Chapter 1620 We Want To Fight
The Old man looked at Grey with a cold expression, "So you're saying you're capable of killing them?"
Grey and Klaus chuckled, "Do we look so dumb that we'll put our lives in danger?"
The Old man thought about it and felt maybe they were not dumb, but just overestimating their abilities.
"Here's the thing, you should already see how incompetent they are, we've been here for a few minutes now and they don't even know if we're here." Klaus gave a mocking laugh as he said.
When the Old man and the Prince thought about it, they couldn't help but agree with Klaus. If the two experts there were strong enough, they would've already sensed the presence of Grey and his friends a while now, but they haven't, which meant they weren't aware of their presence in the building.
"What do you want?" The Old man calmed his nerves and asked.
"We've already told you, empty your treasury, then we'll know how serious you are." Klaus didn't want to let the entire treasury go, even though they've taken most of the top treasures there, he still didn't mind taking the rest of the things there.
The Old man didn't know how to get out of this predicament, with no other choice, after giving it some thought, he nodded.
"Fine, come with me."
The Prince looked at the Old man, he didn't expect the Old man to agree to their words, but when he thought about the situation, he knew they didn't have much of a choice.
He followed behind the Old man as they walked towards his doom.
When they entered the room, the young lady that was there, was still sleeping peacefully.
Alice sensed the girl and raised a brow, "Is she here willingly?"
The Old man looked in their direction, "What does the business of us Gnomes have to do with you humans?"
"I might not be of your race, but I still will not stand for a lady to be used in such a manner." Alice's voice was chill.
Grey took a glance at the young lady and could easily tell she was forced here. He could also see the signs of struggle and the marks on her body. He shook his head, before sending a stream of energy into her body. The marks on her body vanished, and her figure disappeared from the room.
"Don't do disgusting things, you're too Old for all these things." Klaus commented, while looking at the man in disdain.
The man didn't care about the views they had of him, rather, he opened the same place the group used the last time and the opening appeared.
"There are three guards there, they'll attack if they see you following me menacingly." The Old man warned.
"Don't worry about that, just take us to the treasury, we'll deal with the rest." Grey said.
Just as they were about to leave, Klaus paused, and to the shock of the man, his king size bed vanished.
Klaus acted like he didn't do anything, while veins popped on the head of the Old man, he didn't speak and led them into the tunnel.
He has been trying to contact the experts in the mansion while they were heading towards the treasury, he knew if he moved closer to them, he would be able to breach whatever Grey and his friends used in blocking this place from the senses of the experts. Once those guys sense the danger, they'll rush over.
He felt if Grey and Klaus were truly confident about their abilities, they wouldn't try to hide their presence from the experts. Assassins are very great at hiding their presence from the senses of experts with three to four levels above them, so it isn't strange to see something like this. Also, there's the greed of the group, if they were confident, they wouldn't want to get the treasures first.
The Old man had a plan, but his expression changed drastically when they got to the place leading into the treasury after walking through the tunnel. Before he could speak of the guards there, Grey, Klaus, Alice and Reynolds were nowhere behind them, rather, they suddenly appeared beside the guards and attacked. The guards weren't able to even defend before their heads were chopped off in one clean strike.
In fact, for all four of them to attack at the same time was already overkill.
The mouth of the Old man was left agape when he saw this. These were people on the same level as him, they were even stronger, yet they couldn't fight back against the group.
The scene before him made him realize that against these four, he didn't even stand a chance, he would be killed without even being able to react.
Klaus looked at the dread in the eyes of the Old man and smiled, "Lead the way, Old man."
The Old man snapped back to reality when he heard Klaus's voice and continued walking. The Prince looked at the scene, he could feel his body shaking, and he noticed his legs were going weak. He has seen people strong, but he has always avoided any form of conflict, being in the presence of such bloodthirsty youths, he felt a sense of fear since his life wasn't in his hands. If it were anyone else, he would've been confident, but these were people sent here by the First and Second Prince, it meant they might have given them the order to kill everyone involved, including him.
He followed the Old man, and Grey and his friends were the last to enter the treasury.
Grey looked at the situation and chuckled, he could tell the Old man was trying to contact the experts, but he wasn't afraid. At most he will either take the battle away from here, or even fight it out here, he didn't care if they killed innocent Gnomes from the impact of the battle. Humans have been suffering from the battles with Gnomes for a while now, so there's no point in pitying them. Putting them in the same situation would make them see how terrible their actions are. Of course, that's not going to change the thoughts of the older Gnomes who are in charge, but at least he wanted the Gnome world to suffer.
The second the group entered the treasury, Grey and Void acted quickly, and in a matter of seconds, the entire place was wiped clean.
The Old man couldn't believe his eyes. These were things that took them years to gather, and they're used to train their younger generations, but it has been taken all within the blink of an eye.
The Old man looked at Grey and Klaus, and knew this wasn't their first time doing something like this. He already guessed this when Klaus took his bed, but watching them in action, he was frightened. These people could wipe out an entire family's worth of treasures in a second and make it look so easy.
"Those guys should have gotten your message by now, what's taking them so long?" Grey asked the Old man.
When the Old man heard this question, he paused and took a glance at Grey.
'He knew yet he told me to lead the way.'
The Old man couldn't understand Grey's thought process.
'Kids, they always overestimate themselves once they have a bit of strength. Don't worry, you'll suffer for this. I can't wait to see the Elders kill you four.'
The Old man was still confident that the reason Grey was speaking in this manner was because he was overestimating his abilities. Once he's up against a true expert like the Elders present in the mansion, they would realize the difference in strength but it would be too late.
"If you want to see them so badly, I can take you to them." The Old man suggested.
"Or better still, remove whatever you're using to hide your presence." He added.
Grey looked at the man and said, "You're pretty confident in those old guys. I'd love to see your expression when we've dealt with them."
"Kid, you've taken the treasures, leave, I'll also reward you. A battle isn't something we all want." The Prince said.
"Who asked for your opinion?" Klaus released a chilling cold that made both the Prince and the Old man visibly shake.
"A battle wouldn't do any of us any good." The Prince still stood his ground and said.
"You don't need to worry about us, be scared for your guy there, he'll not be able to live past today or tomorrow." Klaus pointed at the Old man.
The Old man snorted, but he quickly put on a fearful expression when he saw Klaus standing in front of him with an ice cold sword pointing at his head.
"You're not really needed alive. I don't think the Princes will be angry if we kill him." Klaus licked his lips.
Grey shook his head, "Not really, but keeping him alive is better."
