Chapter 157 - 157: Is It That Strange That I’ve Killed A Pig Before?
Before Huo Zihang could say anything, Yan Jinyi said, "I know, I know, actually it takes skill to do that too."
With a few large strides, she walked towards the sofa and pointed at Huo Zihang's neck excitedly. "Newbies are too timid and insufficiently skilled. The blade might be too blunt too, so it's hard to kill them all at once."
Huo Chengyu looked at Yan Jinyi and thought, 'Why does she act like she understands me very well?'
"Actually, it's not that troublesome. Just place the knife here." Yan Jinyi leaned closer to Huo Zihang and grazed her fingertip across his neck. "A slight vibration of the blade will make it easier to make a cut in the flesh. Once you apply force, the head will be severed immediately. You don't have to do it so slowly, that'll cause you to be stained with blood."
Huo Zihang somehow felt a cold chill in his neck and he hurriedly and timidly left his seat.
He felt like he was on the verge of getting beheaded!
With a gleam of light in his eyes, Huo Chengyu said, "Sister-in-law, it seems you have done quite a bit of research on this."
Yan Jinyi waved her hand and answered proudly, "I've tried my hands at it too!"
Huo Chengyu and Huo Zihang stared at her.
She paused and immediately coughed with her fist in front of her mouth. "I've slaughtered pigs before back in the village. It's just a trivial matter that's a piece of cake... I beheaded the pig."
Looking at her like she was a monster, he asked, "You slaughtered pigs before?"
Putting her hands on her waist, Yan Jinyi retorted, "Why? Do you really think everyone is as spoiled as you? I've lived in the village for several years. Is it very strange that I've slaughtered pigs before?"
The former Yan Jinyi had really lived in a village before!
"Sister-in-law, do you know anything about anatomy and dissection?" Huo Chengyu suddenly asked.
Yan Jinyi's eyes lit up as she answered, "No, but I've always wanted to know more about the skeletal structure of humans!"
There was a lack of resources in the fortress in the past and so she would take her underlings with her to hunt in the wilderness. During those trips, she inevitably encountered skeletons and bones, which she would then bring back with her for further study.
"Sister-in-law, if you're interested, I can break it down for you into layman terms and give you some insights."
Yan Jinyi pushed Huo Zihang away immediately and moved towards Huo Chengyu. "Sure, tell me if there's any torture method that will make one feel like they're in a living hell."
"This ones widely known. Cutting off all limbs while leaving the head intact."
Yan Jinyi rolled her eyes as she was already aware of that.
"What exactly is the organ structure of humans like? I've read several books about it but unfortunately, I haven't had the time to put theory into practice."
Huo Zihang thought, 'You want to put it into practice? You're out of your mind!'
It was Huo Chengyu's first time encountering a girl who was so interested in such things. He generously fed her with information, "It may be impossible for you to try your hands on the real thing but I have a few specimens that are very close to the real deal. It's almost convincing."
"That's fine, it's a good skill to learn."
Since Yan Jinyi was particularly interested, Huo Chengyu instructed the servant to bring a detailed diagram of the structure of the human body and said, "Being taught in person is definitely better than reading off of books. Maybe, I can give you some guidance."
Seated cross-legged on the sofa like an obedient child, Yan Jinyi answered, "Sure."
The two of them were discussing about an extremely brutal topic.
The topics of their conversation went from the process of picking and breaking tendons to accurately killing someone with a single, fatal shot. They talked about everything under the sun that was related to that topic.
Seated at the side, Huo Zihang's hair stood on ends.
Yan Jinyi was indeed fierce. Of all things, she wanted to learn about such cruel and brutal skills.
'No, it can't be considered learning...'
'She probably knows more than Huo Chengyu does in some aspects...'
