Lin Qingqian was stunned for a moment before she realized what he meant. She was so angry that she wanted to laugh.
“Jiang Yanshen, you’re the one who should be seeing a psychiatrist, right?” Otherwise, why would he think that she wanted to divorce him because of psychological problems?!
Jiang Yanshen’s dark eyes flickered slightly, and a look quickly flashed across them. It was too fast for her to catch it. His large palm grabbed her wrist tightly, and his black eyes closed slightly. He stopped talking.
Lin Qingqian sat up straight and tried to pry open his fingers, but to no avail. Her voice could not hide her anger. “Jiang Yanshen, I’m not sick!”
He closed his eyes and said coldly, “The doctor has the final say.”
Lin Qingqian no longer wanted to talk to him. She picked up her phone and looked at her WeChat. She saw that her newly added WeChat group had already exploded.
The editor-in-chief sent her a voice message. The general meaning was that she had a noble status and the company might be restricting her development and they wanted to dismiss her.
Jiang Yanshen had openly said that she was Mrs. Jiang. At that time, many people in the dressing room and corridor heard it. For a moment, the news of Jiang Yanshen’s marriage exploded in the industry.
Many people on WeChat also sent messages to ask her questions. Some of them even had ill intentions.
Lin Qingqian did not reply to any of the messages. She turned off her phone and threw it aside.
About 20 minutes later, there was a sudden knock on the door. “Director Jiang, Doctor Shen is here.”
When Lin Qingqian looked up at the man sitting beside her, his originally closed eyes slowly opened. His clear eyes looked past her to the closed door, and his thin lips only uttered two words. “Come in.”
The door opened and a clear voice sounded at the same time. “Why did you suddenly call me over? Don’t you know that I don’t accept house calls…”
Before she could finish speaking, a cold gaze made her voice stop abruptly. Her gaze landed on the woman beside Jiang Yanshen, and a look flashed across her eyes. She introduced herself politely, “Hello, Mrs. Jiang. I’m Shen Zhiwei.”
A trace of surprise flashed across Lin Qingqian’s eyes. This woman actually knew about her relationship with Jiang Yanshen? She quietly sized her up with her clear eyes.
Shen Zhiwei was wearing a black professional suit with a white vertical striped shirt underneath. Her black hair was straight and fell onto her shoulders, and her facial features were upright and delicate. She did not look stiff like a working woman. Instead, she looked like a professional female elite from a Hong Kong movie in the 1980s and 1990s. She seemed capable and bold.
While Lin Qingqian was sizing up Shen Zhiwei, Shen Zhiwei was also sizing her up. Her gaze quickly swept towards Jiang Yanshen with a hint of inquiry.
Jiang Yanshen stood up and said in a cold voice, “I’ll leave her to you.”
Shen Zhiwei raised her eyebrows slightly. Clearly, she did not expect Mrs. Jiang to be the one who needed to see a psychiatrist.
Lin Qingqian looked up at the man’s back as he walked towards the door and suddenly said, “If Doctor Shen proves that there’s nothing wrong with my mind, will you sign the divorce papers?”
Jiang Yanshen paused, but he did not turn around. He only gave her a determined back view.
A trace of surprise flashed across Shen Zhiwei’s eyes, as if she had discovered some extraordinary secret.
Lin Qingqian looked at her. “I just want a divorce, but he thinks that I’m mentally ill. Do you think I’m sick or he’s sick?”
Shen Zhiwei naturally would not answer such an offensive question. She carried her briefcase to the sofa and asked politely, “May I sit down first?”
Lin Qingqian made an inviting gesture.
Shen Zhiwei sat down and placed her briefcase aside. She looked up at the woman sitting opposite her and smiled. “Actually, as society develops, the pace of life will become faster and faster, and the pressure on people will increase. Everyone will more or less develop some psychological problems.”
