The only response was the sound of door closing.
After gnashing her teeth, Lily reached out her hand and stroked her belly. Her belly had slightly bulging,
and she had to admit it soon.
She sighed deeply and took out her phone to call Bob again.
Unfortunately, his phone was still switched off!
At last, she had to send a message to Bob, asked him to call back when he saw it and tell her about
something with evidence in the court.
Her father had suffered a lot in prison.
With her hands clenched into fists, Lily quickly got up to clean up and went to the company to deal with
the things of that day.
She waited till the off duty time in the evening, but there was still no reply from Bob. She was in a bad
mood. A bad feeling rose in her heart.
"That lawyer Won't trick me, right?" She bit her lip and tidied up the documents on her desk in a
disturbed mood. She was about to go home to have a sleep and get refreshed, so as not to be tired
even before the Court opened.
When she returned home, Kevin still didn't come back. She was worried about Bob, so she called him
again. Still no one answered, which made her anxious and helpless.
In the end, Lily sent a message to the office, telling them that she would ask for a day off tomorrow.
She planned to go to look for Bob directly.
At the same time, Bob was woken up in a daze. His eyes seemed to have been glued to the glue and it
was difficult for him to open them.
He couldn't help but groan because of the pain from his brain. When he was about to rub his temple
with his finger, he found that his hands and feet were tied.
He was lying on the bed in a weird position and felt weak all over. He would feel piercing pain if he
moved a little. Bob tried his best to open his eyes, but only to find that it was dark and he couldn't see
anything.
It was so quiet here that even the crisp sound of dripping water from the ground could be heard clearly.
"Who did I offend..." Bob muttered to himself with a bitter smile.
He sat on the ground feebly, not because he didn't want to get up, but he could clearly feel that under
the situation, he could not get up at all!
It was difficult for him to stand up no matter how hard he has tried.
Bob looked around vigilantly. Even though it was so dark that he couldn't see anything, with the inborn
sensitivity of the lawyer and his sensitivity to crucial evidence, it was highly possible that the kidnapper
was most likely to be the real murder of Haber's case at this time!
If he could escape, this must be a huge progress, and it could also be the key evidence!
While he was thinking, he tried to take control of both his body and his spirit. His two tied hands started
to twist the reins.
But when he carefully felt the strength and position of the rope, he was shocked to find that this method
of binding was absolutely belong to an experienced person who is skillful.
It seemed that the real murderer was very cunning. But it was understandable that he couldn't find the
key evidence for such a long time if the murder was not cunning.
For the first time in Bob's life, he felt that he was so lucky!
As a lawyer, in order to find evidence with a better way, he had specially learned a lot of knowledge
about almost every aspect. It could be said that he was Sherlock Holmes of the new generation. But it
was regretted that he had never worked as a detective.
What's more, his friends in the police station once asked help for him about tying up a prisoner without
handcuffs. And he was the prisoner.
After countless practice, it could be said that he was proficient in binding and untying.
After a few seconds, the rope was torn off.
He wanted to stand up, but he fell down immediately. Bob was fell on his knees helplessly, unable to
stand up.
After a long time, he stood up against the wall reluctantly with a somewhat funny look.
After resting for a while, he felt that he could get up now. He began to move slowly along the wall. The
room was not big, but he found a serious problem here. There was no door!
No door, no door Bob thought about how they locked him up here? It was impossible to build a fully
enclosed house in a short time, and locked him in.
Where the hell was the exit? He knelt down and kept groping the ground, but he couldn't find a
mechanism.
Excepted the walls and the floor, the only thing he could think of was the ceiling. But it was dark
around. He couldn't see anything and he even didn't know how far between ground and the celling.
Frustrated, he returned to where he had been. He leaned his head against the wall, deep in thought.
Suddenly, he heard some voices which were getting louder and louder. It was obvious that they were
getting closer and closer to him.
The sound came from above. He listened carefully.
Now it was clear that he was locked up underground.
Bob sighed. He was thinking how to deal with the situation and listening carefully to their conversation.
The one was cursed and there was other one with shrill voice. It means that they are more than one but
a group.
"Damn it, that bitch dared to play a trick on me! Tied him and released him for few days? Is that a
joke?" A strange man almost shouted. Judging from his voice, Bob could tell he was very angry.
"Brother, calm down, calm down..." The other man said cautiously, seeming to be fawning on this man,
"that lady offered a high price and this request could help us. As long as we done this job, we won't
have to do this anymore."
Someone had paid a high price to kidnap him for a few days?
The court would open for few days later. Obviously, the person did this on purpose. In order to make
him miss the court, the person might be the murderer or one of murderer's helpers.
Suddenly, a loud voice came from the top of his head. He immediately became alert and tied the rope
back. Although the rope was not as dense as before, he could surely fool those people.
He waited for a long time, but no one came.
"I shouldn't pissed them off. Now I have to suffer this." Bob said, with a bitter smile on his face. He had
nothing like cellphone and wallet but clothes on him.
He didn't know the exact time for now.
"Well, I guess I can only apologize to Mrs. Qin. I don't know if her father is on the trial. I hope she can
get through the difficulty and save her father. " Bob muttered.
He felt sorry for Lily since he promised her but in the end he didn't keep his promise.
Now he could only wait for the time those people had told before, and then let him go.
