that was sent flying by Ye Mo glared at Ye Mo and disappeared in the crowd.
“My turn!” a disciple shouted as he jumped onto Ye Mo’s arena. He was a disciple from one of the smaller clans. Ye Mo hid his true power and defeated this disciple through normal martial techniques.
The other four who got onto the arena first defeated their opponents in just one move. The tense energies and powerful martial technique they had shown made everyone afraid of them.
After each of them had defeated two opponents, not one disciple was willing to challenge them further, making Ye Mo the only target for the remaining participants.
Another participant jumped onto Ye Mo’s arena and announced his name. “Yang Kun! Spirit Cultivating Fifth Realm!”
Yang Kun was the same as Ye Mo in terms of level, but Ye Mo had more experience than his opponent since he’d fought against Spirit Cultivating Ninth Realm warriors and even Half-Energy Shaping Realm warriors.
After exchanging a few blows, the crowd noticed that Yang Kun was losing every exchange. In just a few moves, Yang Kun was kicked down from the arena.
“Three wins for Ye Mo! Ye Changsheng, Qin Tianmu, Leng Feng, and Leng Leng will advance to the next round,” Qin Hao announced.
Ye Changsheng had already reached the Ninth Realm while Qin Tianmu was a Seventh Realm. With the help of Ye Mo’s Energy Seeds, Leng Feng and Leng Leng had also achieved the Seventh Realm. All of them advanced into the next round with their absolute strength over the other participants.
In contrast to them, Ye Mo had to continue facing his challengers because the participants were filled with Fifth Realm disciples.
“Is he just acting or what?” one of the Qingyun Alliance disciples asked curiously. “He was able to send Ma Xuanyi flying with one kick, but now he’s like a normal Fifth Realm warrior!”
Even the Leng siblings were stunned. They had seen Ye Mo’s true power first hand and knew that he could defeat a Seventh Realm warrior with just one move.
Participants kept jumping onto Ye Mo’s arena as he struggled to defeat them one by one.
After defeating a dozen or so participants, Ye Mo started to breathe heavily.
Ye Mo had his own intention for not using the Dragon Energies. He was trying to gain as much battle experience as possible, yet what he’d noticed was that the Five-Elements Energy Cultivation was weak, even weaker than a Low-grade Spiritual Level Cultivation Method.
Ye Hou was standing on the side when he noticed Ye Mo was already out of breath, so jumped onto the arena.
“Ha! Do you think you can survive in the Qingyun Alliance like this?” Ye Hou smirked, full of confidence that he would win. “Looks like everything people said about you was fake! Didn’t you say that you could defeat me with just a flick of your finger?”
Ye Hou was sure that Ye Mo was spent from the previous battles as it was hard to fake a person’s breathing. He was confident that he could defeat Ye Mo in his tired state.
Ye Mo had enough of hiding his true power. He willed 60 Dragon Energies into all five of his Mortal Gates as his power increased tremendously in the span of a few seconds.
As the energy around Ye Mo began to vibrate, cracks began to form on the arena.
It was as if a trapped lion was finally set free into the wild. The crowd looked at Ye Mo and his intense energy with their mouths open. The power they could feel from him was as strong as a Spirit Cultivating Ninth Realm warrior.
“What the!” Ye Hou staggered. “Did you hide your true strength? Or did you find a way to temporarily increase your power?”
“I told you yesterday, didn’t I? Our gap will only get bigger!” Ye Mo said. “You’re the one who’s responsible for Uncle Fu’s death. I’ll teach you how scary someone who’s seeking for revenge can be!”
Ye Mo disappeared from in front of Ye Hou and reappeared behind him. Ye Hou eyes widened in awe as he turned, unable to utter even a word.
Before Ye Hou could even turn, Ye Mo flicked his finger and landed a hit on Ye Hou’s back.
Bang!
Ye Hou felt like he was being launched by a cannon, and his body was sent flying.
