"We did it!"
When the last log was put in place to finally complete the new wall, the villagers and the players all burst into applause and cheers. All of them, wearing an overjoyed and satisfied look on their faces as they raised their hands in the air.
Michael looked at the smiling faces of the people around him as he wiped off the sweat from his face.
"We finally did it. God, it was tiring!" Dylan suddenly came over and hooked his arm around Michael's shoulders.
"Prepare the ingredients! We're gonna have a feast tonight!"
"UOOHHH!"
Michael yelled and the people quickly responded to it with a loud cheer that even shook the piled up snow on the ground.
Michael then had the women in the village prepare the meal for tonight's feast, and after that, he made his way towards where Solitary Tempest and the others are, with Dylan following behind him.
Solitary Tempest saw Michael coming over and quickly excused herself from Minerva and made her way towards Michael.
"Are you leaving after the feast?" Michael said the moment both of them arrived before each other.
"Yeah, I and Jenny along with some friends are going out for dinner tonight. You know, girls night" Solitary Tempest replied as both of them started walking side by side towards the village square.
"We already made plans about this a week ago," Solitary Tempest continued.
While Michael on the other hand just nodded in understanding as he doesn't really mind her going out with her friends as long as it doesn't cause them any problems whatsoever.
"How many are you there for today's night out?" asked Michael as he turned towards her.
"There will five of us. Why? Do you want to come? Are you worried about some guys hitting on us?" Solitary Tempest showed him a teasing smile.
Michael just snorted softly and shook his head and said, "Of course not. I'm pretty confident about my looks and personality"
Solitary Tempest rolled her eyes at him and said, "Did someone ever tell you that you're one really arrogant bastard?"
Michael nodded lightly and said, "Yeah"
Solitary Tempest raised an eyebrow, a little bit surprised, and said, "Really? Who?"
"You"
Michael pointed towards her and laughed.
"You just told me"
Slap!
Solitary Tempest couldn't help but slap Michael on his arm as she laughed, "You're such an idiot!"
Michael just smiled and put his arms around her shoulders, as both of them finally reached the village square where most of the people are already gathered over and moving about.
The women are busy preparing the food for the upcoming feast while the men are busy chopping some meat and lighting some firewood.
Some players are also helping them, while some had already left the game and went back to the real world, busy with their own matters.
Solitary Tempest quickly turned her head towards Michael when she remembered something, "Right, how come I'm not seeing Sonya anymore? Did she leave the village?"
"Yes"
Remembering what happened a couple of nights ago, Michael just sighed with a wary smile on his face which made Solitary Tempest raised an eyebrow looking at her lover's expression.
A couple of nights ago.
Michael arrived at Sonya's place after today's' tiring work.
Shadow, I'm leaving both of my children to you. Make sure to take care of them"
Michael could still remember those words that Sonya said to him the moment that he had just stepped inside her cabin.
"W-what?" Michael grew startled by that request.
"I'm leaving you this place now that you are here to look after this village," Sonya said as she slowly stood up from her chair.
"You, leaving!? Wait, that's not exactly the point here. Your children!? These two kids here are yours!?"
Michael was really shocked, it was like a bomb going off on his head when he finally realized what is happening.
"Yes they are, so make sure to take care of me while I'm away, or else..." Sonya said with her back turned towards Michael while she gazed lovingly at the two kids sleeping soundly on the floor with a quilt covering their bodies.
"But I thought the two of them are orphans?" Michael already calmed down after his initial shock.
"They're not, they just cannot remember who their parents are until they reach adulthood" Sonya replied.
"What?" Michael looked at Sonya with skeptical eyes, because as far as he knows, humans don't need to reach adult just so that they could remember who their parents are, right?
"Their Draconians, that's why" Sonya answered like she already knew what Michael was thinking inside.
Michael didn't utter a damn word, but his eyes and mouth clearly widened in shock and disbelief.
"Draconians, that means…"
"That I'm a dragon"
Michael didn't even finish what he wanted to say when Sonya quickly cut him off.
"Holy..sh*t!"
