Chapter 681 Mystic Mission
While chaos emerged in the cafeteria from the shocking news of the first Veil's birth, Dilan just watched them.
Ariel appeared next to him but she didn't say anything.
No words were needed to understand that the current situation was a big mess. It was not something they could handle easily.
Ariel was trying to sort her thoughts and figure out the most efficient way to solve the given situation quickly. The Veil was a big problem but they didn't even know which crack in the void burst open, let alone how long it would take for truly troublesome existences to emerge from it.
Even weak Veilures would try to feast on the fate and origin energy of the Universe and feed it to the Veils to enlarge them. This was quite troublesome but it was not a Universe devouring problem or something that allowed a Lesser God to spend time searching the Universe for space cracks in the Universe.
"The Queen of Immortality and her Images area already searching the Universe. In fact, the Queen's Image notified me that many Ancient True Gods were also on their way," Dilan said at this moment. His expression had calmed a little but he didn't seem relaxed, at all.
At first, Dilan felt that the first Veil would already be a huge problem but that was not the case. There were already old existences that had existed long since before Milarn was even given birth to.
There were Ancient and Primordial races with a history much longer than most planets, Ancient True Gods, existed that could destroy planets like Milarn with a snap of their fingers, and Beast Gods that transcended the realms monsters were supposed to be able to reach.
Dilan was not alone, he was not supposed to shackle everything all by himself…he was still growing. This was what the Queen of Immortality was trying to show him by allowing him to make use of the 341st Image's main functions.
She knew that there was a reason for the Image in the City of Trials to have taught him the Immortal Godbringer Amasutra. It didn't matter what the reason was but it clearly showed that Dilan's heart was at the right spot and that he was the person they were looking for.
However, Dilan needed more time to grow…and that was what the Queen of Immortality would provide him!
The 341st Image forwarded the message of the main body to Dilan. It was a simple message but the meaning behind was grand.
[We are not desperate enough to require the help of a newborn like you!]
Dilan smiled lightly when he read the message. He scratched the back of his head and wondered if he had been a little bit over the top by gathering everyone and shocking them with the system's black notification.
"I guess you have some good news as well," Ariel Silvertale asked all of a sudden. Everyone stopped moving when they heard her quiet yet steadfast voice ringing through their ears. The chaos in the cafeteria dispersed at once while the focus moved to both Ariel and Dilan.
Dilan looked up from the holographic screen and he returned Ariel's gaze.
"I was just notified that newborns like me aren't required to move yet. Looks like the oldies have already gotten wind of the Veil's birth."
Dilan's reply might sound weird to some but the most important information was quite simple. The old existences didn't need Dilan right now, the situation was still something they could handle!
It felt like the entire flying island was breathing out in relief as everyone in the cafeteria exhaled deeply.
Dilan looked at the reaction of the Undying Group's member, whose eyes were gleaming in determination and hope to have enough time to become stronger before his eyes flickered to the Essence Angels.
"I don't really think that your people understand that it is still troublesome for a Veil to have been born already… Look how relieved they're…" Dilan mumbled, shaking his head lightly.
On the other hand, he gave his people a thumbs up.
It was good that his people were motivated to become stronger and Dilan hoped for the best. At the same time, he took a look at the notification that had appeared in front of him.
"Huh…" He blurted out loud, attracting everyone's attention once again. However, this time, Dilan was more astonished than relieved, angered, let alone afraid.
"You get many notifications, don't you think?" Ariel asked, half-serious half-jokingly.
Dilan pondered for a moment before he shrugged his shoulder.
"Well, it looks like the birth of the first Veil can also be considered an opportunity…the system seems to have anticipated the course of events," He said while giving Ariel permission to see the golden notification that had appeared in front of him.
She leaned over to him and read the golden message.
