Chapter 2086: Out In the Open (4)
After that, Emperor Wu walked away.
His servant quickly lifted the door curtain for him.
Seeing Emperor Wu leave, Empress Dugu smirked.
She would make sure that the father and son didn’t see eye to eye.
After Emperor Wu left, another person entered the tent.
There was the sound of someone clapping.
Empress Dugu knew who it was before she turned around.
“That was amazing, Mother. You set Father off with a few simple words. He’s off to scold Jun Linyuan, and they’ll get into a row again,” said the second prince in a pleased tone. “Their relationship will keep worsening until they become real enemies!”
Empress Dugu looked affectionately at her son. “And the throne will be yours.”
The second prince nodded. He then said in a pleading tone, “Mother, I want to marry Ranmil.”
Empress Dugu frowned.
The second prince went on. “Mother, what do you think I should look for in a wife?”
Empress Dugu said, “The power of her maternal family.”
The second prince shook his head. “That’s important, but not the most important thing. Look at Jun Linyuan. He doesn’t have that sort of power at all.”
Empress Dugu had nothing to say to that.
The second prince said, “Mother, the most important thing is her capability. With Jun Linyuan’s capability, he can do whatever he wants. He has always ignored me.”
Empress Dugu felt sorry for her son.
The second prince gritted his teeth. “He won’t dare to ignore me if I’m a powerful man! Mother, no matter how many powerful friends I have, the power is still theirs! I need to have power of my own!
“Ranmil knows the Fierce Face dance and has an Enchanting Body!” the second prince said excitedly. “After marrying her, I’ll become so much more powerful!”
Empress Dugu asked, “Are you sure of that?”
“Mother, I haven’t made much progress mainly because I love women and I’m too lazy! But once I have Ranmil, things will be different. I can make progress lying down!
“Mother, that’s the most suitable way for me! There’s only one Ranmil in the whole continent! I have to have her!” the second prince pleaded.
“Didn’t you hear her? She’s in love with Jun Linyuan!” said Empress Dugu.
“Mother, a woman will settle down after she’s married! Once she’s my wife, she’ll have to obey me! If she so much as glances at Jun Linyuan, I’ll break her legs!”
Empress Dugu didn’t like the idea, but if the second prince’s capability really could improve…
“Alright. I’ll help you!”
Empress Dugu was then lost in thought as she tried to think of a way to marry Ranmil to her son.
The cool wind outside cleared Emperor Wu’s head.
Should he go to Jun Linyuan and scold him?
He shook his head. That defiant son wouldn’t just stand there and listen to him.
If scolding him worked, that boy wouldn’t have become so unruly.
But he had stormed out of the tent…
