Chapter 63: Is It Possible for a Man to Become a Cat?

The surveillance video that Fu Sichen had seen earlier, had definitely shown the Persian cat opening the door.
The doors to the rooms of the hotel were extremely secure; this was without a doubt. In order to open the door, you had to twist open a lock— it wasn’t as simple as just pressing down a door handle.
Even five or six year old children might not know how to get a door open, let alone a cat.
Not to mention, Fu Sichen remembered that there had been a chair placed behind the door when he went back to the room. He definitely remembered that that chair had been behind the desk when he left that morning.
“Sichen, how was filming?” Wang Youquan didn’t have anything against Xiao Nian. He was just relieved that Fu Sichen hadn’t beat up anybody. He shut the door before saying, “If you finished filming early, then we can immediately return to Donghai… Uh… Sichen?”
Fu Sichen didn’t reply. Wang Youquan noticed that he was staring at the iPad. Puzzled, he asked, “What’s wrong?”
Just now, was Xiao Nian trying to delete some important documents? Or maybe, he had been snooping around, and ended up finding some kind of important private information?
“It’s nothing.” Fu Sichen tried to ignore all of his doubts, clicking open a movie for the Persian cat to watch. He said, without changing the expression on his face, “Lin Yousu couldn’t bring herself into the role, so the filming will probably have to be delayed until further notice.”
“Oh.” Wang Youquan sighed lightly, but he wasn’t surprised at all by the news. “Maybe you can give her a few pointers? After all, not everyone can act as well as you do.”
“You’re wrong.”
“What?” Wang Youquan asked, confused.
Fu Sichen stared at the Persian cat steadily, with his eyes full of deep emotions, “There’s one person who can act as well as I do— Pei Zhen.”
Hearing his name, Pei Zhen was stunned for a bit before looking up. But, the moment his eyes met Fu Sichen’s, his heart skipped a beat.
He hardly had time to be ecstatic over his sworn rival’s acknowledgement, before he was hit by an even more complicated emotion.
Why was Fu Sichen looking at him when he said, “Pei Zhen?” He… He… He was just a cat right now.
Did Fu Sichen notice something?!
Pei Zhen quickly looked away, and his gaze fell on the iPad. Coincidentally, he had acted in the movie that was playing. So, did that mean that Fu Sichen was also watching this movie?
After thinking this, Pei Zhen felt happy again.
Hmph, what does Fu Sichen mean by saying that their acting skills are equal? His acting skills were far better than that guy whose last name was Fu! The only thing that Fu Sichen did until now, was study and learn from him!
This was how Pei Zhen explained why Fu Sichen kept watching shows that he had acted in.
If Fu Sichen knew about all of Pei Zhen’s thoughts and misunderstandings… then he’d probably want to kill somebody. But, at least for now, Pei Zhen was satisfied by the conclusion that he had drawn.
He lifted his head to look Fu Sichen in the eyes again. This time, he didn’t feel guilty at all. He even took a confident step backwards in the hopes of letting Best Actor Fu have a better view of the screen.
Here you go. Watch me act as much as you want. Feel free to learn from my skills as much as possible. Your Daddy’s acting skills are at the epitome of excellence, so it’s good that you want to improve yourself.
“Wang Youquan.” Fu Sichen suddenly said in a low voice, “Isn’t there a variety show about pets? Can you help me get in contact with them?”
Wang Youquan stopped for a while, “Yes, yes. But…” Didn’t you end up rejecting their offer, right off the bat?
“Tell them that I’m in.” Fu Sichen turned and walked out, “I want to participate.”
Wang Youquan was left speechless.
Pei Zhen was left speechless too.
What’s wrong with Best Actor Fu? Why is he so interested in little animals all of a sudden!?
But alas, Fu Sichen had never been a person that explained his decisions or actions.
After walking out of the room, Fu Sichen couldn’t help but type something into the internet search bar.
[Is it possible for a man to become a cat?]
After typing out this question, Fu Sichen stared at the word “become.” For a long time, he couldn’t bring himself to hit the search button.
He must be out of his mind.
This was reality, not some kind of novel. How could something so strange happen in real life?
